Description: This listing is for a beautiful headboard + footboard(no siderails included) Stamped Stickley. We have no idea how old it is. Gustav Stickley was born in 1858. In Wi. He worked in his uncle’s chair factory– his first formal training in the furniture industry. He created the Stickley Brothers& Company in 1883. Then Stickley& Simonds in Binghamton, New York. In 1898 he created The Gustave* Stickley Company. In the summer of 1900 he created his first Arts and Crafts works in an experimental line called the New Furniture. In 1901 he changed the name of his firm to the United Crafts. Issued a new catalogue and began to offer middle class consumers a host of progressive furniture designs in ammonia-fumed quartersawn white oak, as well as other mostly native woods. In October 1901, Stickley published the first issue of The Craftsman ... moremagazine. Stickley's furniture reflected his ideals of simplicity. Honesty in construction, and truth to materials. In 1903 he changed the name of his company again, to the Craftsman Workshops. Around 1904 Stickley's furniture evolved from solid. L. J. G. Stickley Model 601 Quarter Sawn Oak Antique Desk with 20 by 34 top from around 1910. It appears to have the original finish. There are some joint separations in the top but otherwise structurally sound. The drawer guide on the bottom of the drawer has been repaired. The L. J. G. Stickley emblem is on the drawer bottom. The last photograph shows this model desk from the old catalog with a backsplash that this one does not have. The drawer pulls are not original. It is stamped on the bottom with the Stickley mark ALS IL KAN. It has the strap handle and a large drip pan. Measuring 7" in diameter, as well as the bobeche which fits securely but is removeable. There are no dents and no repairs however, the stick itself is tilted slightly. It does not have its original patina. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are considered part of the description. There are three pictures where there is glare and the copper is bright, these were taken with a flash which makes the copper appear brighter. It stands 9 1/4" high and weighs approximately 28 oz. X-Unusual ANTIQUE CRAFTSMAN/Stickley STYLE TABLE/STOOL-Uncommon A1 PA. PRIMITIVE
CRAFTSMAN/Stickley Style TABLE/STOOL-Unusual VICTORIAN 1890-Oak Top NATURAL TREE WOOD BASE/Original BARK HISTORY: ~Was used either as a table or a stool. It is uniquely Victorian. Quite uncommon and unusual. Most likely dates to around 1880 to 1890. ~Entirely traditionally hand-made by a professional furniture-making craftsperson long ago. ~Also quite reminiscent of Stickley or Craftsman furniture. Especially on top. Hard to find and not commonly seen. It was almost surely hand made by a trained artisan. PROVENANCE: ~Came out to Washington State from Pennsylvania 30 years ago. ~Was from a family estate in a large family home in rural Pennsylvania. The home was located outside of the really teeny town of Arch Rock. Pa. which is outside of Mifflintown, PA. also a small town, located between State College and Harrisburg. There it had been long ... moreago lovingly packed and stored up in the large attic, and ramained there for several decades previous to its trip to Washington State. MATERIALS/MEASUREMENTS/DESIGN: ~Table/stool top is made of antique ancient-growth solid oak. It measures 12x12 inches on top. ~Handsome chamfered edges were added for refinement of the design. They make the unit look lighter and add beauty. Nicely cut corners provide the same function. ~Entire piece measures a total of 16-1/2 inches high. ~Base under top is made of natural tree branch wood of various widths. The wood is unique because it has been kept preserved in its original natural state. It was lovingly used as found on the original tree. Complete with original bark coating still firmly attached. Smaller twig branches were removed and smoothed over. ~Natural legs of the base make a handsome and remarkably interesting contrast with the refinement of the hand worked oak: in texture. Colour, grain, feeling, effect. I'm sure this was the maker's plan and desired effect. ~Legs are strong. Stalwart, and thick, flaring out at an angle that is both pleasant and elegant. I believe this chair was made by L and JG stickley. dont know for sure. its not signed that I see. old orig Finnish estate fresh. missing back bar of oak that would hold back rest in place. easy fix however. winner picks up from me or pays shipping and ins. just put up a few more pics. Notice bottom inside of rear right leg has a veneer chip missing and remaining veneer is a little loose. also rear left leg veneer is also needing re gluing, but has no loss. hope this helps.

This is a Stickley Era Limbert style early 1900's finely crafted tabouret table. Because of the style of the cutouts. It possibly was made for a church. The table is 17 inches high and 11 inches wide at the octagonal top. The perfectly put together legs seem to splay slightly. There are a couple of separations in the wood on top. Selling today. Is this Classic Leopold Stickley Cherry Valley Four Poster Bed.The bed was made here in the USA at their workshop in New York State. The bed is Solid Cherry, in their natural finish. It is in Very Good condition, with age appropriate wear and a few scratches. The bed is as solid as the day it was built- no looseness anywhere. The bed has been carefully cherished and taken care of, being in the same Family since it was purchased. The bed dates from the late 1940's to the early 1950's. Beautiful Quartersawn Mission A/C Quaint Stickley Brothers Lamp Table
This is an amazing Quaint Stickley Brothers lamp table. It has been refinished at some point with a light satin poly overcoat applied. There are a few very minor dings and scratches that are only overcoat deep and can be removed by a light sanding. That is what we had planned on doing to get back down to the stain so we could apply a hand rubbed wax but we never got around to it. We moved to a home built in 1859 and our A/C pieces aren't really fitting in like they did in our other home so we have posted a few for sale with more to come over the next few months. The dimensions of this table are 28" in diameter x 26" tall and the lower shelf is 19" in diameter. It is in very good condition with the above stated minor dings and some wear to two edges of one leg. I have pictured that as well. Antique STICKLEY Bar Back Mirror Glass Doors Mission Arts & Crafts Saloon 1921
Here we have an"As Found" wonderful old backbar top. From an old saloon that was in Benton Harbor, Michigan around the turn-of-the-century, and about 40 years ago was torn down. Thank goodness the old guy next door had enough vision to grab this piece and save it in his home all of these years! This one is dated on the back 1921 and we are told it was made in Grand Rapids Michigan by Stickley. It is in need of cleaning up and maybe a bright new finish, or enjoy it just a it is! It measures roughly 5' tall and 6' wide, and the doors open smoothly and all of the mechanisms are original and intact. For consideration is a lovely. 1985 Stickley, Fayetteville 9 piece dining room set marked Cherry Valley. All pieces are sturdy with joints firmly connected. In photo 4, you can see the Stickley Brand mark. The table is the butterfly style with leaves that fold underneath. Fully open, the table measures 106" When the leaves are under the table it is 64" long. Each leaf is 21" and the table is 40" wide. There is a complete set of table pads. When you extend the side leaves. They have to be in the exact position for stability. This can take a few trys, and there are NO instructions. There are surface smudges and minimal scratches on the table top, but it has been protected by the pads. The most wear can be seen on the feet of the table. There are 6 chairs. 2 arm and 4 side styles. They have been reupholstered and the upholstery ... moreis clean. If not to your style, it can easily be redone. The black factory protective fabric is missing from the underside of one arm chair seat. The chairs have numerous scratches and dings. Samples of which can be seen in the photos, again from 30 years of use, vacuuming etc. Some could be easily touched up with a stain pen. In photo 12, you can see where the back of one arm chair has rubbed against wet paint. All this said. This set is in excellent structural condition with normal wear due to use and age. Original Gustav Stickley Dining Chairs- Rush seats- Set of Five
Set of five original Gustav Stickley dining chairs. You can just make out the Stickley"Joiners" mark as shown in photos. There are three flaws that I can detect. 1. One chair has a light stain on the rush where the color gets lighter. 2. One chair has a broken round stretcher under the the rush(it'a the one set apart to the left in the first photo) we kept using the chair despite this and it held up fine. But to do a proper repair the rush would have to be removed. 3. One chair has a mortise in the vertical rear piece of the chair to repair a crack. Otherwise they are in really good, clean condition. The rush has been replaced. These are the real deal. It is not a perfect set. But look at what comparable originals are selling for. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I'll assist. Stickley Caned Rocking Chair #357
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a gorgeous antique rocking chair in very good condition. The rocking chair has never been refinished. Repaired or worked on in any way. We purchased this from an antique store in the early 1990s and it has sat as an accent piece in our home for years. It does not get much use. The caned weave upholstery is in very good condition and is still very strong. There are a few scratches where the rocking legs meet the floor(from normal use) and some fading on the arms.

The rocker is early 1900's and is in good antique condition with a nice patina and firm tendon and srew joints. This rocker features a formed saddle seat and measures: 25" tall, X 17 3/4" wide from arm to arm, X 13 1/4" deep.

Mission, Arts & Crafts 54" Dia Dining Table: Stickley, Limbert, JM Young era
This is a solid quartersawn oak dining table in the Mission. Arts& Crafts style. It is unmarked but came from a home in NJ that also had a signed Northern Furniture Co. Sideboard. Since there is little information available regarding the furniture made by them I am not able to confirm that the table is also Northern Furniture. It is an extension table and will open to accept 4- 12" wide leaves. When I obtained the table it had one leaf obviously made from the top of some other piece of furniture. I am selling it without any leaves. I can make as many leaves as desired at an addition cost of $165.00 per leaf. They will be made from quality quartrsawn white oak and are guaranteed to match the top in both color and finish. As is it will sit 7 people comfortably. Each 12" wide leaf will add one person to the seating capacity. Original L&JG Stickley arts& crafts period chest of drawers or dresser. Circa 1903-05. Beautiful quarter sawn oak with structural pegs throughout. Hammered copper hardware. 40 inches wide, 47 inches tall(without mirror) 77 inches tall(with mirror) 21 inches deep. Unsigned, but known to be an early design by L&JG Stickley. Stenciled on back that the piece was originally in the men's dormitory of MacDonald College. Surface has been refinished in a deep, dark brown color. The piece is structurally sound with ordinary wear and tear to the surface given its age. Originally purchased more than 10 years ago from a high-end arts& crafts dealer for significantly more than my starting price. Local pick-up only in Los Angeles(Westwood)

Unusual and very well cared for antique Mission Oak Sideboard in it's original finish. I have had this in my home for over 20 years and have always loved the great form and tall counter height(43" including the 1-3/4" removable wooden casters on the feet) which is seldom found. I don't know the manufacturer and can find no label on it but judging from the quality of the cabinet and the hardware it could be Stickley. Limbert, or another comparable maker from the very early 1900's. All solid quarter sawn tiger oak throughout. No breaks or repairs. Nice original finish with only normal light surface wear. There is one pull missing on the bottom drawer. Measurements are 58" long. 57-1/4" tall to the top of the mirror, 43" height to the counter top, and 22-1/2" deep. These measurements include the 1-3/4" ... moreheight of the removable wooden foot casters. If you like the Arts& Crafts era furniture here's one with exceptional style and condition that is ready to set into your home. You are welcome to pick this up at my home in Massillon.
