Two of these are marked"Made in Japan" so I'm guessing these may all be Japanese. All are hand painted lacquer on tin cans and some have mother-of-pearl(MOP) fragments incorporated into the designs. You are bidding on the entire lot of four tea tins. I'm guessing these date to the 40's or around WWII. Overall Condition: Please note. These are vintage and show it. All have some typical scuffs, paint rubs and show age. The lacquer designs are darkened from age. I believe the red and orange colors in particular have darkened with age and look more reddish-brown now. The photos show designs slightly brighter than they are in real life, at least to my eyes) I've ... moretaken one photo in natural lighting to try and get a more accurate depiction of condition. The slide off lids are quite tight fitting but work well and two of the tins also have an inner lid as well with a small knob. These tins have apparently been kept quite dry over the years as there is no rust on these. But there is some typical discoloration to the metal. It is in excellent condition. The natsume is 2 3/4”H x 2 5/8”W andcomes with a wooden box. There is a piece of paper inside the box that is printed. Not hand written. I cannot read all the Japanese but I did decipher that this is a(Urasenke) Gengensai konomi(joint project with 7th generation Sotetsu) Therefore, I am assuming that this is not an original but an utsushi(copy) I am unsure of the original maker. Early Hector Aguilar 940 Silver Taxco Tea Caddy Scoop Sugar Spoon Mexico NR
Wonderful early piece of Taxco silver made by Hector Aguilar. Most likely made in the early 1940's. Signed on the back"taxco HA 940" 940 silver contains 94% solid silver while sterling silver only contains 92.5% 940 is a higher grade silver then sterling silver. I have seen other people describe this as a tea caddy scoop but it would make also make a great coffee or sugar scoop. Beautiful craftsmanship you can even see the hammer marks on the front of the bowl. There is tarnish consistent with age, I did not polish this. Measures 4 1/8" inch long x 1 1/8' inch wide. This will be shipped first class with signature confirmation. Great piece of collectible Taxco Mexican silver from a fabulous artist. 1452 Rare Original French Antique Pewter Tea Caddy fron 1875 International Paris Tea Canniater Casket. All this is on the stamp on the top. I saw this same type item on another site and they wanted $1495. This one is of the same great condition as that one. For its age it is gently scuffed and a small ding on one side that you pretty much need to run your hand over it to notice it. On the bottom it has a LXC and the x has a bee type figure over it. This must be the makers hallmark but I can't find that information. It is about 6 or 6 1/2 inches tall. About 5 1/2 inches across the bottom and 1 1/2 across the top. It weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces. Superb Antique Indian Solid Silver Raised High Relief Decorated Tea Box or Tea Caddy circa 1890 This Antique Tea Box or Caddy measures approximately 3 1/2 inches or 89 mm across the width or diameter of its lid from side to side and it stands just over 3 1/2 inches or 90 mm tall to the top of its lid. The tea box or caddy is hand made from 144.3 grams of solid silver in a circular shape with a push fitting lid. The sides of the body have been wonderfully hand embossed or high raised relief and engrave decorated with shaped panels that each has a different garden or country scenes of Indian figures that are within decorative outer borders and the top of the lid has a larger woodland scene of Indian figures with deer that is also within a decorative outer border, the lid rim overhangs the body for ease of opening and the tea box or caddy has ... moreNot been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below, I have been unable to find any silver marks as is very typical with these antique Indian silver items however the tea box or caddy has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from a high grade sterling or solid silver, I estimate that this antique tea box or caddy was made circa 1880- 1900. The condition is used and Excellent for its age. The tea box or caddy has No Dents. No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I can find, the box stands straight, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the lid opens with relative ease and it closes very tightly although as the tea box or caddy is a used antique it does have some small holes around the sides of some of the high relief decoration that were caused during its manufacture and it has the obvious signs that it was hand made, it has some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use along with the patina of age that is to be expected and as it's in the totally original condition that it was found a good clean would enhance it greatly. This is a very rare Dutch silver tea caddy. The caddy is of urn shape with a pull off domed lid with ball finial and chased leaves above straight sides with two bands of twisted rope. The body of the caddy has a band of fluting to the top of the neck above chased leaves and garlands against a textured background. There are hanging flowers suspended between the garlands. The caddy stands on a spreading round fluted base. The tea caddy has a scroll handle. The caddy is 4 inches/ 101 mm wide to the. Back of the handle and about 2-3/4 inches/ 70 mm in diametre. A George III shovel shaped silver caddy spoon with a wooden handle. Hallmarked Birmingham 1802. The hallmarks comprise the maker's mark C&B(Cocks& Betteridge) The anchor for Birmingham, the lion passant for sterling silver, the King's head duty mark and the letter e for 1802. The overall length is 5 1/4 inches(13.3 cm) and the weight is 7.0 grams. This is an unusual caddy spoon in a classic shape which has survived for over two centuries without mishap.

This container features a deep green glass with dragons in the clouds silver overlay. A bamboo like handle loops over the top and a small notch is cut out for the spoon to rest. Spoon is stamped. There are no cracks in the glass, the silver still shines, it appears as if someone was polishing this piece and did not do a great job so it does have some residue here and there and could use a cleaning. Overall the jar looks really awesome!
