Large 42" x 52" Baby multi purpose quilt or wall hanging. Has seam tag with content and care. Made in China, imported by C& F Enterprises. The appliques are machine embroidered onto the backing. The filling is polyester fiber. The quilting is hand stitched in a pattern of squares and around the appliques(See photo of back of quilt. The entire alphabet is not present. Each letter that is represented has an applique that corresponds. Navy outer edge, red and white gingham border, then forest green strip, then white background with appliques. Excellent condition. Going by the size I do think it's a double saddle blanket though. It is wool. It's antique. It's hand woven and it excellent condition for it's age. I do not know who made it. I think. Judging by the colors, it is going to date in the 1880 range or earlier. But please look it up and make your own call as to age. Each one of these made was unique to the maker, so I can guarantee that I have the only one like it on ebay. A one of a kind hand made weaving. I just love the colors, they are a muted shade. Very unique! I think, during that period, they used vegetable dyes. It measures 62 x 38 1/2 inches. It has not been cleaned. I saw a few hairs on it(not many) A good shaking outside ... moreshould fix it up nicely. You could also use your vacuum hand tool on it. It does not smell. Antique double wedding ring hand made quilt early 1900s Ohio full size
A beautiful example of the double wedding ring design. This quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted in central Ohio in the early 1900s. This quilt has had minimal use and is still in good condition. The quilting is well done. As seen in the close up photos. All four edges are scalloped, carrying through the ring band design. There is a variety of colors and patterns used in the pieces, but overall the quilt appears more pastel than bright colors. Condition: Good used vintage-antique condition. No tears. Holes, or areas where the quilt is coming apart with one exception. One piece on one edge has worn through-see photo. Recently hand washed and ready for your home. RARE ANTIQUE CIGAR BOX FLAG QUILT Prev Stop Play Next Offering an antique.Primitive cigar box quilt c1905. It is a hand made example of Americana fabric art. The cigar box squares represent flags from around the world; prominent cigar box art. Slightly faded. No holes, tears or mending. I found one flag square which was repeated but nearly every square is unique and the one and only on the large quilt. It measures approximately 74" x 58" and is in excellent condition. A rare piece of Americana. Excellent antique wall decor.

This lovely quilted. Handmade messenger crossbody bag measures 13 inches tall, approximately 15 1/2 inches in width and 4 1/2 inches in depth. The strap drop is 18 inches. The pattern of the quilt from which the bag was made is the House pattern. It is so easily seen on the front of the bag as well as the back. The origin of the quilt is Ardmore Tennessee and was quilted in 1920. Susan Austin of Pieces of the Past then took these old and more than likely damaged quilts and rescued the best parts to make the quilted jackets and bags.
