Viking #10 series 3-footed Lemon plate - Crystal w/ silver overlay.
This piece started as a crystal three toed lemon plate(1010) made by Viking Glass of West Virginia. The silver overlay decoration was done by Silver City Glass in their"Flanders" pattern(also called“Flanders Poppy” This pattern is most notably seen as a background for Anniversary and Birthday commemoratives. This gorgeous plate was made without any of these celebratory banners making it a unique collectible. It has sterling outlines of leaves and poppy flowers and buds as well as silver overlay on the scalloped edges. The glass blank is dated circa 1950's. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs to the glass. There is no missing pattern to the silver and no black tarnish. It shines wonderfully and is appropriate for a gift. I do not profess to be an expert on Glass. You are bidding on a used battery operated toy motor boat made by FLEET LINE titled"THE VIKING" 815. This all plastic motor boat is in very good shape. And is in the original box.The outboard motor is not included.There are some light scratches on the hull and the transom The battery contacts are very clean. Most detail pieces are missing. The overall length of the boat is 9-3/8" and the width is 3-3/4" This boat is good to restore. The original box is in good shape. But it is not perfect. The vintage carbon steel stamped head is in excellent condition with no defects and has been cleaned. Treated, custom shaped by myself to my own design and all polished to show off the patina. Then the bit is polished and given a wicked edge sharper than a Fox dipped in Lemon. The ergonomically designed handle is custom made from Seasoned stock Ash with a straight end grain. Naturally coloured, treated with Teak Oil and Beeswax for a superior grip and shine then fixed with a wooden and Steel wedge. It won't slip out of your hand. The sheath is custom made from thick full grain Tooling Hide. Fixed with black rivets and gunmetal popper, coloured and treated to aid waterproofing. Can be looped onto a belt. Here is a nice( Hard To Get) Ritter Steel War Sword up for your consideration. I'm the original owner and for the most part I've had it hanging on the wall since I got it. Also have kept it oiled as well. I did hack a couple of water filled milk jugs with it that put a few light scratches on the blade but they could be polished out with a little effort. Other than that the sword is in excellent condition. Comes with basically a brand new heavy duty leather scabbard that the sword has been in once or twice. All in all a very nice sword to own or add to your collection. Most sellers of these swords are usually sold out and it took me a good while to obtain this one.
