Antique Arts& Crafts-Mission Wicker Lamp and Shade-Original Silk This beautiful Arts& Crafts Wicker Lamp and Shade with Original Patina and Silk wants a loving home! The wicker on the base of the lamp is in excellent vintage condition. And measures 13" tall x 5 1/2" wide. The 6" tall x 8 1/4" wide lamp shade has some broken wicker strands and a loose clamp, but still is beautiful. Details are shown in the photos. The original silk is very worn with age and will need replacing. The two lovely gold tassels hanging from the pull chain are also in great vintage condition. The wiring is the old cloth type with an old plug, and probably should be replaced also. Due to the age, I have not tested this piece. It has a single lamp socket. The underside of the lamp is made of a dark stained wood which matches the wicker, ... moreand has no markings that I can see. Charles Limbert Quarter-Sawn Oak Rocker in very good condition. The chair measures 34" tall. 26 1/2" wide, and 29" deep. Pegged throughout. Wood has a nice patina. The cushion is original, but the tag is loose from the cushion. Someone tried to reapply it with tape. The leather is new reupholstered. The rocker has a stamped sign under the bottom of the left arm. It is well worn and hard to see. The last 2 photos are the original tag from the cushion and the marking on the arm. This chair is in excellent condition with great patina and would make a nice addition to any room! Hand carved. Wooden Cr oss with fine, silky pa tina. Carved of a single piece of fine grained wood. Just 1/4" thick. This c ross is done in the folk art style. And believed to be of Spanish Colonial origin, California Mission or Mexican. Most likel y. Note the rayed form- four rays come out from the center of the cross. With relie f carving. Which incl udes three wonder ful hearts in the design- one at top. One at center, and one inverted at the central stem. Crosshat ch ing in small diamo nd shapes comp let e the de sign. It is unsigned. Back side shows pencil markings related to cr eating the carving. As well as'trial' carved areas ... morewhere the maker worked out a bit of the de sign. He or she presumably gave up on that side. And flipped the wood over to start over. Please note that this c ross will not stand upright on its own- since it is only 1/4" thick. Y ou have to lean it or will have to add a hanging string or wire to hang it. There is only one nail on this piece driven in from the back side at the center cross. The nail has been there a long time- we know this because oxidation stains from the iron have entered the wood. However, the nail may not be original or the same the age as the cross. There are NO nail holes on the front side of this cross. Beautiful. Silky patina of age and handling. Original surface. Size- 12-7/8" long by 4-3/4" wide by 1/4" thick. Antique c1900s Arts & Crafts Mission Fumed Oak / Ebony Picture Frame w Art Print
I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1900- 1915 Arts& Crafts dark quarter sawn fumed oak with ebonized outer margin 16-1/4" x 32-1/2" picture frame with lovely original print. The print is the original to the frame and has never been removed- I can not see any markings to indicate the name of the print nor the artist or publisher and do not want to take it out of the frame. The frame is in Very Nice Original Condition- the outer margin is ebonized and has a grooved or furrowed designs. The wood is quarter sawn oak and has a wonderful somewhat dark orig stain. It is in great shape- no damages and wear is light. There are a couple of small areas on the ebony outer frame that have light smudges in the finish from a drip of white paint. This is hard to notice and quite trivial, easily darkened if you would so choose. The ... moreback is original but the protective dust cover thin paper covering is missing. The print may very well be signed but it would be beneath the visible area and I do not want to remove the print from the frame. It is in Excellent Condition- no damages- looks great but was hard to photograph. The print itself measures approx 9-1/2" x 25-1/2" The glass is clear and Is of course original to the frame and print- no damages. VTG 20S ART DECO COPPER IRON MISSION PORCH LIGHT SCONCE FIXTURE & CYLINDAR SHADE
Very beautiful antique light fixture. This is an outdoor wall sconce that would work great on a cottage or by a porch door. Originally from a lake home built at the turn of the century. The light is of cast metal, bronze and copper(the top is copper, other parts seem to be covered is some brass or a mix of brass, bronze and cast metal) The best part of this light is the cylinder shaped amber crackle glass shade, you don't often see these with an undamaged shade. It looks beautiful when turned on. It has been rewired(outdoor wiring and socket) and can take a 100 watt bulb it desired. Will have the mounting hardware included with a new brass finial holding the threaded rod in back. This light has been repaired to be usable again, the socket has been epoxied to the base(pictured) there are a few places where the metal has been lightly sanded ... moreto see what color it was underneath(pictured) this would weather in time and turn dark again. The finial on the bottom has a small hole drilled into it and a tiny wire holds it to the base of the lamp. pictured) You have to look for this to see it. A few screws have been replaced to hold the base to the top, they are brass but will darken in time(pictured) There is a screw head that is broken off that holds the copper top to the cast metal middle, there are other screws holding it down so this is not an issue(pictured) There are some very small paint dots on the copper top(pictured) In the last photo you can see the part that holds the base to the back tends to wiggle back and forth- it won't come loose and almost needs to be this way to fit the top onto the base(it needs a bit of wiggle room) but once it's all put together it doesn't move at all because of the way the top and bottom attach to each other. It needs to be assembled carefully since the metal top has to be screwed to the base over the cylinder shade- takes a bit of time and patience but well worth the effort. For your consideration is this antique mission oak bench or footstool. It is made of quartersawn oak and retains it's original finish. It features nicely shaped and cut out end panels with keyed tenons. The top shows remnants of an oilcloth or leatherette seat cover. It is stamped with the number 408 underneath. It measures 18 1/2" long overall. 15" tall and 12" deep. Everything remains in very nice as found condition.
