PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original to desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. There are some scratches and dings to wood as can be seen in photos. One rear leg had slight exposure to dampness at one time and has a little swelling. Which could be sanded and finished but I am leaving item in condition as acquired. Dovetailed drawer has had nails added on both sides for added strength at some point. Buyer will be responsible for making shipping arrangements. Which can include pickup in the Kalamazoo- Grand Rapids, Michigan area or I can work with you to make arrangements with a shipping company of your choosing and which buyer will pay for. SAID TO BE BY STICKLEY ❖ When I purchased this excellent cabinet years ago it was from a New York City seller who said he bought it at the Peter-Roberts Gallery in SoHo back in the late 1980's. Which was a premier Stickley& Arts& Crafts antique dealer of the time. He said he was told when he bought it that it was Stickley. I've never found a label or Maker's Mark on this one. But it certainly has the sort of quality one would expect from one of the early Stickley company manifestations, and certainly appears to play the part but I'm not entirely sure of the maker. I was actually looking for something to display my sundry copper collectibles(a few of which I've put in the photos. But which aren't yet listed. and other crafted ... morecurios& wares. But cabinets like this were used to show& store the Good China, and Craftsman-style China Cabinets from that era are generally quite popular& coveted. And you can see why! It's an awesome piece. Clean, solid, simple, exquisitely crafted from very gorgeous tight-grained solid quarter-sawn tiger-oak. Just the thing for displaying pretty much anything. They can tend to get very pricey. I've tried to make decent photos of this but I don't have nearly the camera nor set-up. It's in really decent shape to my eye. Aside from the typical age-appropriate character. Various marks& scratches here& there, etc. it looks in really good shape to me. Full-disclosure items I can spot are a small piece of the veneered back peeled off(the only part of the piece that looks veneered) but this doesn't show from the front or sides. The top has opened a small separation between glued-up solid boards(as happens with glued-up panels sometimes) two of the hinge-pins are stowed somewhere when the movers moved this(will try to find the originals) but I've put in decent-looking brass ball-tipped hinge-pins that very nearly match. Stickley Oak End Table purchased at new at Masins Interiors in Seattle in September 2006 for $1120. It is in great condition. Excellent example of a Mission Style Arts and Crafts table. We are the original owners. We have no pets and it has been stored in an unused guest room since we had kids so if you have allergies to either. It should be safe. It would be perfect for any Craftsman/Mission house or interior. HUGE STUNNING Floral Button-Tufted Accent Arm Chair Original purchase price with designer fabric over $2.500 This chair was purchased@ Stickley furniture in Manlius. New York and just made it's trek down to Northern Georgia. The fabric is a very light yellow with the red clover print you see, chosen by a New York socialite. It spent it's life in an estate in Upstate New York so it indeed has been used, but not abused. As you can see by the photos, there are some minor stains on the current fabric. NO HOLES, funny smells or major issues. This chair is solid and was just tightened up by a fine furniture specialist. If you choose to recover, you could easily do that, even leather would be AMAZING on this, however you could use the current fabric with no problem. This auction is for an Original 1906-1912 Quarter Sawn Oak L& JG Stickley Tabouret. It has its original finish. Original Work of L& JG label on arched stretcher. Base has some nicks. Mostly to edge of legs. A couple scratches and stains to top. Octagonal top has through posts or tenons. Stretcher is pinned. It has a nice dark brown with reddish color. It measures approx. 17" high by 15" across top. Spline joint on end may look a little open at bottom on side view but this joint is tight& strong. Small dot seen in pictures on bottom of top appears to be original old hyde glue. Small amount of checking(slightly open cracks) to one leg(see picture) Again finish looks original to me and I have restored woodwork for over 30 years. Description: Here is a beautiful mission oak tabouret or taboret done during the Arts& Crafts period. The wood is beautiful quarter sawn oak with a great stripe to it and a patina that can only be achieved after many decades of display. It was listed as Larkin at the estate sale I bought it from. The woman said that her mother just always called it her“Larkin stand” I looked through a few Larkin catalogs but could not find this design but they made many hundreds of styles over the years so it still could be. The wood though looks to be of the same quality as those made by Stickley. This piece is in amazing shape for its age. Except for the usual dings or nicks that you’d expect to see the only real thing I could possibly note is that there is like a 1/2" x 1/8” splinter from the center seam of the top and it looks like someone may ... morehave used a few finish nails to secure the moulding running around underneath the tabletop. One clue to its identity could be the use of corrugated metal fasteners to lock all sides of the eight legs together. The color of the wood is a rich. Deep reddish, gold brown that you see on these pieces and the grain really pops as you can tell from my pictures. Please look at all of the photos to judge the color and condition for yourself. This is a Signed 1903-1904 Gustav Stickley#339 Rocker. 1/4 sawn oak wood. Circa 1903 to 1904. It comes with the original seat and leather. This model is a Harvey Ellis design. Leather on seat is worn with normal wear for being the original leather. And is a drop-in seat. The left back arm is loose, but does not hinder the functionality of the chair. The rocker is in the normal condition of a rocker from this era. It is meant more as a collectible item. A representation of this era, not really for snuggling up with a book. From a recent local estate. You are bidding on a Wonderful Piece of Vintage Arts and Crafts Hand Hammered Metal Work. This Bronze Vase measures 9" tall. And 9" in diameter at the mouth. Overall diameter is 11" at the widest point, and base measures 7 5/8" It has typical dovetailed construction of the period. And Beautiful Arts and Crafts Decorative Pattern repeated around the top half of the vase with rolled lip. Vase has a soldered bottom with incised stamp which looks to say PIP BRONZE with CL Logo. Condition is Original. With no repairs. There are two small holes just under the rim, on opposite sides. Perhaps for a chain to hang from the ceiling. This auction is for one handsome solid quartersawn oak spindle-leg fern stand. It is at least 30 to 50 years old. Possibly older, and beautifully made by an unidentified wood craftsman. The table surface has a lovely curvy edge. Below the top, there is a sort of"skirt" with a stylized fleur-de-lis(lily) symbol in open-work on all four sides. The slim, graceful legs are lovely and stable. Dimensions: Height is approximately 35-1/2 inches tall. The table measures 10 inches across at the center. NY, this photo dates to 1884-1891 when Albert was appx. 22-29 years old. According to Michael Clark& Jill Thomas-Clark in their book"The Stickley Brothers" In 1884, Gustav, Albert and John George moved to Binghamton, New York to operate a retail store and small chair factory. Gustav left in 1888 and Albert and John George moved to Grand Rapids to form Stickley Brothers in 1891. I've had a few Arts& Crafts"experts" look at this and they all agree that it is Albert. Beautiful Quaint(early Stickley Bros. quarter-sawn oak settle with brand new soft chocolate brown vinyl cushion-feels just like leather but will wear much better. Very much in keeping with what the original cushion would have looked like. This settle is stamped with a metal Quaint plaque underneath. I couldn't get a picture of it-but it is there. 74" long x 29" high x 26" deep. Seat is 18" off the ground. A few throw pillows turn it into a perfect Arts and Crafts couch and it would make a great extra bed when you have a guest. No screws-all through-peg and mortise and tenon construction.

Unique 3 candle Candelabra in Arts& Crafts/ Stickley/ Bungalow Style. This wooden triangular candelabra would look perfect on any fireplace mantel or table top. Especially suited to Stickley or Arts& Crafts style interiors. It appears to have never held any burning candles, no visible wax residue on the surface. This is a beautiful and rare early 1900's oak arts and crafts glass top table. It is unsigned and very well crafted with high styling unusual forked legs and ornate cut outs. It is in excellent condition with mild general wear to the solid oak frame and a couple of areas of grain splitting on the corners and some small strips of oak veneer missing from the edges of the shelf. The polished edge glass is fitted inside the recess and is in very good and old but might not be original. The glass is removable and will be packed carefully. 100% Authentic Arts and Crafts period Gustav Stickley Tree of Life stand Unsigned. But these are rarely, if ever, are. Dark. Original finish All original leather straps and studs Crisp edges Overall condition is very good there are some issues as to be expected with a piece of this age The leather straps are all there. With varying degree of wear, most are good; there is one section between two of the studs on the second shelf on one side, where the leather is missing. The bottom shelf has a clean. Horizontal split on an original seam. There was a repair done to a split that starts 18" from the ground on the front(or back. Both sides are identical) and goes diagonally to the floor- it is hard to photograph because it is hard to see, please look at the pictures closely and use the zoom to get an idea. The corbels are all excellent. The ... morepiece is sturdy. The finish is all original and very nice; there are minor marks commensurate with age. It is a lovely piece and presents well. These are very scarce lately for sale with the dark original finish- I can't find any for sale online and/or at various auction houses that specialize in arts and crafts and Stickley. I urge you to look at past auction results for Stickley Tree of Life stands at Rago Auctions website! The most recent one sold for $2.125 and it was missing all the leather and most of the studs; another for $2.480 with new, not-original leather(looked awful! Another for $1.708 with no leather or studs. One that was painted and missing all its leather and studs and warped sold for $1.116! and so on. there are years in between each of these sales as they do not come on the market very often. Skinner Auctions has 326 past results for Stickley furniture. Yet not one Tree of Life stand. I could consign the piece to either auction house, but I would prefer to pass on the savings directly to a collector who recognizes a great deal when he/she sees it without the significant buyer's premiums and seller fees. Here's a handsome Arts& Crafts era covered cigarette jar in copper by the Benedict Studios of East Syracuse New York. Which was formed sometime after Harry Benedict purchased the Onondaga Metal Shops in 1907. It measures almost 4" to the top of the lid's fluted oval finial and 3" ... morein diameter. As you can see, the only decoration beyond the finial is a 3-D geometric band at the bottom rim of the lid. In addition to the marks shown in our photo, there's'1972' written in ink and what looks like'7 10 1955' scratched by hand into the underside. The piece has definitely been used but is still in excellent shape. There's a very tiny dent on the body and another at the foot. Both almost invisible. And, the patination is rather inconsistent in places along the bottom third(or less) of the base. We can't be sure whether the piece was produced this way or the patina became irregular through normal handling or an attempted cleaning. Regardless, the slightly more red color in places near the bottom of the base is at most a minor distraction on this handsome vintage piece. If this description. Nice Gustav Stickley mission oak lamp table. Features pegged thru tenon construction on the arching cross stretchers. Beautiful quartersawn oak on the top that is very nicely refinished. The apron has also been refinished but I believe the base to retain most of it's original finish. Sturdy and tight. No wiggle and no seam separation in the top. There is normal edge nicks and such including a check to one edge of a leg near the foot. Overall great condition. Measures 36" in diameter and 29" tall. Excellent mission oak slag glass lamp arts and crafts stickley era
This is a wonderful arts and crafts table lamp. Very nice color and wood selection with a fair amount of quartersawn oak used. Which is uncommon in most of these lamps. All original glass is intact and free of damage. I had to glue a couple of the pane dividers on the lower sections of the shade, but other than that it's in very good original condition. Brand new cloth style cord with a vintage style plug as well. I'm sure the socket is an older replacement. The shade is actually splined together at the corners and visible on top. Please see the pictures for evidence of this. The only negative about this lamp at all is that the bottom has an ever so slight warp to it. It's not too bad, but bad enough that the lamp wants to rock slightly on a level surface. A small felt pad on one corner will take care of the issue but I wanted ... moreto mention it for accuracy. Arts and crafts stickley era hammered light fixture brass hand wrought look
Here is a nice hanging fixture with two shades. Retaining the original cylindrical white glass. Very arts and crafts almost gothic looking shades. The shades are attached with heavy solid brass chains to the spreader bar. There may be a finial or something missing, there is a hole in the center of the spreader bar. The canopy is also hammered and has a great look! I'm not sure if this is all original or not, these are the parts I purchased it with, but it needed putting together. In the pictures the fixture is not wired. I will have it wired before shipping. I ran out of wire and couldn't get it done, but it will be wired and ready to go before shipping. The entire fixture hangs down 40" and is approx 20" wide. the overall length could be changed by having links removed. Arts and crafts antique hammered ceiling fixtures pair stickley era
Up for sale is 2 arts and crafts hanging fixtures. Both need some work. One more than the other. The first one is missing the ceiling canopy, and two shade holders. And of course shades. The second is missing the ceiling canopy, two arms, one arm is broken, and all the shade holders are missing as well as shades. The second one is really a parts fixture, retaining the chain, nice hammered loops on each end, as well as the parts of the main body of the fixture. The chain and loops are worth their weight in gold if you had another fixture you needed them for. It's getting hard to find good arts and crafts lighting parts. The first fixture. THIS IS AN EARLY DESIGN AND I BELIEVE WAS ONLY MADE UP UNTIL AROUND 1907 AS IT IS PICTURED IN THE BOOK TITLED THE COLLECTED WORKS OF GUSTAV STICKLEY. THIS IS TRUE AND AUTHENTIC. ON THE TOP BACK OF IT WHICH WAS LIGHLY SANDED AND DARKER FINISH ADDED LATER YOU CAN SEE LARGE SHADOW OF WHERE THE LARGE CRAFTSMAN LABEL WOULD HAVE BEEN. ON BACK OF THE SINGLE ORIGINAL DRAWER YOU CAN SEE ORIGINAL PENCILED DIMENSIONS OF THE DRAWER SIZE AND ALSO LARGE ORIGINAL PENCILED 706 FOR THE MODEL OF THIS DESK AS THE DRAWER WAS MADE ON ANOTHER SIDE OF THE SHOP AND PLACED INSIDE WHEN COMPLETED. THOUGH THE FINISH LOOKS TO BE ALMOST A WALNUT TYPE COLOR IT IS DEF MAHOGANY AS ... moreTHIS FORM WAS ONLY MADE IN OAK.WALNUT AND MAHOGANY WHICH WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE OF THE 3 AS IT WAS SOLD FOR 37.50 WHEN MADE. DUE TO ME HAVING TO PHOTO IT OUTSIDE ON A BRIGHT DAY THE FINISH LOOKS MUDDIER DUE TO THE BRIGHTNESS. IT IS BEST SHOWN IN THE 1ST PHOTO AND 7TH PHOTO THOUGH THERE IS STILL SOME LIGHT REFLECTION. THE COLOR IS VERY VERY CONSISTANT ALL AROUND IT. ORIGINAL HAND WROUGHT UNPOLISHED BRASS HINGES WITH PYRAMID TACKS. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS LIGHTLY ENHANCED FINISH ON THE FRONT OF THE DROP FRONT BUT IS PERFECTLY CONSISTANT WITH THE ORIGINAL FINISH INSIDE THE LID. THOUGH SOME REFINISHING WAS DONE IN AREAS WHOEVER DID THIS WAS VERY PROPER IN THEIR COLOR USE AND HOW THEY DID IT. TOP AND SIDES LOOK TO ONLY HAVE HAD A LIGHT ENHANCEMENT TO THE FINISH. IT IS VERY EVEN ALL AROUND IT AS YOU HAVE TO LOOK VERY CLOSELY TO EVEN NOTICE IT AS IT IS THAT WELL DONE. IT WAS PROBABLY DONE IN THE 50'S OR 60'S. ONLY A MINOR TIGHT LINE ON TOP RIGHT OF THE OVERHANGING TOP. ALSO HAS ONE GLUED BREAK ON THE RIGHT WHERE THE INSIDE HINGE IS THAT CAN EASILY BE FILLED AS SHOWN IN PHOTO 10.
