This is a nice looking and all original condition hand sewn quilt from the 1860-70s era.features a design with 8 point star patterns and is mostly in fall colors-brown/orange etc.the quilt is in nice shape basically but does have wear on the outer border panels-there is fabric wear and a hole in the border.the rest of the quilt is fine with no excessive wear or damages/stains.its really nice and just needs a little restoration or use it for projects.its been carefully stored away and there is normal age smell to fabric-no moth ball odor.measures 86" x 76"looks and displays well and is guaranteed old and authentic. On two of the baskets, she appliqued the handles with an early blue shirting print instead of the indigo. The triangle pieces measure 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" There is a rod pocket at the top on the back. Easy to hang! It is beautifully hand quilted at 8-9 stitches per inch. It has treadle appliqued basket handles. It is treadle bound. It measures 64" L x 79" W This quilt is in good condition but not perfect. There are two surface tears in one corner about 1 1/4" long. There are several spots throughout ranging from pin dot to about pea size, there is light pindot holes in some of the indigo prints from the caustic print process, and there ... moreis some very light binding wear. There are also a couple spots about palm size on the back that lightly come through to the front and there is also some extremely light tanning on the front and back, all of which was too light to photograph. Antique 1880s Embroidered Velvet/Silk Crazy Quilt IOOF Odd Fellows Rooster 78x67
You are bidding on one gorgeous 1800s crazy quilt. This quilt has the makers initials and the year it was started-1883 and the year it was finished-1884. There are also initials and a stitched little boy as well and IOOF-International Order of Odd Fellows and the 3 linked rings used by Odd Fellows. There are SO many gorgeous embroidered and appliqued designs-I can't picture them all due to the picture limit! I love the rooster! This quilt is made from silk. Velvet, and other fabrics. Most of the silk pieces are shattered due to the age, but there are no odors-this piece displays very well. The back is a red fabric and has some faded spots. One edged has been replaced with a cream colored fabric and there is one small(less than 1" L shaped tear on the back. This quilt measures 78" x 67" Thanks for looking! Vintage VERY OLD 100% Cotton TURKEY RED Quilt: ROLLING STONE, JOSEPH'S COAT
The quilt measures approximately 91" by 77" The bed in the photos is a queen size. And it measures 80" by 60" The quilt seems to fit nicely this size of bed. It has almost no batting. Just maybe a thin layer of the old cotton batting. Not much. It is a bedspread, or it was made to hang it and use it as decoration. It is not a comforter for sure. The fabrics are all cotton. And very old cotton, including the'red turkey" dyed swatches. We have no idea if the quilt is from the 20th century or from the previous century. The setting was all done by hand, and the diamond quilting was also done by hand. The pattern is called"Rolling Stone" in our"dictionary" of quilts. It is also called"Joseph's Coat" Block Circle" and"Johnnie-Round-The-Corner" Our books says this pattern ... morewas described in"Early American Quilts" page 14, as well as in Ladies Art Company(pattern# 216) and in"The Romance of the Patchwork Quilt in America" Old quilts like this one made of"Turkey red" dyed fabric and tightly quilted by hand in this particular diamond pattern are reported as part of"quilt masterpieces" in another book we have. But not in this particular pattern. The book show more complicated geometrical patterns. Vintage All Cotton Hand Sewn QUILT in "TURTLE" Pattern, 79" x 62"
We are not sue if this pattern is actually called"Turtle" or something else. The shapes of turtles in it seem to be a secondary pattern. Not the primary one, but we are not truly sure. We are not quilters or collectors, and no experts certainly, we just go for a"dictionary of quilts" that we use to describe the quilts we sell, and this particular pattern is not in that book. The quilt measures 79" by 62" Give or take. The bed in the photos is a queen size, 80" by 60" It is made of 100% cotton fabrics. But they don't look like feed sack cottons to us. Old, but not feed sack. Of course, again, no experts here, we might be wrong about that. This is a beautiful. Old applique, quilted by hand, but set with a sewing machine. The appliques were sewn by hand, as well. The applique is certainly a flower, but we are not sure which one. It looks like an orchid to us, but please check the photos and you be the judge. Because we are not sure which is the top side and the bottom side of this flower-applique. We took pics of the quilt with the flower in both possible directions; most of the pics are of the quilt"pointing" one way, the couple of pics at the very end you'll see how the quilt looks with the appliques"pointing" otherwise. This lovely antique crazy quilt has a beautiful variety hand embroidery stitches. It is in excellent condition and does not look like it has been used very much. There are no worn areas. All of the satin and silk fabrics are free of splits. The backing is a small light green and white check and it is attached to the top only at the edges. There are many cotton fabrics in it also. It is clean and odor free, it is 67 by 86 inches.

STURDY cotton 20's/30's trip around the world quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a wonderful concentric design and scalloped edge. It measures a generous 82" X 84" and is in MINT. UNWASHED condition, with a couple of small, faint age spots that should come out in this one's first wash, and no wear. There are unusual pinwheel designs quilted in each square throughout at an even 8 stitches to the inch. With faint pencil marks still visible in places. The back is white. The hand stitched binding is solid blue, and the batting is thin. The photos just don't do justice to this WELL EXECUTED vintage CLASSIC in REMARKABLE. UNUSED CONDITION- it's even more impressive in real life!

This pieced and appliqued floral quilt has been in my family for generations. At one point it was owned by my great. Great aunt, Bessie Battle Lee who, I'm told, descended from Gen. Robert E. Lee. The Lee side of the family stretches to Richard Henry Lee who signed the Declaration of Independence. The Dutch side stretches even further, to the first settlers who founded New Amsterdam. One of my ancestors had a farm on Manhattan Island! So the quilt has a long. Illustrative history throughout the Republic. The green sashing and floral appliques are all hand stitched. The blocks are typical of quilts from this era. As is the binding. A true American heirloom. Fit for the finest of homes.

This quilt is in wonderful. Strong, as found condition. This quilt is reminiscent of a very grand and regal period when quilters had time to skillfully finish a quilt. Some fading. Some thinning of material, completely covered with surface staining, this quilt needs a soaking badly. The size is a generous 90-1/2" x 78-1/2" The quilt would work equally well on a full or a queen-sized bed and is in fair. Unwashed condition, with many occasional tiny, faint age spot that will come out in this one's first wash. I have photographed some of the small minor stains and the faint fold marks from years ... moreof being folded unused. There are hand done stitching. Throughout at 6 stitches to the inch. The back is white and the batting is thin. I have not washed this quilt. I have a nice collection of other antique quilts located in MY STORE. Some of the embroidered names are Lillie Holmes. Lydia Struble, Mamie Nicholas, and Etta Mae Wagner. The quilt measures approximately 75" X 85" It is in very good condition. I have seen no holes or fabric deterioration. There are a few age spots. The top appears to have been assembled by hand. The hand-sewn quilting stitches average 16 stitches per inch, counting both the top and bottom stitches. The quilting design in the setting blocks was probably from drawing around teacups. They interlock forming a Double Wedding Ring effect. The backing is the same white as the top. The batt is thin and flat. This lovely quilt would ... moremake an excellent addition to any collection. The patches were made with cotton scraps including a bright blue strip with a floral center on a chocolate brown print with colorful florals. And it's counterpart on an olive green ground used for a few pieces and for the frame, with a creamy white for the background. The striped pattern makes this ordinary Album Patch extraordinary! Measuring 85" x 73" it has a thin cotton batting with seed fragments, a hand applied pink floral on tan binding, and a creamy white back. HAND QUILTED with outline quilting around the Album Patches. Angle and diamond quilting on the pieces, Chevron quilting radiating outward from the white blocks making square centers, and diamond quilting on the border blocks, frame and borders@ 6 to ... more7 stitches per inch. Handmade Quilt-Asian Design on One Side, Pieced Design on the Other- 45 by 29
I have a lovely quilt made by a noted area quilter. One side has a machine appliqued Asian style design featuring a variety of animals and fan designs(Picture 1) The center motifs feature pandas. The other side(Picture 2) is a more conventional pieced design using a variety of materials. With a handmade felt applique in the middle of each block. Measures 29" wide and 45 inches high. Rather stiff(it might be paper pieced) so I think this would be better as a wall hanging.

Vintage Janlynn Mice Babies Baby Quilt complete kit
This kit is not in production any more. This kit is in great shape. The package is older but the quilt is basically new. There is one small dust spot on the top where the package is open. It should wash out with no problem(after the quilt is done) This kit has the blue stamped design, all floss, and charts for the quilt. It is 50% cotton, 50% polyester, prefinished, 6 strand cotton floss, 34 x 43 inches. I have had this kit for years and will never do it, so I hope someone will enjoy this for their little one. I believe this kit is from 1999, but not sure. Non smoking home, no odors.
