Viking Glass Epic Three Foil Swung 26+" Floor Vase TEABERRY Mid Century Modern I just purchased this vintage Viking Glass floor vase from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The vase was produced by the New Martinsville. West Virginia company as part of their"Epic" line introduced in 1956. The"Three Foil Swung Vase" has a striking modern design with clean geometric lines to the triangular footed base, tapering/ flaring walls and dramatic triple spires. The piece is done in the very desirable and unique"Teaberry" shade which was a new color in 1961. The vase has a strong presence measuring 26 ½" high, 5 ½" wide at the base and across the top arms. Vintage 1960s Mid Century Modern Viking Art Glass Ruby Red Amboina Edge Vase
This very beautiful red ruby bud vase was produced in the 1970s by Viking Art Glass. The simple sleek space-age roll out saucer rim is characteristic of the styling of the Eames era minimalism. The vase is smooth. But in the light it is visually decorated by with a subtle ribbed appearance, and with an slight Amboina hue, which is characteristic of hand blown Viking Art Glass pieces. It is in very good vintage condition with the exception of small natural appearing bubbles and a small flaw at the shoulder(see photos) The vase is approximately 4 ½” high; 2 ½” across the rolled out saucer top; and 3 ¼” across the broad shoulder of the bottom(see photos) Please keep in mind this is a vintage item. Not a new item. I try to describe items as accurately as possible, but cannot always detail each flaw. Crazing and manufacturing flaws ... moresuch as pin heads, color variations, straw marks, bubbles, inclusions, and other manufacturing anomalies are considered normal for glass, china, and pottery of age.
