Up for bids is this Antique c.1900 Meiji Era Finely Painted Women Satsuma Porcelain Miniature Teapot. This miniature Satsuma teapot was made during the Meiji Era right around 1900. This piece is finely gilt with decorations and flowers. One side of the teapot is painted with 4 Geishas and a child and the other is painted with flowers. The bottom is signed with Japanese characters. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, breaks, or repairs. This piece measures 3 1/4" from spout to handle, 2 1/4" in diameter, and 1 7/8" It is remarkable how well detailed the painting is on this piece seeing how small it is. Lovely elegant old antique Japanese Satsuma tea set and dessert or luncheon 26 piece service for 8. Green. Lilac, black and gold trim with gold intermingled throught out. Hand painted heavy gold trimmed set. Set consists of tea pot with lid, covered sugar, 8 tea cups, 8 saucers, 8 plates. Each plate measures a little over 7" in diameter. Saucers are 5 1/4" in diameter and cups are 2" in height. There are no nicks, chips, or cracks but this old set has age crazing and some"staining" on the pieces. Gorgeous antique Satsuma salt and pepper shakers! All hand painted and beaded. These are unbelievably beautiful. Delicate portraits of people cooking(I think) tons of black, gold and white beading, very very ornate. You can tell they are hand made by looking at the holes in the tops of the shakers. In pic 2 it looks like a signature, just stunning! 3 1/4" tall, 2 1/4" across the base and 1 1/2" across the top. The pepper body is more a more smooth design, while the salt body is more of a scalloped design. I've never seen any like these. In very good vintage condition. SATSUMA JAPANESE VASE LARGE FLORAL VASE WITH 24K GOLD ETCHING
Satsuma Vase from Japan. It measures 10" Tall. 14" around, has a 3" opening at the top and is 10" in depth. It is a nice sized mid-century vintage vase. It is hand painted with Chrysanthemum flowers and edged in 24K gold. It has beautiful detailing around the base and the top of the vase. I have seen the same pattern on other Satsuma pieces. There is also Japanese lettering on the back(I haven't a clue what it says) And it is also stamped on the bottom of the vase. The vase weighs 1.75 lbs. Unfortunately. I can't sell it for what it is really worth due to the condition.

Japanese Satsuma Cup or Mug Gilded Chrysanthemums
Japanese satsuma cup or mug is decorated with chrysanthemums with extensive gold detailing. Cup measures 4" tall and 12" around the middle. There is a small spot of dark crazing but I don't see or feel any small chips that might have caused it and it appears to be under the glaze. Since the back has Bill and Cecile in gold I thought it would be a nice little vase type container for flowers. There is some darkening to the mug not uncommon for this type of satsuma pottery. Vintage Satsuma Moriage Elephant Teapot Blackamoor Top made in Japan
Neat old elephant shaped teapot has partial stamp"Made in Japan" in black on bottom of foot. About 8.5" front to back by 4.5" across by 8.5" high including handle. The lid has a blackamoor figure sitting on it. The handle is made from bamboo type material. There is a small strand that has come loose. Bright and colorful, probably made in the 1920 to 1940 range. Good condition with no major flaws, doesn't look to have been used much.

This is an EXCELLENT reproduction of a satsuma style porcelain egg with moriaging. It does have some damage in the paint but not the porcelain itself. The scene on the front depicts three female Japanese musicians. They may be Geishas. The one on the far left appears to be playing the flute. The one in the center appears to be playing a Japanese shamisen. The one on the far right. I really can't tell that she is playing an instrument at all. She may be a vocalist. This vintage Japanese teapot is from the 1920's. The Satsuma Elephant Porcelain is painted with Moriage enamel. The surface and paint are excellent especially for an item which will soon be 100 years old! It measures 10 inches from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. It is 8 inches tall and just under 5 inches wide. It does have flaws- two non-visible chips and a repair which didn't last. This repair was not done by us. But by the previous owner. Vintage Japanese Satsuma Style Lidded Ginger Jar. Beautifully painted in delicate colours of pinks and greens with bold gilt embellishments. The two peacocks are heavily embellished with gilt. All pattering is raised to the touch. The top rim. Lid rim and knob are also gilt. The jar is in very good condition with no signs of rubbing on any area, there is however, crazing throughout the glazing. Almost makes me wonder if it is deliberate. There are no chips or cracks. Old Satsuma Dessert Set, Fuit or Berries, Hand Painted, Gorgeous!
For your consideration we offer an old Satsuma berry set. A master serving bowl and four individual bowls. Wonderfully decorated in blues and golds with hints of peach. This is a very elegant and dramatic set. Lavish raised gilding. Delicately scalloped edges, enameled renderings of chrysanthemums and a beautiful brocade border compete with gilded reserves of phoenix birds and dragons. Master bowl is 9 3/4" in diameter. And 2" high on a nice foot ring. The individual bowls are 5.75" in diameter and similarly decorated. There is a small chip on the edge of the master bowl which we have tried to picture for you.
