Buffet Professional (1972) Vintage R13 Bb Wooden Clarinet - Chedeville Blank Mp.
Matching serial numbers 132035 indicating a 1972 manufacture. Clarinet is nicely restored and the R13 speaks for itself. Wood is good with no cracks except for the bell. While taking pictures. I noticed there was a crack in the bell. It is very tight, even hard to notice, and there is no leaking. In addition, the bell is from an E11 Buffet Clarinet- the mouthpiece, barrel,upper and lower joints are R13. There is some wear to the plating here and there. Clarinet was dismantled, all dirt and grime flushed out. The wood was oiled with almond oil. The instrument was given all new double bladder pads- most by me, and some just before I received the instrument. The tenons are good. Corking and spring action is good, and the clarinet plays with that beautiful buffet sound up and down. The mouthpiece is a Buffet Chedeville blank, and an additional ... moreone with the markings H4C. There is also an additional tuning barrel besides the R13 barrel. It has 2 wide parts towards one end; they measure 3 1/4" in diameter. I don't know what this item was used for-my best guess is that it was used for some kind of yarn/wool spinning but I'm not sure on that. Anyway, this item is all wood; the two wider pieces are on one half and the other half ends in a long, narrow rod. Item is in good USED& ANTIQUE condition; there are a few tiny wood splits on each of the wider, round spots. Don't know if this makes sense so please look at all of my pictures to see all details! Here is an antique number puzzle in its original box. It is called The Rattler Puzzler. It is made of small wooden beveled blocks. On the bottom of the box cover it says SENT TO ANY ADDRESS FOR 35 CENTS. There is no date. The directions are also printed on the cover. It says simply" Place the B locks in its B ox irregularly. The dimensions are: 16"L x 4 1/2"H x 4 3/8"W: This truck is in good conditon(see photos) The paint is good with minor loss due to age but no flaking. Wheels are great. No gouges. Decals(Buddy L Wood toys) are good. The ladder has the top 4- 5 inches broken off. Some minor scratches. This old boy has some play wear but for it's 65+yrs- it's in great shape.
