Each of the sconces back-plates show off phenomenal carved bronze metal-work and craftsmen quality brass finishing. The center dome is finished in a flat black, classically Fr ench Empire. The turned brass socket covers are adorned with gorgeous pendant point sparkling cut-crystals. Each sconce has two lights that can accommodate up to a 60watt light bulb each. These sconces have been restored. Rewired, and new sockets installed for longevity and safety. This pair of antique bronze sconces is the perfect addition to any home decor! Sconces measure approximately 12 inches high. 12 inches deep and 13 inches wide each. Vintage chandeliers include original canopy when canopy is shown in the pictures. Antique Victorian Shelf Child Cherub Face Sconces Shelves Mantel - Pair 7" Tall
Antique Victorian Sconce or shelves are approx 7" tall 6 1/4" wide x 4 1/4" deep and show patina with age and a little wear that can be touched up. The corner edge of one has some wear with minimal wood loss. Could use a little stain marker for touch up. The backs have the original brackets but a screw is missing from the bottom bracket. Someone added the loop hook for hanging on the back, which of course is not original. The top and back are wood but Im not sure if the faces are a composite material or not. Im not an expert on this sort of thing but they are definately pretty old and not reproductions. Could they have once fit under a fireplace mantel or held lamps? These are a really cool pair of original Art Deco sconces. They have a nice skyscraper design typical of the Art Deco era. The chrome on these sconces is in great condition. Nice and shiny with a few scratches.These sconces use incandescent lights not flourescent so they are older than many of the sconces you see. The last picture is from a 1930's catalogue of sconces showing a sconce similar to this one. Although this one has much more detail. They have the same Lumiline bulbs made by GE. I was told the bulbs were new from old stock and had not been used but I have not tried them. The wiring on the lights will need to be replaced. Two Fantastic Antique Victorian Gold Carved Wood Mirrored Wall Shelf Sconces
This is a matching pair of absolutely beautiful Victorian mirrors with attached shelves. Both mirrors are framed in gorgeous art nouveau style ornately carved wood with tiny rectangles of mirror all the way around the large mirror. There are rosettes on all four corners of each mirror and a carved wooden shelf underneath. All of the wood is painted gold and is in excellent condition. There are no chips. And nothing is missing from the wood. The large mirrors are also excellent with very little wear, spotting, etc. The tiny mirrors that frame the larger mirror look cloudy and hazy in some spots where they have loosened and each mirror frame is missing one small rectangle of mirror. A replacement could be glued back on, or the bare spots could be painted silver to hide the missing mirrors, but they do look stunning as-is. This beautiful pair of magnolia lights came out of a vintage 1950's Las Vegas home. They are in excellent condition. They are made in Italy and have a small original sticker attached that says"made in Italy" see photos) Each one has a light and they are attached by a nice brass chain. These are rare. The flowers appear to be enameled but i'm not sure. There are two large Magnolia lights/sconces. Each one is approximately 21" tall x 14" wide. The large open flower is 5.5" medium flower is 3.25" and the bud flower is 2.5" There is a 38" brass chain between the two which gives many options for hanging them. The remaining chain is 90" long. The entire green portion is made up of a plastic green base that is made to look like wood. The detail is very intricate. It is now long abandoned, and its countless widows broken. But it wasn’t that long ago that this factory– like countless such factories across America– was teeming with life. And supporting millions of families. This, back when America actually made stuff. It’s amazing enough to find four matching sconces of this style. But that they retain their glass shades is particularly astonishing! They even retain their original mounting buttons! Zounds! I come across these sconces from time to time but they are almost always missing their shades. This style fixture was popular in the late 1920s and through the 1940s. Below each shade is a particularly lovely Hobnail glass bubble. The back-plates are a silvery color with antique highlights(so it’s not a bright silver; more pewter-like) The Hobnail bubble and shades are frosted glass. There are brass components. All this is original. Each sconce has its own on/off switch. The sconces can of course be controlled by a wall switch. The sconces are by VIRDEN and from their New Harwick series. Each wall lamp features a gilded wreath backplate that extends out to a downward facing steeple-like body that ends in a foliate finial. Six beautiful matching antique one arm silver plated sconces with prisms. Dating from the early 1900s. These Neoclassical sconces have a round backplate crowned by an athemion with scrolls and acanthus leaves. The backplate features a decorative border and details of scrolling foliage, acanthus leaves and a center rosette. A fluted U-shaped chandelier arm curves out of the base of the backplate, supporting an acanthus leaf and bead bobeche. Beautiful sparkling icicle prisms hang from the perimeter of the round bobeche. Featured is a fine pair of antique/vintage brass wall candle sconces with clear and frosted glass open top hurricane globe. These sconces begin with ornately patterned oval brass back-plate. The center of the back-plate shows off nice scrolled brass work. The arm leads into a long center-piece. The bottom showcasing nice hatch-patterns that lead into a carved brass finial. The top of the center-piece shows off three levels of curved brass fern-patterned leaves that the shade collar sets within. French Empire Guilded Bronze Sconces
Pair of guilded bronze sconces. French made in the empire style around 1840-1860. See picture of back of sconce. Noting that these were cast from a mold. 15 inches from top of sconce to bottom. Weigh several pounds each. I purchased these over 12 years ago at the Paris Antique Mart in Saint-Quen. Condition of each is excellent. With minimal wear to guilding, no major scratches and no dents. The candleholders in this photo appear to be not straight. However, they are adjustable and when candles are put into the holders, the candles are positioned at a 90 degree angle. These quality sconces of this style and condition usually sell in antique stores for over $2.000 a pair.

This set of 2 is a rare find indeed! They measure 6" in diameter and stand about 3-1/2" from the wall. The distressed look is an original Syroco finish. Although. The paint chipping occurred over time. Leave as is for a true shabby look, or spray paint gold to match your gold clock. Other than the finish wear, one of the sconces has a single ray that has been glued back on. See the last photo for a good close-up. Other than that, this pair is in good shape and free of additional damage or repairs. The sunburst portion is made of wood composite, the stems are metal and the candle cups are wood. Inside shelving area is 4" deep. There are no shelves with it, but there is two brackets for a shelf. On/ Off switch with electrical outlet on the bottom. The wires are snipped, so it will need redone. Outside is a faux wood look with ornate molding and gold colored trim. Light fixtures look to hold standard size bulbs. Gorgeous Antique Italian Florentine Tole lighted sconces with Crystals!!! NO RES
You are bidding on 2 stunning antique Italian Florentine lighted sconces with their original stickers on the back. My camera truly does not show how beautiful these are. The fixtures have gilded scrolling tole leaves and is dripping in dazzling prisms. There are 27 medium crystals. 28 small and 1 large for a total of 58 crystals on each sconce. There are two arms on each holding 2 lights each. It is in very good condition with good wiring. It shows off its age with some slight paint loss. They measures 16" in height from the top of the sconce to the bottom of the end crystal and are 9 1/2 in across Payment is due within 3 days of the auction closing I only ship to the 48 states but would consider elsewhere if contacted first. I’m very pleased to offer this important pair of European circa-1950s sconces. Almost all my lights are American made. But these sconces are without question European, and require European bulbs(I will supply four such bulbs, and forward the NYC contact for additional bulbs) I believe the sconces are ... moreFrench, and date from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The wiring(not by me) is modern, as are the on/off switches(I can replace the white switches with brass ones) The sconces are of high quality. Heavy, and largely made from brass. The center sections feature gorgeous wood veneer panels. The main bodies are mounted to wooden back-plates. I cannot know if these are original, or later additions(so that the sconces can cover modern electrical boxes) The back-plates have a center section in a vellum color; I’m uncertain as to the material, it might be vellum. On the back is some writing in pencil but I cannot read this. Alas. Under each socket housing(quite distinctive in shape) is a glass disk with cut edges. There’s also a glass sphere in the center. Top, of each sconce. I love the curvaceous shape of the arms. The sconces accept silk shades(not included) but also look well without shades(see last image) Impressively scaled. The sconces are 16-inches high(with bulbs and shades) 15-inches wide(with shades) and they project 7-inches. If anyone knows the designer or maker of these stunning fixtures. Please contact me. Four fabulous. Matching, early 20th century interior wall sconces. Backplates are decorated with a hammered finish and flower detail around the perimeter. Wrought arms terminate with an electric candle socket resting in a bud. Sockets appear to be in great condition with original switches, original paint with highlights in green and red.
