An arm chair, leather seat looks original, finish i believe is original, has remnants of a paper label underneath, the mark is a wood burn. measurements- just under 26" high. 18" wide arm to arm. 13 1/4" deep from front foot to back foot, seat is 15 1/4" wide and 12 1/2" deep. condition- pretty amazing given the age. The worst thing i see is a spot of wear on the seat like something dripped on it, this could probably be touched up somehow, seat looks good and if you look underneath the backing cloth is torn a bit but it doesn't affect anythinng. i see one scratch to the leather on the back edge, minor wear at the front arms, overall one of the nicer examples of this chair you will find, i haven't done anything to it and am selling it just as i found it. why is this item listed ... moreat 5 times the price i actually want to sell it for? i'm glad you asked. when you sell on ebay the fees come to about 15- 20% these days. This is a nice signed Gustav Stickley hall settle model#205. Hard to find form in a great size. Measures 55 3/4" wide. 22" deep, and 30" tall. Nicely refinished with a matte finish. Signed with the burned in Stickley mark. Very good overall structural condition with no looseness or repairs. Two of the posts have minor seam separations at the top. They are not loose, just wanted to mention for accuracy. I can ship this. It will probably run in the $250 range and go via freight.

Set Small Roycroft Copper Hand Hammered Bookends Cross Design Stickley Era
This is a charming pair of Roycroft hammered copper bookends. They are about 3.25 inches tall and the base is about 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches.There is no sign that they were ever felted. They are marked with the Roycroft"R" in as orb with cross. There is no sign that these were ever buffed or polished- it looks like the original dark patina. These are small. But are a good size for paperbacks or other small books. There is a faint old scratch on one side near the cross- you have to hold it at just the right angle to even see it, and a shorter scratch on the other one near the edge. I angled them in the photos so it would show up No other marks or damage of any sort. I am always happy to answer any questions or to supply additional photos. I don't end auctions early or add BINs to auctions that don't already have them.

Gustav Stickley# 729 writing desk I thought the smaller locks were added because i had no photo reference upon closer inspection one can see they are factory.One lock was missing thankfully i had a parts desk with original so i applied.Desk is pretty rare.Has intact original interior and hardware.The pulls were painted black at one point they can be stripped without affecting the patina.Excellent original color and finish.Note that the drop front portion is slightly lighter than the rest of the desk.May have been in a sunny room.45 in high 36 in wide 13 deep a compliment to any room.

Stickley brothers hammered copper tray signed arts and crafts metal work
This hammered copper tray was done by the Stickley Brothers co in Grand Rapids. Mi around 1910. Most of the copper work is considered to have been done by Russian immigrants working for Albert Stickley. This tray has a good original looking patina with minor discolorations as seen in the pics. This is a softcover book titled"Craftsman Homes" By Gustav Stickley. It was published by the Lyons Press in 2002, and it is a reprint of a rare book published in 1909. The book has 205 pages and measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall. The book is illustrated with lots of photos showing beautiful examples of Arts& Crafts homes, with floor plans for 40 different styles. Here's an excerpt from the book's back cover: A breath of fresh air was blown into the stuffy. Overdone interiors of Victorian houses when the Arts& Crafts movement swept through Europe and the United States in the 1880s. What we have up for your consideration is a VERY nice Handmade copper pot that measures approximately 10" long by 4" wide& 2 1/2" deep. I believe that it is from the Stickley Craftsmen company because it is stamped"Handmade Craftsmen Co. 852" on the bottom& is a nice heavy well made piece. Brief History of the Craftsmen Co. October 1901. Stickley published the first issue of The Craftsman magazine, an important vehicle for promoting Arts and Crafts philosophy as well as the products of his factory within the context of articles, reviews, and advertisements for a range of products of interest to the homemaker. Stickley's new furniture reflected his ideals of simplicity. Honesty in construction, and truth to materials. Unadorned, plain surfaces were enlivening by the careful application of colorants so as ... morenot to obscure the grain of the wood and mortise and tenon joinery was exposed to emphasize the structural qualities of the works. Hammered metal hardware, in armor-bright polished iron or patinated copper emphasized the handmade qualities of furniture which was fabricated using both handworking techniques and modern woodworking machinery within Stickley's Eastwood, New York, factory(now a part of Syracuse, New York) Dyed leather, canvas, terry cloth and other upholstery materials complemented the designs. Those ideals- simplicity. Honesty, truth- were reflected in his trademark, which includes the Flemish phrase Als Ik Kan inside a joiner's compass. Up for bids is this Antique Early 20thC Signed L. J.G. Stickley Handcraft Oak Foot Stool. This piece was made by L. J.G. Stickley between 1907& 1912. This piece is signed with the L. J.G. STICKLEY HANDCRAFT on the hand screw decal. This piece is constructed out of quarter sawn oak. The stool is in excellent condition with the original finish. The legs are a little loose and needs to be reglued. The original leather upholstery has been replaced with a needle point tapestry. This could easily be reupholstered with leather. Whose interiors were highly influenced by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, is typical of the sophisticated and elegant designs Ellis created just for the magazine. In this issue there were two drawings of the music room featuring this music cabinet. The original cabinet itself was graceful– the top had a bowed front. Four free-standing stiles that extended above it to a serpentine front cornice, supported on arched aprons and elegantly curved corbels. It sported slightly bowed long, thin stiles, and beautiful oak veneer on oak flat sides. Another element that made this such a collector’s item were the legs– tapered at the top and bottom, but wider in the middle– it was very similar to a 1898 Mackintosh cabinet designed for his client H. Antique Charles Limbert two person bench/ settee.signed w/ branded mark under the arm. Very clean.excellent condition. Original finish. This bench has had very little use over its lifespan and has obviously been stored w/ great care. Great design w/ 5 legs. Dramatic full length corbels under each arm, two curved-back seating spots, extra wide and low front, side, and rear lower leg stretchers, slatted seat support, faceted/ screwed corner blocks, and shaped arms w/ bull-nosed edges. Completely solid. Note the immaculate condition of the slatted seat supports. Original spring seat unit is included.you can do the upholstery. Rare Byrdcliffe White Pines Art Pottery Arts & Crafts Stickley Era
Very rare and hard to find Byrdcliffe White Pines Pottery pocket vase. It is unclear how many pieces of White Pines Pottery were produced but it is thought to be in the low hundreds. Obviously few have survived and they rarely come to market. Beautiful design with eucalyptus leaves typical of the pottery. Jane Whitehead had ties to Santa Barbara and studied under Frederick Rhead. She also sold many of these pots in the Santa Barbara area. According to page 115 in The Cornell University Book Byrdcliffe An American Arts& Crafts Colony: Although most of the vases survive today have glazes of a single overall color effect. A few were decorated by painting and some others carried low-relief decoration that was suggested in the plaster mold and further worked by hand. All of the decorated vases-whether painted or modeled-feature the leaves ... moreand berries of the eucalyptus tree. Very nice condition with no cracks or hairlines. Glaze is thin on bottom tip and handle edges which appears to be original. Circa early 20th century. Measures 8.5" long. These pieces very seldom come onto the market especially with such a desirable decoration. This is one of two vases to come out of an upstate New York estate. Great Pair Hand Hammered Copper Hanging Porch Lights Mission Bungalow Stickley
For your consideration is this incredible pair of hand made. Hand hammered copper hanging porch lights. This wonderful pair of antique lights came off of an old Arts and Crafts Lodge in the Adirondacks, New York, we had all eight and this is the last pair. The lights measure 18" long including canopy, and are 6" across the roof of the lantern. These wonderful lights are all hand riveted and appear to be made in the early 1920's. Even the canopy, chain and hanger hook were handmade. The hanging lights have the beautiful natural rich patina that only time can give. They have frosted glass tube shades, in great condition, no chips or cracks. The sockets are different, both old, one is marked 1909. The lights take standard Edison base light bulbs. Note in the photos that though the lights are the same and had the same maker, the ... morerivets are different sizes, shown in photos 2& 3. Also note that the canopies are pictured in photos 4 and 9,the ring that holds the canopy in place with a set screw is missing on the light with the smaller rivets.
