For your consideration. A gorgeous deep blue Viking hand made mushroom that is approx. 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 tall. It is not smaller than those measurements, and if it's bigger, it's not by much. We've had it for a while and always took care of it. I cannot find a blemish on it and any odd element in the pics is a reflection from our outdoor lights. The original"Viking" sticker is still on it as you can see from the photos. I've no idea when it was made, but I do believe it's fairly old. Anyway, what you see is what you get. New Martinsville Glass Manufacturing Company became known as Viking Glass Company in 1944 when G. R. Cummings bought all the stock and changed the name to capitalize on the growing popularity of Scandinavian glassware styles. Viking ceased operations in 1986 after having 42 additional years of producing glassware. This PAIR was manufactured in the 1949-1970 time period. Under the Scandinavian influence. The Janice line included the#952 Flame style. This sturdy, but simply elegant, 2 lite candlestick ... morehas the Sterling Silver overlay that is also simple in its application. The base has a 1/2 inch band of silver and the top of each candle holder has a band of silver. Silver City Glass Company applied much of the Sterling Silver overlay for the major glass companies of the time period, including Viking. While this pair is classified as used. We can find no imperfections on them. The silver shines brightly, but on one there is minor wear to the silver. There are no chips, nicks, hairlines, or repairs to these stunning Flame candlesticks. The guitar stays in tune, unless you really start dive bombing the bigsby like a floyd tremolo, which you shouldn't be doing on this guitar anyway! Vintage Viking Ship Norge 830 Silver Open Salt Cellar Dish Norwegian
Up for bids is a vintage open salt cellar. It is in the design of a Viking ship and says Norge in the bottom. It is made and marked 830 silver making it an alloy of 83% silver. It is very delicate with a lot of details. Overall it is in fair/good shape. There are no breaks but the bottom rim does have a small dent. At some point I'm guessing it had an insert that must have got lost or broke. Therefore there is some salt corrosion on the inside. I read it could be removed with ammonia but I'm unfamiliar with the process so I'll leave it up to the buyer. It's just over 3 1/2" at its widest point and just over 1 5/8" at its tallest. The dimensions of the actual dish is about 2 1/4"x1 1/8" and about 5/8" deep. It weighs 12-13 grams. Overall. With a little polish and care, this would look great in anyone's ... morecollection. Up for auction is this pair of Viking steel/metal file drawer storage bins with 2 large drawers that measure approx. 11 3/4' high 17 1/4' wide and 18 3/4' deep.There are 3 smaller drawers on each cabinet that measure approx. 2 3/4' high and 5 3/4' wide and again 18 3/4' deep. There are 3 more drawers on each cabinet that measure approx.4 3/4' high and again 5 3/4' wide. There are only a couple of drawer dividers. There is some rust and pitting see 1st and 3rd photos.They are very heavy and sturdy. I found this cool pouch in with a huge box of stuff I bought at an estate sale. I will do my best to describe it. The main body of the bag is of a thick leather that is suede like. But stiff, probably pig skin, the applique is sewn on and is leather too, very thin, lots of hand work went into this decoration. the silver tone studs are all secure. Lift the flap and there is another decoration with a large stud center. On the back is a burned in signature"Alys" not sure of what that means but you can see it in the last image. It appears to ever have been used. But the inside is clean and unmarred, the bag smells like leather and nothing else, the belt loop strap shows very light sighs of ... morewear. The bag is solid, no tears, or worn through areas. there are some surface discolorings, but they appear to be natural.
