RARE ANTIQUE 18TH C HAND FORGED TWO TINE FORK W/ COW BONE / HORN HANDLE
For sale is an early two tine fork. Probably Rev War era. The tines are hand forged iron with forge line visible. There is a forged iron cap on end of cow horn or cow bone handle. The bone slabs over iron tangs are held together with iron pins. It measures about 5 and 3/4 inches long. George Neumann's book on the American Rev War shows an identical one. The text describes how forks are rarely found whereas spoons and knives were more common. Also everybody needs one for their hunting bag. Listing very cheap with NO RESERVE! The exterior of the container has been wrapped with an adhesive material and a coffee and cinnamon stain applied for an aged appearance. We at this time have a large quantity of Antique. Vintage and other Collectible items that came from our Aunt and Uncle's estate. They were self made professional people who knew the value of things and how to take care of them. Their smoke free home was very nice and well kept with no pets. This box dates back a few generations. It is well made and sturdy. It has dovetail sides. Slat type bottom board an the top has a solid core with alternating light and dark strips laminated on both sides. The measurements are 27" long, 12" deep and 5 1/2" tall. I have made this lil' sweetheart with the help of a great pattern by: MyRaggedyDolls" Annie measures about 11" tall and is the greatest size to tuck anywhere in your home. She is made from coffee stained muslin. She has brown ringlet hair that I have tied up with a white fabric bow. She has beautiful eyes that I have painted on along with a cute lil' red nose. Her eyebrows. Eyelashes and mouth have all been sewn on with black floss. She has the cutiest lil' smirk and cute freckles. I have done some shading around her facial features with a prisma pencil, blushed her cheeks and have given her a coat of sealer so she won't smudge on you. The bodice of her dress is made from a turquoise blue gingham fabric and the bottom of her ... moredress is made from a cute turtle fabric and I have sewn some pink ricrac to her dress. I have also sewn on a cute butterfly button. She is wearing a pair of pantaloons that are made of the same fabric as her dress bodice and are hemmed in pink floss. I have given her a hangtag that has"Annie" stamped on it. She has red and white stockings that I have painted on and sanded along with a pair of lil' black shoes. RUSTIC Pair of Hand Made Wrought Iron 15" strap hinges from pre Civil War Barn
Right off the side barn door A great pair of heavy duty hand forged wrought iron colonial hinges from a pre Civil War Barn in Upstate. New York. Barn door pictured. Each hinge strap measures approx. 15" long and 1 1/2" at their widest point. The first section of this barn was built in 1781. The barn was added to and repurposed to suit the farms needs until the 1950's. Since then. It has mostly been used for storage. This barn has some hand hewn beams that are 16" wide and outside barn board that is as wide as 18" Unfortunately this barn is too expensive to restore and will be coming down in the near future. These hinges have not been cleaned or the original surface disturbed. I was able to salvage 4 of the rose head nails that are included. Please ask any question you may have.

This is an authentic 19th century baby cradle. It is not a doll cradle or a reproduction. It does have wear from both use and years gone by. HOWEVER. It is an endearing, beautiful compliment to any Primitive Americana home. It was obtained in the 1950's along with Shaker& Other Primitive furniture pieces and it has remained in the same family since then. In its construction besides wood. Are dovetailed corners, nails and screws. It has 3 inch heart-shaped handles at each side. It does need some minor repair work which can easily be made by an experienced carpenter. This listing is for a set of three primitive hand wrought iron graduated candle stands. They stand on three legs. The top is a cut out trillium or some similiar flower. They are rusty but some of the original paint is still there. It is a muted aqua color. I considered sanding and repainting but could never bring myself to do so. The inside is triangular inside one could push candles into. I have used them in the garden. These were found in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, not far from the Campbell Folk Art school. Extremely Rare 19th Century A.H. Reid 3 Tier Wood Creamer, Absolutey Beautiful!!
For your pleasure is this stunning New Hampshire estate find. You are bidding on this extremely rare circa. 1890's A.H. Reid Creamery and Dairy Suppliers of Philadelphia wood creamer/chiller in 100% complete and original as found condition. This is unlike any I have seen. I have seen similar creamers. But they did not have the complete inside cream making wood tiers and tin milk or cream chiller. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition with no problems whatsoever. A wonderful patina surrounds this piece taking you back to the 19th century no doubt. Look at this piece carefully. The advertising stencil on the front of the creamer is crisp and defined. This company did such a fine job of manufacturing this piece. It has all cast iron corner joints and fasteners to keep this piece solid and tough. And believe me it is still as strong ... moreas the day it was made. It even has custom A.H. Reid cast iron decorative handles on either side and a very solid cast iron latch on the front capable of locking.This company spared no expense in the making of this fine product of its time. Look further into the creamer itself. It still has the three wood tiers used to put ice to chill the milk and ingredients in the cream making process. The center tin cream chiller itself is 100% complete with original lid All wood pieces on the inside tiers are complete and nothing is missing. The inside construction is as solid as the outside. This box is large and heavy. It measures 18 inches in length. 16 inches in height and 14 inches in width. Additionally it weighs a great deal, approximately 35 pounds. The weight and structure is typical of quality 19th and early 20 century craftsmanship! I cannot say enough of about this awesome piece. This is an old primitive wooden bowl. I believe that it is called a dough bowl but I am not exactly sure. It is around 18 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 inches deep. It has a very neat style to it but I must tell you that it does have a crack which hopefully you can see in the pictures. Welcome to smitystrash, have an extremely rare Adolph meinecke, Milwaukee, childs carriage wrench, just a little history on him, he immigrated to the u.s. in 1844, came to Milwaukee in 1855, and opened a store for toys and fancy goods. In 1864, when importation of foreign goods was at a low ebb, owing to the high duty on most articles and the large discount on currency, Mr. Meinecke thought it a promising time to establish a factory in Milwaukee for children's carriages, baskets, toys and the like. But this was not all; he found it necessary, or at least advisable, to begin the cultivation of osier willow for use in the factory. For those of you who collect old coverlets. You will recognize that the pattern and the weaving on the mama cat denotes the age! She is made from an late 1800's coverlet as is her kitten. These were made for me in 1982 by a family friend(signed on back) who knew of my love for coverlets and shared these with me. The larger cat measures 14 inches and the kitten is 6-1/2. Each has their tail wrapped around to the front which makes their display so charming. I always found it darling that the mama has the"bird" in her tummy!

And the red fabric has a sort of berry pattern to it. This is very old- probably from the late 1800s or very early 1900s- and is all handmade and hand stitched. This appears to be a summer blanket, as it has very little batting and is quite thin(though not particularly thin) This measures 72" by 88" This is in good condition still. But please note that it is quite old. Some of the fabric- particularly the green fabric- is a little discolored and faded. Antique Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Jug C.W. Braun Buffalo, NY slip trailed
Up for bids we offer this 19th Century stoneware jug in excellent. Well preserved condition. Stamped near the top is"C.W. Braun, Buffalo, NY" along with a large number"2" all of which are glazed in cobalt blue. This piece dates roughly between 1850 and 1875 and has a cobalt slip-trailed decoration below the signature. The clay used to make this jug was rich in iron which is why there are patches of orange in multiple places including the underside. There are no cracks or chips on the spout, or bottom edges. The handle is in great shape too. There are a couple of small pings but no significant damage or any repairs. The cobalt decoration has significant detail and thick lines, perhaps intended as heavy shading. These very rare shoes were purchased from a closed out museum in the middle 90's. They have never been listed before this time. This set of shoes were never worn and given to a soldier stationed in Africa in 1943. They are made of leather and beautifully embroidered. The size of the shoes are 10 inches long. They were perfectly preserved in a bag from the elements all these years. Included is the original note attached to the bag from the soldiers wife. Antique Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Crock: J. Fisher, Lyons NY dragonfly
For your consideration. We offer this 3 gallon, 19th Century stoneware crock in very good, well preserved condition. Stamped near the top is"J. Fisher, Lyons, NY" along with a large number"3" which was hand applied in cobalt blue. This piece dates somewhere within the last quarter of 19th Century and has a cobalt slip-trailed dragonfly decoration below the signature. The clay used to make this jug was rich in iron which is why it has an earthy, orange coloring. There's very minor glaze wear around the inside of the opening rim along with a few flecks/tiny chips, the interior of the crock looks virtually mint. On the exterior, there's an old, thin, darkened hairline that's between 1/4" and 1/2" from the bottom and travels almost halfway around the crock. It's tight and doesn't appear to go ... moreall the way through to the interior walls. Also, there's a very faint line to the right of the dragonfly that you can barely make out in photo number 8. Again, we checked the interior with a bright light and don't see it. We do our best to disclose flaws and provide detailed information. All our items are returnable within two weeks, no reason needed anyway but these hairlines are not structural threats. There's no chips or chunks missing out of the bottom rim and no pits on the sides. As the pictures show, it's a handsome old crock that displays very well. Found just this week, this 3 gallon stoneware crock is a rare piece of Americana from Western New York State that we offer to the highest bidder without reserve! Good luck!
