Hello. I will preface this description with a disclaimer of my LIMITED knowledge on HAM radio products. I will do my best to research and accurately describe my item. If there is anything incorrect in my description, please feel free to alert me. Also feel free to request more pictures. Now for the item! This is a vintage Viking Ranger transmitter. Taken from my grandfathers most recent radio setup, so I would assume(but cannot guarantee) it works. When powered up it turns on and all knobs seem to turn and function as they should. The only reason it is"AS-IS" is to ensure my safety in selling the item just in case it needs a part or some service. I've made no attempt to disassemble or clean the item other than with a DRY rag to be absolutely safe. I would hate to damage it in any way so I took the safe route. My grandpa loved ... morethis stuff and took great care of it, so I hope it goes to someone who will show the item the same care and respect he did. With a little TLC, This thing would look GREAT! I would prefer a local pickup and can travel within an hour of central PA. However, I can ship UPS and will charge EXACTLY what it costs me to ship. Salesman's sample or promotional piece. A 1955 Viking"C" sprinkler head with an unusual? spray director. Chromed and mounted on a weighted base with green felt on the bottom. Very good condition. Sat around on a desk or stored for the past 50-odd years. The chrome is near perfect, I should have polished it better for the pictures. That's a smudge on the base in the picture that wiped off, there are no faults in the chrome other than microscopic scratches. Anyone into fire memorabilia needs this on their desk. Great gift idea.
