VERY UNUSUAL ANTIQUE ICE SKATES........MUST SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the most unique pair of antique ice skates we have ever owned. Measuring about 15 1/2" from heel to outermost part of the 4" curl. The majority of the original red paint remains. What sets this pair apart is the curved tin"spring" part for your heel. We are not sure if they were a racing skate or just what the purpose was, and if you know, please share your knowledge with us. The only mark is a"B" stamped on the bottom of the wooden platform. The leather straps are long gone as with most antique skates. As always, feel free to ask any questions. Purchased at an estate sale is a beautiful probably antique. Sewing box done in a dark wood oval shape. There are two flaps for openings with hinged closure. Inside has a 8" shelf with lip. Box itself measures approx. 14" long, 4 1/2 tall and 4" deep at each side. Overall, this box is in very good condition. The forks I did not find a mark on. I belive the handles are wood with pewter or lead inlay design according to other vendors. Approx. Knife 9 3/8" and 9 1/2" long. Fork 7 1/4" and 7 5/8" long. WOOF-WOOF Antique Mohair Straw Stuffed Doggie from the 1920-30's This auction is for a great little straw stuffed doggie from the late 1920-1930's. He is made of a light tan/grey colored mohair and is in great condition for his age. He has lost a lot of his mohair and is soiled from age and storage; has a chew mark on his right ear. But no holes or leaks. He still has is original boot button eyes(one is scratched) and appears to have original nose stitching as well. possibly missing mouth stitching-but not sure if he ever had a stitched mouth! He has a couple of stains on his left side/eye area and a few tiny spots of glue residue and just a tiny ... morebit of his wire frame peaking out under his left paw. Her hair is of I bleached raw wool her face and shoes have been hand painted. Her nose has been pinch sewn and her hands have sewn in fingers. Her frock is made of vintage burlap potato sack. 2 unusual ca 1900 nickle plated brass collapsible cups
Offered here without reserve are these two somewhat unusual nickle plated collapsible cups. With the larger one having its original leather carrying case. The cup on the right stands appx 3" high when extended(2" in diameter at the top) when its mate stands 2 1/2" high when extended and is 2 1/2" in diameter at the base. This second cup is also stamped on the bottom as shown in my 3rd picture. Notice how the handle folds in for both cups. Again, there is no reserve but buyer pays $6 for priority USPS domestic shipping.

This Listing is for an Antique Yomud Hatchli Ensi Engsi Turkman/ Turkoman Prayer Rug/ Tent Door Hanging. It measures 45 inches by 59 inches A Tribal rug. It is made for personal use and not a commercial piece. Turkomans are nomads living in the northern part of Iran. And other border countries in that area. Yomud is the name of the clan within the tribe. Certain motifs or ornamentation in this rug. Associates the rug to the particular sub- tribe as seen in other Yomud rugs and carpets. This carpet was made by the tribal people of what is now Turkestan area in Russia. During the time the geographical area was part of Persia. This rug was made for their personal use. And that is to cover the doorway of the tent for special occasion or for symbolic reasons, for example: Doorway to Heaven" This carpet also consists of a motif called" ... moreMehrab" directional) which could classify the rug as a prayer rug. The four quadrant design is said to have adapted from times of"Cyrus The Great" representing the format of the Imperial garden. Beautiful Folk Art Flower takes up most of the front of crock! Jar is incised with BELMONT AVE. POTTERY. and the number 6 quarts or 1-1/2 gallons. Crock measures 10-1/4" tall, approximately 25" around, 8" across bottom of jar and 5-7/8" across the top outside lip ~ 4-15/16" across the top inside lip. The socket also is good with no cracks. There is a hole on the underside for pinning this to a handle. This could be used with either a short or long handle.
