Antique Goyard Courier Trunk This is an antique Goyard courier trunk with all the original interior trays. It is fresh out of a nice local estate and in good. Untouched condition. The trunk measures 44" wide, 22" tall and 23" deep. It has all the original brass hardware and Goyardine fabric. The trunk is offered AS FOUND with a few minor issues. There are a couple of small tears(see photos) and the leather covering the metal band around the bottom edge of the lid has some losses. Refinished Old Trunk - Unusual Size
I am relisting this beauty as the buyer did not follow through with purchasing this trunk. Up for auction today we have an unusual sized refinished trunk. Dating to the late 1800’s. It is rectangular in shape and measures 23 x 9.5 x 13.5 and is about 5 pounds. My 85 year old mother did an amazing job lining the inside with quilted floral fabric. It gives it that“POP” ready to store your bank statements. Photographs, special treasures, etc. Incredibly clean. There was a handle on the top that I removed as it was dried and rotted. Front hinges are nice and in good condition. Just the old lock plate remains. Originally canvas covered the canvas was removed to display and highlight the nice wood underneath. Sanded smooth and treated with Early American Stain. Then a couple coats of Satin Poly- this trunk is a looker. Metal hardware has not been ... morerepainted and is in great condition. This is an old antique trunk/dresser with drawers. Drawers and latches still have nice brass luster. The outer part of case is a little smudged in areas but could be restored very nicely. Antique Travel Trunk with Single Tray and Silk Lining - Early 1900's
Up for bidding is this Antique Travel Trunk with Single Tray. A s ilk lined interior and i t's smaller size are clues to suggest this was possibly a rumble trunk for overnight or weekend usage. A heavy duty b lack c oated canvas covers the case and serves as the hinge for the trunk. Piece is in very good condition showing some age on the leather seams. Stitching and some unglued canvas in spots. Top tray is made of a wooden frame with the striped silk fabric stretched and glued tightly over the frame. Silk is in fair condition with small rips indicating a delicate nature to the fabric. The interior is fully lined and was also glued along the hinge line. Staining is moderate and sort of expected for the age of this piece. Left lid corner is separated from broken stitching. Lock does not seem to work. This Antique Wooden Chest or Trunk is nicely detailed. With wooden slats, a dovetailed appearance on the ends, and black accent designs. The outside has a lacquered finish and the interior has a purple silk lining, which remains in good condition! A clever push-button on the front opens the box. As seen in the enlarged photos, there are some rubs to parts of the trim, and three of the tacks are missing, on the bottom. This, of course, is not seen when the piece is displayed. Today's listing is for this lovely old Jenny Lind doll trunk from my personal trunk collection. I really don't know the exact age but would say late 1800's or early 1900's It is made of wood with metal strappings on cover with brass knobs. Has both leather handles. They may have been replaced at one time. But was this way when I purchased it. No restoration. Brass latch is not complete. No key. Inside has extra drawer that lifts out. Interior has staining and some tears. Great to display your antique doll or chinaheads with clothing. Excellent condition on exterior. Wear is to be expected on the inside because of it's age. Wonderful antique wardrobe trunk found at an auction. The trunk has the manufacters name plate P Becker& Co. Makers Chicago. I could not find much history on this just that around 1930 they went from making trunks and suitecases to table tennis. Anyway this trunk is very heavy. It is in pretty good condition. It does need some cleaning up which was going to be my project but I need to find my garage before winter. The trunk is 43" tall and 21x24" on top. It opens sideways. Louis Vuitton Rare Small Steamer Wardrobe Trunk Painted Stripes 1900's Here is an antique wardrobe trunk. Smaller then most which I assume means more rare. This wardrobe is 13" high, 22" deep. And 40.5" long. There is some tarnishing of the tacks, and discoloration of the leather strip around a few tacks on the base only. We assume it was stored standing up on the base. It definitely has some slight mildew on the lower two drawers and the interior has a musty odor. From our research. It looks as though all the small parts and pieces are there. There is some slight pitting on the top metal hanging hardware. Inside three of the drawers are somebody's initials as seen in photos. This nice tool chest was obviously hand made to hold an individual's personal tools. The chest is hinged with no latch and there are nice handles at either end. The lid is held perpendicular by a chain when it is opened. The chest measures 26" L x 11.5" W x 10"T. The toolbox is divided into several different compartments inside. The main compartment measures 21 3/4" L x 7 1/8" W x 7"D. With 1.5" of headroom beneath the lid. Up for sale is this vintage or antique early 20th century humpback trunk. The front. Back and top have metal panels with a reptile skin texture. The side metal panels are smooth with a blue tint. The humpback top has wood banding. There is metal banding on the edges. It has metal one directional wheels on the bottom. There is extensive patina on the metal and wear on the wood finish. Part of the metal lid strip is missing on the front corner, and the leather handles are missing. It has 2 broken hinges and the inside shows use wear as in soiling, filth, staining. The lid on the insert is detached but is included with the trunk. It has a strong smell of moth balls. The lock does not latch and we do not have the key. However, the other 2 latches do function. VINTAGE PIRATE ANTIQUE STEAMER WOOD EMBOSSED TIN TRUNK! RARE BLUE!!
This auction is for a very beautiful vintage dome top Steamer Pirate trunk. It has a very pretty pressed tin design(blue) mixed in with the oak wooden strips. It really makes a very pretty display piece It would look great in any area! It is a useable trunk. Both of the old leather side handles are attached still! The large front center hinge lock works fine but I do not have a key for this trunk. Both of the side front locks work well. There are no interior drawers. The interior shows it's age but would be great for storage. It measures as follows. It is 35 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 21 inches tall. ANTIQUE JAPANESE TURNED&CARVED WOOD JAPANESE BOX - TREE TRUNK WITH BARK USED
Still bearing a portion of an early gum sticker. The early turned and carved/engraved wood box appears to have been done from a tree branch or trunk. The outter rim of the box has the very thin bark. The lid was carved or engraved with Mt Fuji, a cottage, tree and a sailboat. Very unusual early piece of Japanese folk art. CONDITION: Very good although you need to know there are some slivers of bark missing from the outter rim of the box. There is also some wear of the finish. For sale is a beautiful lusterware vase. The vase is shaped like a tree trunk with a gold squirrel on the stump branch. It is iridescent ivory with gold designs. Vintage Industrial Wood Trunk Crate Case Foot Locker Blanket Chest Toy Box
This wood crate has a nice warm finish and interesting hinges. A latch has been removed from the lid. And there are two handles, one on the end and one below where the latch was. The cabinet has an interior lining that is like corrugated cardboard. The trunk measures 31" L x 19" W x 13" T. The interior measures 28.5" L x 15.5" W x 9 3/4" T with a 1" of additional height inside the lid. This is a nice sized trunk that would work great for storing items, stood on end for a display, or as a low end table. It can be stood on end easily due to the lack of the handle on one end. This unique item is a vintage wicker storage basket. Dating back to probably before the mid century. The wicker basket itself is assumed that old. No one knows if it was built as a house or if that was done later. However, this is not just someone's craft project. The house has been around for at least decades, but could have been built that way in the first place- just am unable to get that verified, as a fact. It measures approximately, a little over 22" high x almost 13" wide x almost 11"deep. Not sure what it was originally intended for, but nowadays, it can be used as a laundry hamper, a trash can after a plastic bag is placed inside, general storage, or just as decor. While it is in pretty good condition for how old it is, there are breaks in the wicker and missing paint. Also, some dust. One window that I know of, ... morehas been glued back on.
