Lovely aged off-white toned ground, purples, lovely soft country green, and rusty red ~ This textile is backed in a homespun linen and there is a light cotton batting between the layers. This piece is 100% hand stitched and hand quilted. Antique Oak Doll Bed and Quilt
This auction is for a wonderful vintage oak doll bed with its original doll quilt and it is a real beauty. It measures 13" long x 10" wide and the headboard is 10 3/4" tall and the footboard is 7 3/4" tall. I can't say enough about how pretty this lovely doll bed is in person and the oak wood has some pretty blonde streaks running through it and this old bed displays so beautifully. It is in very nice condition except it has some nicks and a little bit of wear around the edges- in other words age appropriate wear and tear) but it has survived beautifully. It also comes with a thin little off-white mattress and a matching rectangular pillow that has an embroidered sewn on pillow cover with pretty lace trim- and it also comes with its original doll quilt which has some lovely flowered squares and it measures almost 17" ... morex 12" and it has one square on one of the corners that looks like it has yellowed with age- and as you can see I have this old quilt folded over and set down on the mattress so that as much of the pretty oak wood as possible shows because it is so beautiful. This oak doll bed& quilt are a great find and it does not take up much space and it displays really well- it is such a great find! I have more old doll beds to list.

The background color is white with yellow jointing, and the bottom is a yellow multi color floral, Completely hand stitched in very neat stitches has a scalloped hemline on 2 sides, with a yellow hand stitched binding. Has a very pretty drape, The quilt is light in weight. I have had this quilt for years and only used as a bed topper. It has been very well taken care of by me. It is in great condition. Vintage Antique Lancaster County Quilt Folk Art Grandmother's Garden Flowers
Up for auction is an antique turn of the century red. Green and white plain fabric patchwork quilt recently found at auction in Lancaster County PA. It measures 80 x 80" It would need much attention as there are stains and a few holes, the edging has holes throughout. The biggest issue is the fact that it was batted with a felt material that has shrunk(most likely from a hot water wash in its past) so all the batting is now a circle of shrunken felt independent in each hand sewn section. The backing would need to come off to fix that but that solves the issues with the back stains and holes in the edging. Holes throughout the red edging material. But from the looks it will be a serious spot cleaning to the front or a replacement of the white background. It smells clean. Seems free of dust but stains will need attention. Antique Vintage Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt 1930s Feedsack 77" x 88"
Fabulous antique handmade quilt 1930s"Grandmother's Flower Garden" Measures approx. 77" x 88" White background. Scalloped edge on all 4 sides with dark green piping all the way around. The back side is solid white. This quilt is entirely hand-stitched. I had difficulty counting the stitches because they are so small but appear to be approx. 9- 10 stitches per inch. This is simply beautiful and the colors are still bright. The only things I could find were a couple of very tiny light brown spots on the front which I have tried to show in photos 6& 7. There are also several brown spots on the back of the quilt that are shown in the last photo. These spots do not show through on the front. The largest on the back is about the size of a quarter.

1898-1900 Grandmother's Flower Garden Lge 99"x84" Hand-Stitched Hexagon Quilt,
The Grandmother's Flower Garden(in earliest times called a Honeycomb. Mosaic, or Six-Sided Patchwork) is one of the best-loved quilt patterns in vintage and antique quilts. The highest quality examples, such as this one, are very labor intensive, pieced and quilted by hand. Very few new ones are made, and it's no wonder! My friend's grandmother(Eva Rowley b. 1883, d. 1965) made this quilt for her dowry at about age 14-16. She was from Utah and came to California at age 16 and married at age 17. This quilt has undoubtedly been stored in the cedar chest my friend showed me for most of it's life- we cannot find a stain or rust mark. Furthermore, it's large size is unique- a full 99" long and 84" wide and with a full straight-edged border in green, then a narrow band of white. Note that each hexagon is bordered in ... moregreen and touches the next piece, and the green is the same green that borders the edges of the quilt. The stitching is tight and precise, showing 8-9 stitches per inch, and the selection of fabrics so carefully selected to highlight each hexagon. The pattern is intricate and precisely carried out. The back, as shown in the photos, is all white. A long-time quilting with expertise said it was the nicest of this pattern she had seen. The quilt dates from approximately 1898-1900 according to family history. Handed down over the years, it appears to have been used very seldom, and so carefully protected for more than a century! Artistic Accents Full/Queen Multicolor Quilt Bedspread Handmade
Beautiful quilt from Artistic Accents. Will be shipped in original packaging. It's only been taken out and washed on delicate so it's in almost new condition. I couldn't return it after washing it and I decided it is too big for the bed it was bought for, it hangs too long, so I decided to sell it. It's a medium/light material with a soft feel and really nice multi colors on the top, the bottom(backing) of the quilt is a nice dark brown. And so Great-Grandma fashioned deftly a quilt of cheerful hues, And sewed with tiny stitches the pinks. And grays, and blues. Elizabeth Crawford Yates This quilt among several other heirloom quilts that I have listed came from the estate of Ireta A. Dentinger of Bloomville. Ohio(Feb. 8, 1933- January 4, 2014) Her grandmother, Laura Ellen Ohl Broede made them(December 13, 1872 December 8, 1938) Their ancestors sailed to the US from Germany in the early to mid 1800's& settled in& around Bloomville, Ohio. Ireta certainly knew how to take care of the quilts that were handed down through the generations. This one is mint! There are no rips, tears or holes, no ... morestains& no fraying. You can still see the faint pencil trace lines in the cinnamon blocks! It measures 75" x 65" Made with 100% cotton fabrics in those great old prints from the early 1900's ~ the backing is cinnamon with tiny cranberry-colored dots& the patterned blocks are made up with several different cadet blue prints along with black& beige prints. Cranberry, red& black plaid, blues& whites& there's a fantastic print in black, blue, white& gold& yellows! The fabrics/colors are as vibrant as they were over 100 years ago. As with all of her grandmother's quilts, the back is made with a thin flannel; and the quilt has thin all cotton batting. It's superbly quilted with 8 spi ~ small, tight& even stitches. The borders are quilted in diagonal lines, as are the patterned blocks. The cinnamon blocks are quilted in circles with grid centers. The pattern is called"Garden Patch" She pieced this quilt entirely by hand ~ Each block contains 32 pieces, the quilt was made with 3456 pieces, not including the borders ~ that's a lot of hand piecing! It measures 86" x 69" is is very good condition with no rips, tears or holes, no stains. The binding is beginning to fray. It's made with 100% cotton& tons of those wonderful feed ... moresack fabrics from the 1930's. This interesting patterned Red& Green Applique quilt dates to the 1860's. With some earlier fabrics. Each block has an early Turkey red fabric with tiny yellow dots and a black print(the black acidic print caused the reds to deterioriate) and a dark red and black print on green. Both fabrics are hand applied to a bright white background. The quilt also has a sawtooth frame using the same green fabric. The quilt measures 98" x 78" has a very thin cotton batting with seed fragments, a hand applied binding, and a bright white back. Fabulous hand quilting includes triple angle quilting across each applique block, diamond and feather wreaths on the background, outline quilting on and around each sawtooth piece, and running feather quilting on the borders@ 13 very neat and very tiny stitches per inch counting one side only. Antique Quilt Top Hand Pieced Scrappy and Strippy Smoky Mtns TN Hand Sewn
Vintage/antique quilt top from Eastern TN. Small blocks of strippy/scrappy pieces. All hand sewn and sewn onto an individual backing square Lots of red. About 71 inches by 78 inches Well sewn and holding together well. all by hand. backing squares are different colors too. The fifth picture from my count shows the left hand corner and looking to the right from there 3 blocks over and one up you can see a strip that is torn or come loose. the backing is visible underneath. Also the last photo where is red the seam is partly unraveled for about an inch or less. Let me know if you have any questions.
