CHEST OF DRAWERS ANTIQUE CHAIRS TABLES BRONZE SCULPTURES FINE PAINTINGS SCHOOL OF ORIGIN SUBJECT LAMPS. LIGHTING GUSTAV STICKLEY MISSION OAK HALL SETTEE# ... more205 Inside of leg with c. 1905-12 red decal mark Item# 1406MWX29Z A rare and absolutely stunning form. This austere work from the workshop of Gustav Stickley is an impressive object. The solid oak and oak veneers glow under years of waxing, the finish is soft and velvety with warm mellowed hues and a deep patina from the oxidized charm of use. The back leg retains the decal of the Stickley shop used during the years of 1905-12. It is in every way a very fine investment grade selection. Measurements: 55 13/16" wide x 22 5/8" deep x 29 5/8" high; 18" high to top of cushion Condition Report: Oak veneer cracking and loss throughout. Particularly to the edges of the feet and along the posts. Surface is early, probably not original, well preserved with wax. Scratches, gouges and abrasions throughout, as expected with an antique, these well represented in the photos. Core of feet have typical dry-rot, not causing any issues or weakness. Appears to be the original seat frame(though we have not removed the leather upholstery to examine) reupholstered in a carmel-chocolate leather, this with light abrasions and use indicators. Please review all images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition. | | | | |

Stickley & Brandt carved lion Rocker
This chair is a original beauty. original finish" Send me your zip code for shipping estimate. The best known Stickley furniture. And the most valuable on today’s market, Because the style was such a success, Stickley’s brothers produced similar pieces in their firms: L. J.G. Stickley, Stickley& Brandt, and Stickley Bros. but Mission was not the only style of furniture made under a Stickley banner. This rocker(pictured) is a piece by Charles Stickley(1871-1927) Who married into the Brandt furniture family in 1891, forming the Stickley-Brandt Furniture Company in Binghamton, N.Y. It couldn’t be any further from the Mission design, and its elaborate styling would never be identified at the back of an auction hall as a“Stickley. There is a pretty good reason for this, as of all the Stickley furniture companies formed, this is the only ... moreone whose catalogs of their Victorian style furniture have never been reprinted, and there is not a lot of documentation on the late Victorian furniture designs made by the company. What we do know is that Stickley-Brandt’s retail store opened in 1896. And did well until World War One. The retail store remained open until 1928, but the furniture factory closed in 1917. Towards the end of the factory’s life, the craftsmen there did try to capitalize on the Mission Style, bringing out their own version of older bother’s Gustave’s vision in 1909, but it was too late, as the demand for the massive oak pieces was in decline, finished off by the war and changing tastes. After the furniture company’s bankruptcy, Charles left the industry, but remained in Binghamton until his death in 1927. Posted with

This table is now discontinued and this piece is VERY tough to find-you won't see it come up for sale often. Table also has a bottom shelf and is in fantastic condition with no noticeable chips. ARTS & CRAFTS WICKER LAMP SHADE MADE IN JAPAN FOR GUSTAV STICKLEY
This is a very old ARTS AND CRAFTS STYLE LAMP SHADE These shades were made in Japan for Gustav Stickley to put on his lamps. This shade is not in very good condition. But can be repaired as the steel frame is intact. I do not believe the white cloth underside and gold fringe is original to the shade. It is only attached with two twist ties and can easily be removed. I have left it on the shade in case the buyer wants that frame for future use as well. The shade measures 19" x 19" and is 10" tall not including the gold fringe around the bottom.
