It's a nice yellow color with nicely detailed drawer pulls. The cabinet is a cute size and measures 16" W x 7.5" D" x 12" H and it weighs 7 lbs. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet or what kind of wood it is. We're not sure if it's the original paint as there are some lighter yellow drips on the back. It has some chips. Cracks, scratches, edge wear, and nicks as is expected for an item of this age. Some of the drawers have nicks and a little piece here and there missing from the corners of the drawers. The drawers have little pulls that are wood. The cabinet is measures 8" H x 5.5" W" x 2" D and it weighs 3 lbs. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet or what kind of wood it is. The face of the drawers are white and the cabinet is black. The drawer pulls are also black. The inside of the drawers are just natural wood and are in very good shape. It has some marks. Antique Painted wooden bowl treen primitive clay sculpture
Up for auction is this very early 1800s turned wooden bowl with original yellow-green paint. There is a wonderful 1870s diorama hard composition sculpture on the inside. The house has a overhanging front porch with steps leading to a bridge spanning a small stream. I don't know what the sculpture material is but you can't chip it or break it. It is like stone. the bowl measures 12 3/4" x 12" The bowl actually has a 3/4" difference from side to side from years of shrinkage. This is a very unusual piece in very good condition. For sale we have a set of 2 wood bread dough bowls. The large one measures 15 1/2 inches by 14 3/4 inches and 4 3/4 inches to 5 inches high. The smaller one is 13 inches by 12 1/4 inches and 3 1/4 inches to 3 3/4 inches high. These were hand made because as you can see by the measurements the height varies. They are both slightly oval and made of the same type of wood. It was hard to get the right color in the pictures. These are light in color with the smaller one being slightly darker. The small bowl is 1/2 inch thick and the large bowl a little over 1/2 inch thick. These are both unfinished wood. Perfect for bread making or for holding fruit. As you can see in the photos the side trim has pulled away from the board area– it is my guess this is from shrinkage as the wood has dried out over the years and. The wheel has 6 spokes all wood and all keyed in seperately those are not cracks in the pictures. That is where the spokes were keyed into the wheel. The wheel is 5 layeres as pictured. Listing new items from loooots of places this week- we went up to Antiques on the Bluff in beautiful St. Joseph Michigan as we always do this time of year, and I found some really unique oldees. I'm also still listing items from the Route 127 sale in Ohio, and the antique store auction- sososo many cool things- you'll want to keep checking! Oh boy. Is this one fabulous. I don't know what it was used for originally- was it a lamp base, or some type of utility base- like a water heater base? I don't care really, because it's a perfect pedestal to me, and you could make it your lamp base project too if you wanted to. You're not going to believe the weight of it when you pick it up- made of cast iron, it weighs an amazing 8 1/2 lbs! The ... morecolor is a deep mustard yellow and yuou can see that this is a very fancy piece- with upside down V shaped feet all around that each have their own indivitual designs- many look like tulip flowers. There's a row of smaller Vs at the very top rim facing up, and a hole in the center that measures 5 3/4" diameter. The piece stands 1 3/4" tall, is 7 5/8" diameter across the top on the inside of the raised Vs, 8 1/4" on the top on the outside of the Vs, and 10" across the bottom at the feet. It is in excellent SOLID and sturdy condition. You can see from the underside that it was once painted black, and there's very minor spots of surface rust where the metal is exposed. On the top, there's minor wear to the finish where you can see the black underneath- little peeks of it only. There's minor nicks and dings, pits and small chips to the iron- all part of the story, I wouldn't change a thing. It is gorgeous and will do your pretty proud! Please ask if you have any questions. A antique 19th century handled small wooden firkin which has its wonderful untouched nut brown patina. The firkin measures approximately 6 1/2" tall not including its handle and has diamond shaped bail plates along with its original wire and wood handle. The firkin has copper tacks on the lap fingers and wooden square pegs securing the round top to the sides of the lid. Condition- all original with great untouched patina. There is a small crack at the top edge of the lid which could be easily fixed and some general wear as shown but nothing to excess. ANTIQUE 1800s Large FIRKIN SUGAR BUCKET or PANTRY BOX a TRUE ORIGINAL 10'' tall
Description: First of all I love firkins of all types. Sizes and uses. I actually live in firkin country where some of the most prolific makers of these old wood buckets were located. I find them in all sizes and some that were made into other items or pieces of furniture that these companies like the C.L. Lane Company turned to when bucket sales started to decline in the 1960s. You are only bidding on the firkin being described. The other two pictures are just included to show the various sizes and uses of these great wood items. Here is a nice firkin that comes from the C.L. Lane Co. of Swanzey NH that came from a local barn sale. This example is in a larger size and has the more desirable three wooden finger bands. This piece has a wonderful glowing patina to it and is in superb vintage condition as you can see in my pictures. Please look ... moreat all my pictures to judge color and condition for yourself. There appears to have been a paper label on it at one time and there is an old nick to the lid and another one to the rim of the lid but do not detract from the evident age of this piece. I believe that this piece was made in the late 1800s. The firkin measures 10” tall to the top of the lid. 14" tall with the handle raised. The lid is 10" in diameter and the base diameter is about 10 1/2” Keep Coming back to see what the relicseeker has to offer. I travel all around New Hampshire. Vermont, and Northern Massachusetts scouting out places for hidden gems. Primitive Country Handmade Homespun Flower Arrangement
This is a homespun fabric flower arrangement handmade by me from my own copyrighted design. It measures approximately 12- 14" in height. The flowers are made from yellow. Brown, mustard, burgundy and tan homespun. The stems are wooden dowels covered with shades of green homespun. There are small prices of green fabric tied around the stems to represent leaves. The container is a tan crock with a rusty star on the front. At the base of the flowers is Spanish moss and burgundy and mustard pip berries. Tied around the top of the crock with jute twine is a Kraft tag that says live long. This would make a great addition to any room of your primitive country home. Large Antique Vintage Erzgebirge Lithographed Noah's Ark with 21 Large Animals
A large wooden Noah's Ark toy from the Erzgebirge region of Germany. This very large ark is covered in a very colorful lithographed surface. There is a lithographed picture of Noah and his family on one end and a cage of monkeys with several different birds on top on the other end. It has its original hinges on the roof and has the original surface to the roof and base. There is some rubbing and picture loss on the lithographed surface but the overwhelming majority of the lithographed surface is in good shape which is very good shape for its age. the second picture in this auction shows the three Noah's Arks that I have up for auction this week. You can see the size of this large ark when compared to the other two arks. The animals are all hand-carved and include a rhinoceros. Two sheep, two horses, four dogs, two birds WITH THEIR ... moreFEET, two antelope, two wild goats or deer, a bear, a pig and a few other'strange' animals. The people who carved and painted these wonderful animals usually never saw the actual animals that they were carving so most of these animals are fantasy animals that are to portray the actual animal, so there are some very interesting animals that come with these arks. The cow is missing one horn as seen in picture#9, one of the dogs is missing the tip of his tail as shown in picture#10 and there is a knot-hole with missing wood that is part of the bottom of the ark and it can be seen in pictures#11 and 12. This Noah's Ark comes with 21 LARGE(5" average height) animals and the ark is a LARGE 19" long x 8" tall x 5" wide. Old Early Primitive Miniature 3 1/4" Splint Oak Buttock Basket Blue Stripes
This is a recent purchase from a local estate. A wonderful miniature split oak buttock basket 3 1/4" This is an early 20th century piece. This piece was purchased over 80 years ago from a woman's estate in Manitou Springs. Colorado. This sweet little basket is 3 1/4" in width, 3" in height and 3 1/4" across. The center opening is approx. 2 3/4" It has 14 ribs, 1/16" split wood and 5/16" wide handle. It has 2 blue 1/2" stripes one on each side. It is in great structural condition with a beautiful patina. There are a couple broken splits, see all photos. It's a wonderful example and would make a great addition to any collection. Over all in very good condition for it's age. Antique Porcelain Chamber Pot Chelsea PB&S R 2665
I know next to nothing about porcelain and even less about chamber pots so please ask any questions. I'll describe the item as best I can. The bowl is about 8 1/2" wide by 5 1/4" high without the cover. The bowl with the drain in the center is about 10" wide by 2" high. There is no cracks or big chips in any of the 3 different pieces. There is one tiny chip in the paintabout the size of a pinhead on the rim of the bowl. It could be a factory flaw. You really have to look hard to find it and it could easily be fixed with a spot of paint. The words"Chelsea PB&S R 2665 and the number 5 are on the bottom of the bowl. $15 flat rate shipping.
