Primitive Handmade Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Make-Do/Painted Wood Cutting Board
~Welcome to my auction.thank you for viewing my prim offering~ This listing is for a"spooky" Halloween jack-o-lantern make-do that has been created by me for your primitive decorating! The make-do can be hung anywhere.on the front of a cupboard door or from a peg on a shelf.by the fabric loop at the top. The jack-o-lantern is made out of hand dyed orange wool with a layer of cotton quilt batting inside. The wool background pieces of the button eyes and the nose have been hand stitched in place. The mouth is a twig that has been hand stitched in place and the jack-o-lantern has a real twig for a stem. I stained the jack-o-lantern with my coffee/vanilla mixture and stiffened it to hold its shape. I then added a green homespun ticking tie to the stem. I have attached the jack-o-lantern to an old wood cutting board that I painted black. ... moreI sanded and stained the board.after painting.for an aged and prim appearance. I placed stems of Sweet Annie and pip berries behind the jack-o-lantern. I added a prim tag with the word"BOO! stamped on it. Overall. Primitive Hand Hewn Printing Wood Block w Hearts ~ Antique Textile Stencil Stamp
Here we have a really wonderful primitive woodblock printing stencil or press with a heart motif. This woodblock has a super time aged patina. Remnants of red paint on the sides and square nail construction. It is all hand hewn& handmade from two pieces of heavy hardwood. This stencil or press has wonderful evidence of wear and use marks on the back. The main motif is that of two large flowing hearts and they are flanked by many smaller hearts. There is a hand hewn impression on both the top and bottom for use as a handle or grip. It has a painted block number on the side of"31344" and a red"B" on the opposite side. There a few bent tines within the smaller heart designs that can most likely be straightened. On the top is a very small wood lift and a tiny chip that are only noticeable under through examination. There ... moreis a later bent eye hook positioned towards the top for hanging. This piece has an amazing patina and measures 9" long. About 3 1/4" wide, 2 1/4" deep and weighs 1 pounds 12 ounces. They are in great condition for their age but do show a few marks from the rope and overall use. The rubber on the boots are in excellent shape. They do not have any cracking or tears. They have adjustable bindings on each ski. The second ski has a crack at one of the attachments screws seen in the last pic. These are 70" and probably could be used. Set of five DiDWare solid american walnut wooden salad serving bowls. Manufactured by Diversified Industries Division. Independent Stave Co, in Lebanon, Mo. Each bowl has its original label and model number. They are in excellent condition, 1 or 2 having a tiny dent(i wouldn't call them nicks) around the edges. Only one of the five looks to have any wear from use, the other four look unused. Each bowl measures 5 1/4 inches from edge to edge and 2 1/4 inches deep.

Pat'd Feb 26 07" The numbers 2969 and `1688 are also embossed on the cast iron material. HEAVY. I'm assuming the date of manufacture is 1907. Or possibly 1807. I may end up clipping the point of the wood to make it straight across to help it fit into a box and not be so pointy for shipping. Did I mention that this is quite HEAVY.
