VIBRANT Vintage 30's 8-Pointed Stars Antique Quilt ~NICE RED BACKGROUND! This ELEGANT cotton 20's/30's(some fabrics are earlier) eight pointed stars quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. With a vibrant red calico background. It measures 76" X 88" and is in excellent condition. With a couple of small, faint age spots(hard to find) and no wear. There is straight line quilting throughout at 6-7 stitches to the inch. The back and machine stitched binding are the same wonderful red used in the background. And the batting is very thin. This UNUSUAL STAR DESIGN and VIBRANT FABRICS make this antique quilt stand out- it would make a terrific wall hanging!

Lg. BEAUTIFUL Vintage Double Wedding Ring Antique Quilt ~CHEERY NOVELTY PRINTS! This BEAUTIFUL cotton 40's double wedding ring quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. With a scalloped edge. It measures 78" X 90" and is in excellent condition. With no spots or wear. The quilting is SUPERB. With quilting along the rings and in elaborate grid and ellipse designs in the background, all at 7 stitches to the inch. The back is white. The hand stitched binding is the same solid pink used in the interior, and the batting is thin. Whimsical novelty prints are used in places. This WELL EXECUTED vintage CLASSIC in GREAT CONDITION has everything going for it!

Offered here without reserve is this ca 1900 or earlier Feathered Pinwheel quilt. Measuring 75 1/2" x 69" and all hand quilted at 7 to 8 SPI. There are no apologies, though there is some subtle difference in the liome green color to the border strips which may be due to fading or to the use of different fabrics(and it is subtle) In any event, again, she's being offered without reserve although domestic USPS priority mail shipping will run $15.

ca 1900 country 9-patch variation quilt, no reserve
Perfect for the informal country decor. This quilt was obviously made to be used. Measuring 87" x 62" she's all hand stitched at but 6 SPI. Overall, she's in good condition with an occasional spot suggesting she could use a washing. But the more serious apology is the snag tear shown in my 5th picture and the wear to the upper left block as shown in my 6th picture. These are relatively easy repairs for the experienced quilter; nevertheless, she's being offered without reserve although domestic USPS priority mail shipping will run $15.

The threads are also a variety of colors, used to add decorative zig zag and other machine stitches to the top. The backing is a fabulous 50s op art cotton. Quilt is made of satin and cotton. Antique nine patch quilt. This quilt contains various types of fabric. Including some patches that appear to be old military clothing? The only flaw on the front is the fabric has pulled away from the stitching on one small square, which can be seen in photo. The back has several very small holes that could be caused from wear. I am confident this quilt has never been washed, but needs to be freshened up. There are no stains anywhere on quilt. It measures 82" x 72" Please view photos for complete visual details. Gorgeous!

It has a couple surface spots that I took close ups of that should wash out. It also has 3 specks that should also wash out. I have not washed it. It will need a couple tiny seam repairs. Thickness: Thick Back: Pictured and it's soft cotton. Repairs Needed/ Wearing Thin: The worst little flaw is pictured with a close up. There are a few tiny little pinholes in the top fabric only in a couple squares. Nothing really significant when you stop and think about how old it is. Spots: Light yellowish spotting throughout. It should wash out. I have not washed it) Measurements: 85x67 inches. That should fit on a full or a queen depending on how far you want it to hang over the mattress. Age: This quilt is going to date in the 1860 range. Maybe a little older. It is hard to tell with solid colored fabrics but I know it is older than 1880. ... morePrints from the 1880s are very distinctive. The fabric on the back has a seam down the middle, hand stitched of course. The looms that they used to make fabric back then were not very wide.which also helps to date this quilt. Pattern: This is called a Snail's Trail quilt. This pattern was not very common for that age period so I would rate this quilt a rare one. This quilt is kinda heavy. Vintage Blue Calico Puppy Machine Appliqued Banner Quilt Puppy Training Camp?
This little blue puppy is handmade and measures 10" x 14" with three 2" hanging loops. The puppy is about 9" x 10" so it fills the space nicely. The applique method is a machine zigzag stitch beautifully executed. We have the dark calico puppy zigzag stitched with a soft medium turquoise thread. This pup has a pink nose also stitched with the turquoise thread. The eye is black and medium yellow and is outlined with a medium yellow thread. The medium yellow thread in a zigzag stitched line forms the mouth. The little ear is dimensional(attached) and is stuffed! And to top it off this pup has a little puppy collar made out of 1/4" lace. How wonderful! The background and back is blue and white gingham. There is no batting. It is spotless and odorless. It dates from about 1975 according to the previous owner. This quilt, reminiscent of a Baltimore Album Quilt, is a wonderful hand appliqued and machine pieced quilt, we believe from the first quarter of the 20th century(1900-1925) As you can see in the photos, there is a repeating motif of a floral bouquet in a bowl, each block the same pattern, but with the hand crafted individual look in each one. Some of the flowers have stitching that appears to be done by someone who was learning to handle a needle. We see machine stitched seams in the construction of the block, and the presence of tiny blue dots that lay out the beautiful quilting pattern indicates a kit from the early twentieth century. The borders are straight, but the charming swag added alongside in pink and green calico give a sense of gentle curves. This is backed with white fabric and the batting is probably cotton, which is all under fabric. This quilt has acquired some aged patina to the light background and you can see some interesting color changes to the applique pieces, but the general condition is very good to excellent. Quilted Large Wall Hanging or Bed Quilt. Scrappy Log Cabin, Browns and Greens All 100% cotton fabrics in an array of scraps from my stash. The traditional log cabin block was paper-pieced and is arranged in a barn raising pattern. Surrounded by a scrappy piano-key border. The backing fabric is three different cotton fabrics. The batting is probably 80% poly. 20% cotton, or maybe all cotton, I can’t be sure. I made this quilt about 10 years ago. To be honest. The quilting is done with a meander stitch with monofilament(invisible) thread on the top, and a cream thread on the bottom– it is not perfect as it was one of my earlier attempts at free motion quilting. But it would make a great dorm quilt. Or perhaps for the beach or picnic. The traditional double-fold binding is machine-stitched to the front and invisibly hand-stitched to the back. ... moreThere is a rod pocket for hanging if you are lucky enough to have a large wall. This quilt should be described as“used” As you can see in the picture, I did have it on my living room wall for about 10 years. There are no rips/tears and has never been used on a bed. I have recently moved and no longer have a large wall for it. It measures 63” x 63” and would also add a punch of color at the foot of a bed. Or over your sofa. It is displayed on a queen size bed. There are well over 1.000 pieces of fabric in this quilt! It can be machine washed in cold water and dried on medium. I take my quilts out of the dryer when still a little damp. And lie flat to dry thoroughly.

Here is a large set of 40 vintage quilt blocks each composed of six wedge shaped pieces from mainly cotton fabrics. Although there are a few knits and heavier fabrics as well. Fabrics are mostly 1950s- 1960s era with a few older prints in the mix. These are purchased hexagon shaped blocks that I restitched to make the points meet in the center more or less. They have been rotary trimmed to approximately the same size of 7" across. Blocks are mainly machine stitched with some hand stitching as well done by the original maker. They are clean with no offensive odors. Some may have light chalk marks which were used for trimming purposes. My encyclopedia lists the following names and dates as being attributed to this design. Quilt Blocks Mosaic 16 Patch Checkerboard Vintage 1910 - 1935 Fabrics Shirtings
Here is a group of 12 quilt blocks in the Mosaic#20(Ladies' Art Company#348) or more commonly 16 Patch. Blocks are hand pieced and measure approximately 7" square(+ or- Most of the fabrics used are in a style from the 1900- 1915 period when they were often thin. Light, and semi-transparent. There are many colors represented in these blocks, orange, blue, pink and red. Also included are some double pinks in gingham and a couple of shirting prints in black and red from the 1880- 1910 period. Please note- some of the patches have been pieced. There is also some light bleeding on a couple of the blocks. These areas are not offensive and I would not hesitate to use the blocks as is. Here is a set of 39 quilt blocks in the popular 1930s Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern. Blocks are composed of three rounds of hand pieced feedsack and other vintage cotton fabrics. Blocks are approximately 7 1/4" at their widest point. Each block has a yellow center. Second round is a feedsack print the third round is a solid color. Quilt Blocks Grandmother's Fan Calico Fabrics Black Hem Stitched Applique
Here is a set of 23 blocks in the Grandmother's Fan pattern. Categorized as a Fan design with a smooth edge. Each block is composed of six blades and a black quarter circle appliqued onto white cotton blend. Three of the blocks do not have the finished hem stitch. Fabrics are mainly small print cotton calicos probably from the 1970s. Blocks are approximately 12" square and are machine pieced. Each is hand basted along the raw edges. The black fabric used for the quarter circles is shredding. These pieces will all need to be replaced. Each quarter circle is top stitched to the fan blades. They are mostly clean with no offensive odors. Repairs are not required except for the replacement of the black fabric. One block which has not been completed has had a hoop in place which has left some staining. Also included are five extra 12" ... moresquares of the white fabric. I do not have any of the calico or black fabrics. All of the blocks are pictured. Please note- one of the squares uses white floss instead of black. On the same block. Vintage Embroidered Quilt Square Pillow Top Or Frame Turtle Frog Flower 1979
This auction item is a fabric piece that is approx 13 inches x 16 inches. Nice embroidery which I think is hand embroidered. Edges of fabric are raveled. There are rust colored spots on the edge. Dusty line and crease marks look like it had been framed. Also could use as pillow top. Fabric is cotton or linen and is marked Sunset Designs MCMLXXIX.
