The chairs are made of excellent quarter sawn oak and have good original finishes and marked with early box decal. We do have few dozen Morris chairs in the shop but none are with fantastic quarter sawn oak with super original color as this chair( we also have the same model circa 1900) The chair has excellent construction and is extremely thick and bulky. The arms are bowed and have pinned through tenons at the front and back and supported by pinned corbels at the front and back. The leg posts are very wide and thick. The back is pinned at every joint. The adjustable back support and pegs appear to be original and have several setting. The original seat and back cushion have been professionally recovered with top quality black leather(new seat cotton net) Hand rubbed leather with 100% cotton and hair fill( no cheap foam) This is a very desirable form in excellent condition and is highly collectible. VERY RARE Gustav Stickley plant stand. In cherry with a square inset top over a lower shelf on tapered legs. The veneer is lifting slightly at top as pictured but is not peeling or coming off. Only the top is veneer, as it was manufactured, the rest of the table is solid cherry. The overall condition is very good for a table of this vintage. Rare ANTIQUE END TABLE/ STOOL-Craftsman/Stickley STYLE-Unusual A1 PA. PRIMITIVE!
CRAFTSMAN/Stickley Style TABLE/STOOL-Unusual VICTORIAN 1890-Oak Top NATURAL TREE WOOD BASE/Original BARK HISTORY: ~Was used either as a table or a stool. It is uniquely Victorian. Quite uncommon and unusual. Most likely dates to around 1880 to 1890. ~Entirely traditionally hand-made by a professional furniture-making craftsperson long ago. ~Also quite reminiscent of Stickley or Craftsman furniture. Especially on top. Hard to find and not commonly seen. It was almost surely hand made by a trained artisan. PROVENANCE: ~Came out to Washington State from Pennsylvania 30 years ago. ~Was from a family estate in a large family home in rural Pennsylvania. The home was located outside of the really teeny town of Arch Rock. Pa. which is outside of Mifflintown, PA. also a small town, located between State College and Harrisburg. There it had been long ... moreago lovingly packed and stored up in the large attic, and ramained there for several decades previous to its trip to Washington State. MATERIALS/MEASUREMENTS/DESIGN: ~Table/stool top is made of antique ancient-growth solid oak. It measures 12x12 inches on top. ~Handsome chamfered edges were added for refinement of the design. They make the unit look lighter and add beauty. Nicely cut corners provide the same function. ~Entire piece measures a total of 16-1/2 inches high. ~Base under top is made of natural tree branch wood of various widths. The wood is unique because it has been kept preserved in its original natural state. It was lovingly used as found on the original tree. Complete with original bark coating still firmly attached. Smaller twig branches were removed and smoothed over. ~Natural legs of the base make a handsome and remarkably interesting contrast with the refinement of the hand worked oak: in texture. Colour, grain, feeling, effect. I'm sure this was the maker's plan and desired effect. ~Legs are strong. Stalwart, and thick, flaring out at an angle that is both pleasant and elegant. SUPERB DANNER TIGER OAK REVOLVING BOOKCASE 4 or 5 LEVEL STICKLEY ERA -SIGNED!
Folks. Here is a very early and RARE Tiger Oak Danner Revolving Bookcase in the medium dark'Fumed Oak' finish that was used very often in the 1890-1920 Arts and Crafts(Stickley Era) by most makers of fine Mission Oak furniture. The Paine Furniture(established in 1835) company sold Danner bookcases of this type in the 1880's through the early 1900's with the wider slats and DECORATIVE hobnails. This was probably a special order made by Paine Furniture during those years. We had this model once before. And the Paine Furniture label was under the bottom of the Danner. There are a few very minor"scars of time" that only add authenticity and charm to this treasure. Overall measurements are 26" square and 58" high. There are four levels with 16 bookcase sections. All measuring 16" wide, 7" deep and ... more11" high. Many people also used the flat top of the Danner as another bookcase level, making it a 5 level Danner! Besides being a fantastic bookcase, Danners are great for holding HUNDREDS of CD's, DVD's and your prized Collectables! The stenciled"Danner Trade Mark" is seen on a top level section. The tiger oak used is top of the line! The steel and oak base is original and this Danner spins nicely. It is rare to see a model with the large center wooden pole visible.very nice! Stickley Mission Oak Sofa Loveseat CHEAP very nice condition
Up for sale is a very nice Stickley love seat. I believe the model is 89-9234. The wood is oak and the finish is Onondaga# 32. The length is 64” long. 37” deep and 29” tall. The fabric is in excellent condition with no rip or tears. The wood finish is very nice with slight wear at the hand resting points, not bad, just not like brand new. from a non-smoking home. This couch was also professionally cleaned 1 ½ years ago when I got it from a consignment store. Stickley is very well built and very heavy for the size. We are moving furniture around and no longer need this so I thought I would give it a try on ebay. This charming table is an original Stickley Bros table in its original finish. It features a front drawer. Two very nice side leaves and a short back splash. It's 26.25" long with the leaves down and 40.5" long with them up, 18" deep and 29.25" tall(add another half inch for the back splash. This table has been in my family since the 1950s. I have for sale a genuine antique L&JG Stickley coffee table. It has two drawers that have hand hammered metal pulls. Inside of a drawer has the tag that reads: THE WORK OF L. J. G. STICKLEY The table's dimensions are: 48" wide. 30" deep, and 16" tall. The table top has a thickness of 1" It has a 1/16" gap between the planks that is about 17" long. see last photo) The drawers are constructed with dovetail joints and are: 25" deep. 18.5" wide, and 3.5" tall. It has all original finish. Please note that the legs are cut shorter from the original length—By previous owner(see photo#11) This is a sturdy. I am so pleased to be offering for sale this handsome Gustav Stickley Mission Oak telephone aka phone stand aka table. 605. This piece is sure to appeal to collectors, as it appears to be a survivor, overall appealing with a few issues over its lifetime. It is signed/branded on the underside, as shown. The phone stand is 30" high by 14" square top over 14" square lower shelf. I would say that the piece is in nice, good"condition considering the fact that it is over 100 years old. It presents well but is far from perfect. That being said, as you can see from the detailed photos, the piece does have some water marks as it appears to have been used as a plant stand at some point in time. This remains a beautiful example of Arts& Crafts design at its best. Don't miss this chance to purchase this highly collectible ... morepiece to accent the decor of your home or office. Very nice signed even arm settle with metal tag. Dimensions are 76" in length 31" wide- seat is 28"deep. Settle has original finish in a medium dark stain. Very nice quarter cut oak with pegged construction and original box spring seat. The settle has 16 slats on back with 5 slats which are slightly canted under each arm. Stickley Full Sized Bed Antique Arts & Crafts
I bought this bed in Portland. Oregon about 20 years ago. I bought is from Craig Linderman at 1904 House antiques. Craig is an expert on Arts& Crafts furniture, and at the time he told me it was a Gustav Stickley bed that had been stripped, so the label was gone. The side rails are different than the ones I have seen on Gustav Stickley's style 326. 327, 337 spindle beds, and the tops of the posts are different. At any rate it is a nice mortise& tenon antique arts& crafts bed. There is a repair from before I got it on the foot board. I attached a photo. It is blended pretty well and done with oak as well. The other thing is that when I got the bed it did not have the original side rails any more. So I had Craig make the ones that are shown in the photo. Early 1900's vintage Stickley Brothers oak lamp table. This stand is identified in the catalog as#5671 which matches the light. But still readable stenciled factory mark on the underside of the table top. This is a quality, heavy stand constructed of solid quarter sawn oak and as evidenced in the photos showing the splined joint top. It measures 24" tall, and 15-1/4" wide by 15-1/4" deep. It was refinished many years ago. On one side(about a third of the way up) there is a slight coloring change(see photo#7) which may be fading from it facing the sun where it sat? Also the top has a darker center area and a slight separation where the boards meet. This is a very versatile piece that can be used as a lamp table. Night stand, side table, or? Early 1900's large Mission Oak library table from the Arts& Crafts Period. Measures 60-3/4" long. 30-1/2" deep, and 31-1/4" high. All quarter sawn tiger oak in its original finish and very sturdy. No manufacturers label or mark that I can find. Has dowel pinned joints and the lower stretcher board is mortised through(as seen in the closeup photos) The long spindled ends and overhanging top give it a great look. All original condition with no breaks or repairs. Normal surface wear including some marks and scratches on the top surface.
