These are a ... moresoft Delft blue color on white. The design is a delicate swirled floral. The blue has a flowed appearance. I also have some in the same pattern that are more distinct) These tiles have a hole in the center. A screw was inserted through the hole to attach the tiles to the metal stove. They are square. Measuring 2-3/8" square X 9/16" thick. These are old and were removed from the stove so have slight imperfections from their intended use. They will make a beautiful backsplash or trivet. They could also be mounted in a custom frame with knobs attached through the screw holes to make a nice jewelry or hand towel rack. Antique Cast Iron Parlor Stove Finial- with Brass and Copper! This antique cast iron parlor stove finial was found in the attic of a relative's house we are helping clear out! We don't know too much about it. But it is cast iron, with the top pieces looking like they are brass and copper! The only identifying mark we could find is on the bottom as photographed- BS015" in the casting. The piece measures approximately 9" across the base by 11" high. And weighs approximately 2.6 lbs! Perhaps this is the piece someone needs needs for a restoration. Or would make a nice collector's piece. The finial is in the condition it was found in. With years of patina! This auction is for a great old grate! Manufactured by the Mt Penn Stove Works. Reading, PA, this grate is used and in excellent working order- the vent turns open and closed freely. It was never painted but has evidence of mortar or some similar light colored sealing agent on the flue. The plate measures 9 3/8" square and the flue is 6 5/8" ID and 6 7/8" OD. The back of the grate is only embossed as"7 IN" Which indicates the size and that it is older than grates marked as both"7 IN" and"IMP" Another difference is that this grate has only two corner holes for securing it to the wall versus the four on the"IMP" model. This was made in the late 30's and provided all the comfort of todays living for the time. As shown in the photos. There are many pieces that come with the range, including, burners, glass kerosene tank, wicks, etc. This range has not been tested, so it is unknown if it will work when assembled, or even if all the parts are here. An amazing Welsbach Kern cast iron gas mantle burner dating back to the 1870s and the beginnings of gas lighting. This was sold as a fabulous advance in technology casting the light of many candles. This was also a major advancement in safety for that time period so to have one was a true luxury. All taps and valves appear tight and firm but I have not tested this out. The markings.
