This is a Vintage Antique Hand Woven TAPESTRY that appears to be handwoven. It measures approximately 18x36" I know little about this as it came from an estate. I do think this dates back to about the 1920's or 1930's. But I cannot be sure.

EXHIBITION COLONIALE PARIS FRANCE WALL HANGING MURAL WOVEN TAPESTRY 1931 SCARCE You are bidding on a wonderful original piece of Memorabilia. It is a wonderful Woven Tapestry Wall Hanging. From the Exposition Coloniale Paris 1931. Wonderful Geometric design with central Lion Design above a banner that states Exposition Coloniale 1931. With what appears to be the Angkor Wat repeated in the corners, along with various industrious Ethnic figures, and floral motifs. Muted Colours but still rather eye catching. I can not imagine that many of these have survived. Dimensions approx. 132cm x 132cm Condition Please view the photograph gallery for a visual of the condition. Clean condition with the wear that is consistent of an Antique fabric piece. I can not be sure whether it has faded in places or whether it is the design(please view the photograph ... moregallery) There are some pulls and surface marks throughout. Nothing that is to heavy. A couple of places where it has thinned and day light can be just seen through only just, the worst effected area is on the Lions back and surrounding area. On the whole it seems to be consistently sturdy and tightly woven and surviving rather well. It looks to be consistently clean throughout with only a couple of light makrs in places. The fringing has worn and is sporadically missing and inconsistent, there is a small area of about 12cm where the fringing has come away and it has started to fray, upto the border, Ther is some loss to the fringing. I am sure that this could be easily sorted out. On the whole this is certainly a scarce piece that has survived with wear consistent to its years, it still remains in collectable and clean condition. Please note I have tried to be as detailed with the description as possible, all flaws have been mentioned to the best of my understanding. Happy Bidding. I just love the detail and shading in the flowers. The needlepoint area measures approx. 14” x 15” The colors are rust, burgundy, light blue, medium blue, olive green, celadon, gold and more on a black background. CHARMING& ELEGANT 19TH C NEEDLEPOINT TAPESTRY PILLOW ~ ANIMALS You are looking at a gorgeous 19th century French needlepoint tapestry turned into a 21st century pillow. This is my favorite theme ~ animals. This depicts a bird in a tree looking on the ground at a dog. The bird and the dog are done in petit point while the rest is done in needlepoint. The colors are gold. Olive green, forest green, brown, deep red, rust and more. The needlepoint area measures 16” x 19” The needlepoint is in excellent condition with one teeny tiny repair where the wing and the body of the bird meet. It looks like it was stitched over. It is hardly noticeable and someone had to point it out to me. Around the needlepoint there is the most spectacular trim. It is a green and gold pom-pom with a green and gold bow. A round red glass bead and a green glass tear ... moredrop bead. It has an elegant scalloped header. It is on gold silk. The pillow is finished off with a green and gold tassel trim. The back is done in a green, gold and deep red stripe silk. All these elements combined make for a very unique and drop dead gorgeous pillow. The trim around the needlepoint as well as the stripe silk back incorporate all the colors in the needlepoint. This could be one of my all time favorite pillows. The pillow measures approx. 22” x 23” There is a zipper closure for your convenience and a down and feather insert for a plush look and feel. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability. This is a one-of-a-kind hand stitched and lovingly made piece of art and history. It is in newly created condition combining both old and new. Old is the needlepoint while everything else is new. One of two listed this evening. These two cushions are the last from this original tapestry border. This is recovered from an Aubusson tapestry border and consists of tulips and other flowers within a banded border. There are old repairs and slits created in the weaving process at colour changes. Overall the tapestry is good. Clean and strong and the colours vibrant. Later antique French trim to the vertical sides of the panel. SPECTACULAR ANTIQUE 19TH C FRENCH AUBUSSON TAPESTRY PILLOW~ANIMAL Presented before you is a spectacular one-of-a-kind authentic antique(19th century. Not a Chinese knockoff) Aubusson tapestry transformed into a jaw dropping unique 21st century pillow. The Aubusson depicts a pastoral scene which features a wolf and another animal(if you recognize it feel free to let me know because I haven’t a clue) The colors are beige. Pale golds, browns, pink, gray, green and more. The Aubusson area measures approx. 19” x 20” and is in very good condition. No holes or separations just a little fading which of course you would expect since it is over 120 years old. Around the Aubusson I used a pale green. Beige and rusty coral tassel and crystal trim. I love this trim. It gives the pillow a bit of dazzle and glamour. The fabric that I used on the front is ... morea very pale gold jacquard with a leaf pattern but it’s all done in the same color so it’s very subtle. I finished the pillow off with a deeper coral, green and beige tassel trim with a beautifully detailed header. The back of the pillow is done in a pale pastel jacquard brocade. The pillow measures 24” x 24” There is a zipper closure for your convenience and a down and feather insert for a plush look and feel. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability. This pillow was made to be an heirloom. It will last for many generations. Not only is it a unique work of art. It is also a piece of French history. This pillow is one of my all time favorites. It’s just too beautiful and romantic for words. The colors are soft but the trim gives it a special sparkle that’s hard to put into words. The combination of Aubusson. Victorian piano stool, original tapestry seat, wood and cast iron foot stool
This is a wood and cast iron Victorian piano stool but could also be used as a foot stool. This is a Victorian original probably made sometime in the late 1800's. The base is made of solid wood with a dark stain and the seat is upholstered with either the ORIGINAL tapestry or a replacement from very near the same time period. The tapestry is that of an urn with flowers in it. And both the tapestry and the fringe are in great, usable shape. Such an old historic fabric in such good shape, is rarer than the stool itself. There is a small part of the cast iron base plate that is missing but it does not affect the stability or function of the stool. The seat is stable and spins freely. As it should. Chicago and New York" is printed on the iron plate but I can find no makers name or patent date. It weighs 17 pounds so shipping weight will ... morebe right around 20.

Not sure if it's velvet. Crushed velvet or what the fabric is. Could be wool and velvet blend. The Back is lined with blue denim. Excellent Condition.some fold marks that would come out if professionally cleaned and/or pressed. Overall the piece is in great condition and is very special. No holes. No gapes in design. TAPESTRY FABRIC bought from an antique shop in Venice. Italy in the 1960’s. I always planned to use it to cover a cornice for a window. But never did. It has been carefully stored over the years in a smoke-free. Pet-free home. The tapestry fabric is circa 1950’s- 1960’s and is in good condition. Probably machine made– no threads showing through the back. SEE PHOTO OF BACK. Measurements of the fabric is 3 ½ yards(about 126 inches) long and 17 inches wide. Beige background with soft muted tones of green. Gold, and rose. Bottom edge is trimmed with gold tone tassels on a long fringe-type piece. One side end is stitched– like a selvage edge. Along the top is the same stitching. And one side end has been scissors-cut. A few minor flaws– a spot or two– very small and shown in my pictures. The needlepoint is from the late 19th century to early 20th century. It features two puppies that I think are Saint Bernards. The needlepoint is in excellent condition with no holes. Smells, or missing stitches. The colors are brown, green, white, and more on a black background. The needlepoint area measures approx. 20" x 11" Around the needlepoint there is a double green and brown scalloped trim. It is on a goldish/greenish silk. The pillow is finished with a green and brown tassel and beaded trim. The back is done in green strie velvet. CHARMING 18TH c FRENCH NEEDLEPOINT TAPESTRY PILLOW~ANIMALS You are looking at a one of a kind 18th century needlepoint tapestry depicting pre historic animals. The left looks like some sort of dragon and the right is my guess is as good as yours(possibly the first dog or an alligator? I really love this needlepoint. It’s very unique and very old. It’s silk and wool and it’s in great condition for its age. There are a few stitches missing but you need a magnifying glass to find them. The needlepoint measures approx. 7” x 9” The colors are still vibrant. They are; blue, black, cream, green, burgundy, brown and more. It is embellished with an early 19th century metallic vestment trim. It is on burgundy cotton velvet which is on the front as well as the back. I finished the pillow off with two different trims. One is a multi color(green. Blue, ... moreburgundy and cream) bullion trim and on top is a green, burgundy, cream and blue tassel trim with a stunning header. This rare needlepoint pillow measures approx. 15” x 15” There is a zipper closure for your convenience and a down and feather insert for a plush look and feel. The needlepoint comes from France and is in excellent condition. I see no holes or missing stitches. It depicts a man and woman that appear to be dancing. The man and woman are done completely in petit point including their clothing. The background is done in needlepoint. The colors are; burgundy. Forest green, gray, beige, gold, black, yellow, red, rust and more. The needlepoint area measures 17” x 17” Around the needlepoint I used a muliti color pom-pom trim. This is on a plush silk and cotton burgundy velvet which is on the front and back. I finished the pillow with a burgundy cord which is knotted in the corners. Fabulous Ancient Chinese Partial Tapestry Bronze & Silver Thread Foo Dogs
For sale I have a Fabulous Piece of Chinese History. I am NOT and expert in these types of items but this is truly spectacular. It is a partial tapestry from ancient China depicting the famous Foo Dogs in bronze and silver thread. The body is made of silk and other materials and is extremely colorful for it's age. Which brings me to another point. I don't have a clue how old this is but it for sure sat in an attic in Philadelphia in a box for a heckuva long time. It measures about 60" x 24" and does have what appears to be a water stain on the back of it. If you would like more photos, please let me know. Anyone who might have some knowledge as to how old it might be or it's origin I would appreciate the input.
