It is masterfully hand quilted at 8-9 stitches per inch. It has a quilted double chain pattern with some diamond grid work. It is hand appliqued. It is hand bound. It measures 83" x 81" This quilt still looks good even with the little wear that it has. There are several spots/marks ranging from pin dot to quarter size. Most are quite light, one small surface tear, a couple light pops on the white background, light foxing at one end and mostly in the corner, some spotting on the back, also on the back there is a line of spotting, not seen from the front(See photos. It is hand bound. It measures 74" x 61 1/2" This quilt is in very good condition. There is some spotting/age tanning. Mostly in and around one corner as shown in the photos, the spotting kind of blends in. See photos. This is an 1800's American crazy quilt that is in excellent condition and very solid considering its age. The patchwork side features a vast array of colorful materials sewn together with amazing craftsmanship. The 2 ends that are 35" Are of a dark brown,velvet material. The edges of the entire quilt are of a lighter brown with the back side holding a glowing gold color. The length of the quilt is 70.5" with the width being 35" Includes patchwork with writing that indicates its time period. You're looking at 3/4 of a super neat and happy and fine condition 1940's antique quilt from Cherokee County. S.C. all cotton, measures 64" x 82" will work for twin or double bed depending on how you turn it; and would be an excellent hanging. All by hand, stitchery is in the Southern rural favorite"Ocean Waves" and note the meticulous manner maker dealt with the sashing, border(both in same fabric) and connectors in sashing(which are all a burgundy fabric) ~ you will notice this in pics. Batting feels like an old blanket was used, and there are no gaps around sides, as occasionally happens when blanket is too small. Really a great quilt, in excellent+ condition. I found 2 faintest tannish small spots on backing, which is a light gray. Barrister Block Lawyers Puzzle Scrappy Fabric Lap Quilt Top

The pattern is called Barristers block or Lawyers Puzzle and is made from a creme on creme background and scrappy fabrics. There are four squares per block with navy sashing between the blocks. There are 36 squares, four to a block measuring 7 1/2" each and the 9 blocks measure 15" each. There is a navy and white floral 6" outside border. Antique hand sewn crazy quilt. 100% cotton, Multi colored, 67" by 57"
Awesome crazy quilt. Super thick and warm! Has a couple of small seam tears(see closeups) that would be simple to repair. It is a bit of an odd size. Only 10 inches longer than it is wide. There is some discoloration on the back, not sure what it is may soak out easily. I can see what looks like another quilt pattern under this one. Yes! There definitely is! I see dark blue and pink as well as other colors but can just barely get a peek through the tiny seam rips and can also see something through the white parts of the outer design. Ooooooh! This is driving me crazy. I wish i could see more but I wont damage the quilt to see. Please whoever wins this one let me know what is inside if you are able to get a better look. This is a very warm and fairly heavy quilt. It has white edging about 3/4" wide.

This is a wonderful. Highly sought after signature/church quilt with an address from Bloomington, IL embroidered on the quilt. It is all hand stitched and had quilted. It is dated 1932. The quilt is in wonderful condition with a small tear on the underside of the textile. I have owned it for approximately 45 years and have never used it. It has been stored in a trunk in my non-smoking home. Quilts such as these are highly sought after by antique dealers and collectors. This is truly one of a kind.

Then, thrifty souls, Their quilts would live in pictured history. Irene F. Cohen This quilt among several other heirloom quilts came from the estate of Ireta A. Dentinger of Bloomville. Ohio(Feb. 8, 1933- January 4, 2014) Her grandmother, Laura Ellen Ohl Broede made them(December 13, 1872 December 8, 1938) Their ancestors sailed to the USA from Germany in the early to mid 1800's& settled in& around Bloomville, Ohio. This quilt is absolutely fabulous! The pattern name is called"Trail of the Covered Wagon" Very similar to Jacob's Ladder, The Railroad, Tail of Benjamin's Kite, Road to California. These ... moreother patterns run in an opposite direction but this pattern is slightly different. The squares& triangles are pieced from the top left corner to the lower right corner. Two color quilts are always fascinating to look at& this one certainly does that ~ made with 100% cotton with a beige backing with the darkest eggplant color. It's beautiful! The best color depiction can be seen in picture#3. It was made in the 1920's& has been well-cared for ever since. There are no rips, tears or holes, no stains& no fraying. The quilting is as perfect as I've seen. a small 1" grid design, diagonal lines& those wonderful"spider webbed" blocks. all done with the tiniest& tightest of stitches with 9 spi. The quilt has never been laundered, nor does it need to be now. There are very, very faint pencil trace lines but put your bifocals on to see them! This is a large quilt with thin all cotton batting ~ measures 94" x 79" This quilt truly is an heirloom to be treasured for many. Many years to come. This is a wonderful 1939 Friendship Quilt hand done and signed by a group of quilters back in 1939. It is a heavier weight cotton textile. The display it presents when on a bed or wall hanging. Appears to take on the form of a fireworks display in the patriotic colors of red, white and blue. I have owned this quilt for over 40 years and have never used it. It has been stored in an antique linen cupboard in a non-smoking home. It is a great quilt to display, with the quilted signatures as well as the date. These signature quilts are highly sought after by dealers and collectors world wide. This particular textile is in wonderful condition with no rips, tears, stains or odors. When I bought it, I was told it was never used once completed. A truly one of a kind item.

Antique Primitive Hand Stitched Quilt in Old Barn Wood Frame One of Kind Artwork
Antique 1900s Hand Made ~ Hand Stitched Quilt Framed in Old Antique Barn Wood Frame This is for an antique handmade. Hand stitched 1900s quilt. Gorgeous old fabrics that were completely hand stitched with an approximately 8 stitches per inch. This quilt is made with very old fabrics and they are laid out in a lovely primitive cottage design. This is a piece cut from a larger antique quilt. It was later framed using authentic old, antique barn wood. The frame was hand made. I wrapped the quilt piece around a thick sturdy board, a thick paper board that is used in the framer's world, it will not warp or fall apart, yet it is sturdy and strong. Will not warp or bend. The quilt is wrapped around this board and attached to the back of the frame. This allows this unique piece of artwork to not weigh so much. No glass. Just the item in the frame ... morefor a real authentic primitive look. See all photos and ask questions if needed. Measures as follows: 25 1/4" x 21 1/4" x 1" deep. The frame has a little border to it. It can be hung horizontally or vertically. It does not matter, the quilt pattern allows for it. Condition: Frame is in excellent condition. It is made from antique barn wood and like all barn wood it has its slight imperfections that is what is unique about it. We did, however, pick out the best pieces to make the frame and we did smooth it out so you will not get splinters when handling the piece. The quilt is also in excellent antique condition. We chose from a batch that was not heavily worn or damaged. However. There are some areas of the quilt where a piece or two is slightly lifted and the fabrics may be slightly worn down. Fun-loving 60's"novelty" of polyester. Note: This appears to have rarely been used. Was purchased at an estate sale with a small note attached, indicating: roof leak- water-rings on back etc. So, though this appears to have never rarely used, there is an indication on the back that it was the"recipient" of a little rain-shower, as pictured in photo No. 6. It's a"mid-century" quilt which was creatively machine stitched, displayed by its owner on a bed in her home and then put away for the remaining years. and, as mentioned, subsequently sold by an heir. It measures roughly 92" by 73" and has a couple threads straying in the loops; otherwise, it has no damage that I can find. This is upbeat!

Here's a vintage patchwork doll quilt that I cut from an old quilt and then I hand-stitched light green bias tape around the edges. It is in good condition with normal wear for an old quilt so it may have a stain. Hole or tear in fabric from age. The bias tape border has some dark spots on it in places. It is about 19 1/2" long by 19" wide. The smallest squares are about 1 1/4" wide. You could use this as a small table runner if you don't want to use it as a doll quilt. RARE& Unusual Vintage Antique WWII Airplanes Fighter Planes Flag Fabric QUILT This lovely quilt was all handmade in the 30's-early 40's WWII fighter plane quilt made up of many airplane propellers. Most of the propellers are made up of feedsack and flag fabrics all cotton and a few aqua remnants of a knit type of fabric. Unusual and rare pattern hard to find. Pink grid, soft pink backing med to light weight, great for a Spring porch swing as shown in the pic's. This is the only one of this kind I've ever seen and I've seen many quilts from the 30's a must have for any true collector of fine vintage and antique quilts. The condition is best, very good quality throughout, all hand quilted at 8-9 stitches per inch. We are listing many quilts this week but this one is very rare and unusual and hard to find! Vintage Quilt Handmade Child's Size Worn and Shabby, Has Embroidered Pieces
This vintage. Handmade child's quilt is charmingly shabby and worn. The front is made up of patchwork squares, some white and some in small prints and solid colors. There are several squares with embroidered designs.a dog jumping through a hoop, Humpty Dumpty, a bear in a hat, a kitten in a hat, and more. Some of the embroidery is very worn, as is the quilt. The back of the quilt is solid white with quilted stitching. It measures 54 inches by 39 1/2 inches. It is marked with the name"Jason Adam Martin" and the date"April 13, 1976. Vintage JACOB'S LADDER Quilt Cutter or Repair 66" x 88"
VINTAGE JACOB'S LADDER QUILT This quilt is most likely from the 1940's or early 1950's. The material used is all cotton and the batting is cotton. Some of the pieces are feed sack material. It's hand quilted and the stitches are about 5- 6 per inch. We just got it recently at an estate auction that had clean merchandise. It has no off-odors. The blocks measure about 10" x 10" You could use it as a cutter. But the places with wear aren't on the main part of the quilt, but on the pillow end and the foot end(see pictures 5 and 6) The size is approximately 66" x 88" We search many estate auctions in our area to find special one-of-a-kind and vintage items. This is a gorgeous hand made quilt purchased from an elderly gentlemen. He said his mother had hand made it many years ago. It measures aprx 69" x 63" wide. It appears that at least some of the material used was from feedsacks. There are a few places where she used a light yellow color instead of white. I have show this is a couple of close-ups. I saw no holes. Tears, or stains. Please view pictures and judge the condition for yourself before bidding. Amish Hand made Twin XL quilt or bedspread, white on white, vintage ex. cond.
Beautiful White on White Quilted Bedcover/Bedspread/Quilt(Made by my Amish grandmother many years ago) made by my grandmother. Who was an excellent quilter(made approximately 40 years ago) white on white design with intricate designs(see all photos) measures 98" long x 78" wide(fits a twin x-long bed as a bedspread) will also fit a double bed if used as a quilt(just comes down not as far) quilt has been freshly laundered and is in great condition(can't see any spots. But if there are any, they are very light) quilt has been stored in a cedar closet. So they are well-preserved photo#5 shows bottom edges have been mitered(turned up and stitched) to avoid tripping on the edged. PLEASE NOTE: Check out photo#6 to see the patch on the overhang side of the quilt a few inches from the edge. There was a small hole. Which is now covered ... moreby a 2" x 1 1/2" patch. The patch is hard to spot and does not detract from the rest of the quilt.
