Unusual early 1900s vintage mission oak cafe table desk Limbert Stickley Era
Unusual antique Mission Oak piece from the very early 1900's. I have never seen another like it but would describe it as a cafe or breakfast table. Possibly a desk. Measures 30" tall. 34-1/8" long, and 21-3/8" deep. It is unsigned and I do not know the maker. Great Arts& Crafts Period form with the cutout decoration on the front as well as the keyed tenon construction. All solid quarter sawn oak with excellent tiger stripe grain. Original finish although it is fairly worn on the top surface which also has scratches. Very sturdy and a nice size to fit most anywhere. For your consideration. I have a Very Rare Pair of Antique 1930's( I believe) Mid-Century Designer GOTHIC Wrought Iron Floor Lamps. These lamps are in terrific working condition with long flexible cords. They stand approx. 61 inches tall and the twisted wrought iron seems to have a floral or ivy pattern. It also finishes with a floral leaves light socket. It has a light shade that attaches directly to the light bulb. I have been searching for and buying these for over20 years and this is one of the best I have ever had. It measures 36" across Condition is excellent other then some wrinkles and needing to be hemmed. Since it never was I suspect it was never used.

ORIGINAL ANTIQUE fantastic Gustav Stickley mission oak Bungalow library Trestle Table! Rare piece. Made circa 1910. Mortise and wood peg construction, and having a broad lower shelf. See reference book `Stickley Brothers Furniture` by Koon, p.106. A few minor stains and scuffs to top surface(see 4th photo for worst of it, dark scratch in center of top) Stickley paper label is missing. Measures nearly 29" high(31" with casters) x 48" W(top) x 30" D(top) Overall in very nice condition for age. Please note that everything is complete and in tact except there are no screws to fasten top. If shipped everything comes apart as shown in last photo. There is one minor missing chip to wood at bottom of extension where peg is inserted. Shown in 3rd photo closeup of left peg insert. You have to look closely to see and it does not ... moreaffect strength of table, just cosmetic only. The only other minor issue is that top is not all one piece. It was originally made by joining multiple oak planks. The top is separated at one of these plank joints so the top is in 2 pieces, one is about 2/3 of top, the other is 1/3 of top. This joint matches up nicely once top pieces are mounted in place with screws that hold top, but there is a seam. This table is located in Louisville. Kentucky, so free local pickup in person. Stickley era mission oak leather top hexagon table
For sale is a fantastic leather top stickley style table. This 6 leg table features the stacked cross stretcher configuration seen on Gustav Stickley tables like this. The legs have thru tenons from each stretcher. And have a slightly shaped foot, often seen on Stickley brothers tables. I'm unsure as to who actually made this table, but it's more than likely a Grand Rapids maker. The leather has been replaced as well as the tacks. There is some rippling effect to the leather, but being in Michigan, it's more of a seasonal thing. It comes and goes with the temperature and humidity changes. The day the photos were taken, it happened to be a day when the leather was wavy. The wood retains it's original finish and isn't quite as light and washed out as the pics may present. I feel it's a medium-light color. The table measures ... moreapprox 41" wide on the flat sides. From point to point it is 48" 29" tall. Shipping will have to be via blanket wrap shipper obviously. I picked this up from one of my favorite auction houses very nearby in the Springfield area and going to try starting it at nothing so it is a real auction and to have fun. But I had to pay for it too. Please bid fairly and I got more good stuff. This is nice and as pictured signed Stickley. It measures about 36' tall x 18 1/2" wide x 18 1/2" deep and the seat is about 18 1/2" high. I tried to picture it well to both show it off a bit and answer some questions. I also tried to price it for good value in hopes of another happy customer and a quick sale so I can go find more stuff. Up for auction is this neat little book titled Stickley Cherry Valley Furniture. A Living American Tradition. The catalog of Stickley furniture was published by L. J. G. Stickley, Inc. Fayetteville, N.Y. in 1954. The following history of the Stickley Company comes from the company’s web site: Our story began with three words: Als Ik Kan—to the best of my ability. This old Flemish craftsman's phrase has been the guiding principle of Stickley. Gustav Stickley marked his product with the phrase to assure customers that Stickley furniture was of the finest quality. Every piece made with honor, integrity, and pride. The Stickley brothers burst into international prominence in the early 20th century with their Mission Oak designs. These were based on the notion that furniture should be"honest"a reaction against the fake joinery. Unnecessary ... moregaudiness, and shoddy workmanship of many of the pieces created in the early days of industrial furniture making. The Stickleys used solid construction. What-you-see-is-what-you-get joinery, and the highest quality woods. This original catalog measures about 14" x 11" and consists of 81 pages loaded with photogravures of dozens and dozens of pieces of Stickley Brothers furniture. The styles are not what is usually considered"Mission or Craftsmen" Rather a more Colonial or conservative direction.certainly important and successfully marketed in the 20's to the 30's. The large size catalog has been waterstained during its lifetime. This soiling apparent throughout largely on the lower half of pages. There are no paper losses, no notations, and the soiling does not prevent one from studying the pictures of the furniture. There are a couple of pages slightly chipped, but otherwise the only true defect is the waterstaining, which does not prevent it from being a useful research tool. Check out my! Original Gustav Stickley #614 Quarter Sawn Oak Library Table Medium Brown
Quarter sawn oak. 2 drawer, library table with Gustav Stickley red decal inside drawer has the typical through tenon construction and hammered pulls. The decal style dates from 1905-1912. Size = 29 1/4" d x 42 1/8" w x 30 h. In very good used condition with some staining, abraded spots, and knicks consistent with age and use and a scratch on lower stretcher/shelf. The finish is a rich medium brown, not black or orange. Photographs tend to make the finish appear more orange than it is. There is a slight separation of one board on the top, otherwise the table is in tight. See photos for condition details. I believe this to be model#614 but the dimensions vary slightly from the standard. I can recommend two shippers that I have used successfully. Or am happy to work with a shipper of your choosing.

Lifetime Arm Chair Mission Stickley Era Arts & Crafts
Up for your consideration is a Lifetime Arm Chair circa 1918. This is a fantastic example of a Lifetime model number 756 1/2 arm chair from their Puritan line. Lifetime was one of the last companies to introduce a new line of furniture at the end of the Arts and Crafts movement. The Puritan line was a very English Arts and Crafts design. This chair is upholstered in a nice fabric of a similar pattern to that of the catalog example. The true color of the fabric is more of a moss green than it is yellow. Nice arts and crafts era hammered copper ewer with double handles. Good hammering detail and nice patina. The piece is signed with the russian mark on the bottom. And does have a dovetailed seam as well. Generous size at approx 11" tall, and 7" wide at the handles. There is a seam in one of the spouts as seen in the pictures. And a small impression on one side near the base, also as pictured. This isn't perfect, but priced accordingly and looks good on a bookcase in your stickley decor.
