This is a genuinely old tsuba and not a copy or reproduction. It is made of iron and the motif is a lobster. The lobster's eye appears to be a tiny dot of gold and there are some little gold lines on the countours of the lobster's tail. Nice patina on the iron surface. Not signed. Please see photos. Tsuba/scabbard is wood, has cracks(as can be seen in picture) but is solid and mounts well. Handle is slightly loose, wrap appears to be pretty decent, I've seen them alot worse. Does not appear to have had anything replaced on it. Flash in the pictures makes the blade appear brighter than it is. Very sharp. Little to no knicks on blade.
