The globes are in excellent condition, and measure 6 1/4" tall. These came from an estate, and so I am not sure of their age or origin or history; so please look closely and use your own judgment. There is a lot of nice detail. These are both in good, solid condition with just light normal wear. They need to be polished and I'll leave that to the new owner. They would look great on any wall. There are 4 cracked flowers and about 7 missing in all on both pieces, but they could be replaced. I think that these might have been made in the 1970's to the 1980's or so. They are newly wired and have screw holes in the back plate for mounting them. Each Sconce measures approximately 7 1/2" high(from the bottom of the gas burner, to the highest part of the light) and will stand out from the wall about 10" to the edge of the shade holder) The shade holder measures about 3 1/2" in diameter and has a spring type holder for the shade(see photo) They are both in very good condition with a nice old patina on the brass that shows some wear but still looks wonderful! This is a great pair of vintage horse& cowboy themed wall sconces. They are in working order. Wooden bases with copper horse& horseshoe attached. The wooden base is about 6" in diameter. Uses a regular size light bulb. The shades clip on to the bulbs and are 6" tall. Shades have some light discoloration. But overall still usable. 2 Fabulous Antique Bronze Wall Sconces w/Cherubs-13" - 10 lbs. ea.
Description These are two antique bronze wall sconces with cherubs. They are not exactly the same. The cherubs are sitting on a scalloped base with leaves on one and leaves and a bird on the other. Please check the pictures to see all the differences. The two arms are a darker bronze. I don't know if they are original to the pieces or were added. I purchased them at an estate sale on the north shore of Long Island. Each measures 13" wide and 12" tall. They have been rewired and are in working condition but as with any electrical item they should be checked before installation as wires or screws can loosen during shipping. There is a small ledge on the back so they could sit on a thin board and be wired directly in the wall. Great and unusual decorative accents for any room setting. I have shown a picture of the back. The woman who sold them told me they were art deco but I believe the style is more art nouveau with the swirling curves. They are a very superb pair of sconces made of brass and are very solid and weigh over a pound. The mounting plates have a hammered texture and the rest of the sconces have a smooth surface. I have not polished them and have left the original patina. I only cleaned out the old candle was residue although there is still some left. The back of the mounting plates are marked Ges Gesch 21. this is a rare electrified cherubs Italian/ French Rococo wall sconce set in wrought iron. Late 1800s I was told, in great shape, both sconces light up very nice, the porcelain cherubs both hang on to their metal bases and are removable, porcelains have minor little nicks, no missing fingers or toes, patina in very good shape, they both measure; 18" high x 14" wide, cherubs measure; 9" x 7" wide.

The glass is quite thin, and has delicate designs cut(not frosted) into the glass. The effect is obvious in person and really striking. The shades are banded by pale gold/nutmeg frosting. Nice. I also like the lovely scalloped bottom edges. Like most stamped brass Pan fixtures of the era. This chandelier was painted originally. I have renewed the original nutmeg color. The sconces are now bare brass(how I found them) I can paint them to match the chandelier or ship them As Is. Please also note the two sweet finials on the chandelier(one on the canopy and the other on the Pan body) I love these type of small. Intact details. The wiring is new of course and cloth-covered like the original. For the hardware geek: On the chandelier. The shades are not held in place by the standard three screws but rather with an ingenious flexible thingy. You push two little eyelets together, slip the shade in, and let go. Cool. ANTIQUE / VINTAGE PAIR OF BRONZE BRASS 2 LIGHT ART DECO WALL SCONCES
For your bidding is a gorgeous pair of Art Deco 2 Light wall sconces. The backs which are 7" in diameter are brass grating with a brass plate in the back that has been painted white. Each sconce has two lights/candles that are 6 1/2" tall with the original sleeves and pull changes to turn on and off(all working) The total length of each sconce is 9 1/2" The arms of the lights have swirled detailed designs and reach out 6 1/2" from the wall. The back plates of the sconces are held on by three nuts. There is a metal bar in which to hang them. They have the original wiring which looks to be in good condition. All parts are originals. There is a small amount of paint residue from years of remodels around the back edge of the lights that can easily be removed. The detail is fabulous and they are a real statement piece. The frames are in exceptional condition with very little in the way of wear. The mirrors are however replacements and in our opinion haven't been fitted particularly well with only a silicon fixing. The mirrors could be easily replaced if required. A properly fitted piece of antique glass would increase the value of these sconces considerably. That said this can only be seen when they are off the wall and are beautiful even as they are. Beautiful pair of antique hand-carved wooden wall decor/sconces. These were recently pulled from my late grandmother's shed that we have been cleaning out slowly but surely. They look to be very old, but I'm not sure of their origin or exact age. She was an antique hunter from way back, and collected a ton of things over the years. My Grandfather thinks he remembered her saying that these originally had busts of different Spanish Conquistadors atop each sconce, which would make since because there are holes where nails would have held something to the top of each. One of them is labeled"Conquista Del Peru" and the other"Conquista De Mejico"or"Conquest of Peru/Mexico" The spelling of"Mejico" is from Spanish origin from what I've read. Later changed to"Mexico" These were obviously ... moredecor pieces meant to celebrate the Spanish Empire during the 16th and 17th century. As you can see from the pictures. They have some condition issues. Paint wear and wood chipping, as well as rough breaks at the bottom tips where it looks like something used to be there. Each sconce is 2 pieces. One of them has the top piece intact, but has separated a bit(held in by 2 nails that don't look modern.see pictures) The other's top is completely loose. Each sconce measures about 19" tall x 8" wide. I wish that I knew more about their origin or specifics on potential value.but my knowledge is not that of my late Grandmother.
