Late 18th century Hand carved wooden peasant dolls Italian
Museum quality pair of doll figures of peasant ladies in all original 18th century clothing. The heads.Feet,legs and hands are carved from wood and painted in original old finish.These appear to be made all by hand by some local craftsman of the period because they are basically wood stuck to a wire frame. An interesting feature is that the inner lining of the dresses on both figures is made of old Italian news print or from an Italian book page. They both have old homespun clothing but have very fine silk and lace aprons that are definitely original. They stand on wood blocks that are lined with a silk fabric. They measure 81/2 inches tall. Antique Primitive Hammered Copper Jug Pot Dovetail Rivets Handled Footed Kitchen
Here is a nice old copper kettle/jug/pot that's been hammered and uses a dovetail styled joint to hold the upper and lower half together. Notice the handle which is fastened by rivets the old fashioned way. This piece dates around the mid 1800's and was found in the Southern Appalachian Mountians through an old farm estate sale. It's in good condition for its age and the bowl and handle is in great condition. The base/footing has some wear. Item has not been cleaned and we would rather leave that up to you as we don't want to take away the patina. Item measures approx. 6" tall to top of rim. 6 3/8" tall to top of handle, and 6 3/4" wide.

Possibly turn-of-the-century cast& wrought iron boot scraper. Looks like it was designed so that you can use wood slats to attach it really securely. When I first looked at it, I thought that it came from a covered wagon as a foot rest from days gone bye. It could also be mounted to the floor, It could still be in a good position to be a boot scraper that way. The rod has a really neat wrought iron design with a gorgeous natural ornate patina that really makes it-POP- Again. This is a HEAVY Piece Of course. Snotneus Whale Oil Lamp This lamp is about 8" tall These primitive lamps were used as a main source of lighting in the early part of the 18th and 19th centuries before kerosene and fuel oils became a more common commodity. My understanding is that the covered inner"cup" would be filled with oil. And a wick would come out the spout. The piece the spout sits in would collect any dripping oil, which would drip down into the base of the lamp. This lamp could stand on its own or be hung on a wall. This is what I've learned in researching this lamp) This was an estate sale find& I do not know it's exact history. I have not attempted any cleaning or repair. And have not attempted to use it.
