An original. 1957 L. Leopold) and J.G. Stickley, Early American/ Colonial sideboard. Piece is structurally very sound, all the joints are tight, and it has the original finish. All drawers slide easily and the overall condition is what I would call very good but not excellent. It is 48" wide x 21" deep x 34" tall. I'm no expert. But I believe the wood to be cherry. This auction is for an old wooden holder. This could be used as a waste basket. Umbrella holder, or even a planter. It is made of wood. I would guess it to be around 100 years old. It has a nice worn look on the outside but still has a nice look to it. The inside has what appears to be the original paint. It stands on four legs. Structurally it is sound. It is really well made and really sturdy. Also the bottom of the feet have a metal insert in the middle for it to sit on. The bottom may be the only thing not original that may have been replaced at some time, it look like a composite of some kind where the rest is solid wood. Also not sure how it is put together however I see no nails but it is sturdy more so than glue points would have been, real tight joints maybe mortised. Rare Gustav Stickley Slant-Top Desk 1912-1916
When you purchase this desk. You are buying a piece of history. This rare Gustav Stickley slant-top desk is a thing of beauty and a classic example of furniture from the Arts and Crafts period and the Mission style. The Stickley markings date this desk as being made between 1912-1916. It is made of solid oak hardwood and(on the slant top) tiger-eye oak veneer. The construction is primarily mortis and tenon and peg joinery. With the back piece nailed on with original hardware. The finish and patina are original, as is all of the other hardware. The piece has five drawers and internal storage compartments. As the photos show. The desk has some damage to the veneer on both the exterior slant top and interior. The interior desk storage door has been broken but glued back together. All the pieces are intact. Quality Used Furniture: Mission Style Chairs- 2 Recliners- Stickley- Solid Oak& Leather- Custom. 2000. This very nice pair of reclining chairs was made by Stickley. They are made of oak in the Mission style with leather upholstery. They measure about 35" wide and in the upright position are 41" deep and 39" tall. I acquired them new from the Stickley factory in 2000. I was able to have the leather custom done in an oak-like color. Each chair has a headrest of the same material. The arms have an elegant bowed profile. One leg on each chair is marked"Stickley" with a plate labeled"Stickley- Handmade- Manlius. NY" Together they cost about $5,000(in 2000) They are fantastic chairs made to last a lifetime. The only reason I am selling is that we are redecorating after moving to a new house and need something ... morecompletely different. We’re not very hard on furniture. So there is probably less normal wear than usual for it’s age. Never-the-less, some signs of age and use are unavoidable. The leather wears in this way, for example, which is part of the natural charm of the pieces. One chair has a wear mark on each arm. I can’t really ship this due to size and weight. But you can pick it up in Bean Station, Tennessee(less than 1 hour NE of Knoxville and 1 hour from the Smoky Mountains. a nice place to visit if you haven’t been here! Antique Arts & Crafts Hammered Brass / Copper Box WMF Stickley Roycroft Era
Arts& Crafts Hammered Box This wonderful early arts& crafts/ mission style hinged box has a great natural patina and a very nice hand hammered finish. The top and sides of the box have a circular/ oval pattern impressed into the finish with a twisted copper band attached to the top as a handle and another around the base that give it a very desirable look. This box is very nicely detailed. The inside has three compartments that are equally spaced about 2 3/8" X 3 5/8" The outside dimensions of the box are about 4 1/4" X 7 3/4" The box is in very good to excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. The top/ lid is domed and the center area around the lid handle is slightly depressed. the slight depression could be easily pressed back out from the underside of the lid but I'm not sure if it was intentionally ... moremade this way or not. Some very slight bends to corners and a need for some cleaning but I didn't want to disturb the patina. please see photos to fully appreciate condition and description. I get to the post office once a week on Saturdays. I will ship the first Saturday after payment is received. Shipping in the lower US is $8.00 and it includes insurance and delivery confirmation. This beautiful bookcase is Stickley-styled and could very well be Stickley since many pieces are not identified and displays many very unusual features. The fact that the sides are tiered makes it very unique and on the side panels are crisscross wooden add-ons which create beauty of its own. There is a closed door 12 x 12 compartment which features a frosted paneled door. This sturdy bookcase measures 30 inches in width and 4 feet in height with the bottom shelf being 14-1/2 inches in depth and the top shelf 11-1/2 inches in depth. PAIR ANTIQUE CARVED PINE TABLES NIGHTSTANDS SLEEK STICKLEY ARTS CRAFTS STYLE
We are pleased to offer this lovely pair of antique to older vintage tables. The tables(or nightstands) feature pine construction. They have sleek. Graceful lines in the Arts& Crafts, Stickley style. The pair have carved, slightly Art Nouveau style, details on the aprons and the upper sections of the legs. The table tops have raised, scalloped edges. Inside these edges the tops have a fixed piece of glass(not removable) The tables have crossed stretcher supports which are accented with delicate wood beading. The tables are simplistic yet sophisticated. They are in very good condition with minor signs of age/use. They are sturdy but they are relatively lightweight and somewhat delicate in design. The glass can be removed by removing the wood underneath, and it could use some cleaning on the underside. They are quite lovely! Each table ... moremeasures 27" tall and 16" square.
