Beautiful 17th C Italian Schiavona Sword not Armor Rapier Medieval
A beautiful. All original 17th Century schiavona broadsword(grip wrap may be later, but that is to be expected) Hilt of typical basket form composed of overlapping bars. Quillon end bent backward in true fighting form. Beautifully peened over tang, steel"cat's head" pommet. Basket secured to pommel with typical wire wrapping. End of tang is so pristine it indicates that this sword has probably never been apart. Blade bearing marks(star pattern) similar to that of Juan de Alman, a 16th C Spanish blade maker, or an unidentified Italian bladesmith(see last two photos) A gorgeous and all-original 17th C sword for your collection! Medieval 15th c Knight Falcon Eagle emblazoned Wood Steel Full size Shield SCA
Selling my 15th century Medieval Knight Shield- claassic shield shape. It is 28" Tall by 22.5" wide. This is a full sized shield not a cheap display piece. It is made of real wood and has a metal trim with leather handles on the back. The back is felt covered with metal studs. I hand painted the Peregrine Falcon on the shield myself although it would be an easy task to paint over it.

15th Century Medieval Shipwreck Salvaged Water Grasses Plate - Hoi An Hoard
A beautiful. Large Medieval Ming dynasty era plate, officially recorded and from the famous Hoi An hoard and dating to the mid 15th Century A.D. This Ming Dynasty artifact. Somewhere between a plate and bowl in form, was likely used for serving and represents one of the most desirable ceramic types known from the Hoi An wreck. Of Vietnamese stoneware, the large, heavy plate is beautifully and confidently painted in blue on white under a thin glaze. The inner surface is decorated with a striking spray of tall water grasses, depicted amongst scrolling leaves. The sloping surface, or cavetto, is decorated with interspersed flower heads and double-leaf sprays. The exterior surface is decorated with upright lappets(decorative folds) containing swirled pendants. The base of the vessel is left unglazed and adorned with cafe au lait slip. This rare ... morepiece has a wonderful. Romantic provenance. It was excavated from the important Hoi-An shipwreck. The Hoi-An was a huge, overloaded trading ship that sank in the mid 15th Century, probably due to a catastrophic typhoon. The ship was carrying a substantial cargo of High Quality Vietnamese Ming export porcelain. We know that the Hoi An wares were produced in Kilns near modern-day Hanoi and were probably bound for the European Market before the ship was cruelly destroyed and sunk 250 feet into the cold waters of the South China Sea. The fascinating story of the Hoi-An and its recovery has been made into a best-selling novel by Frank Pope, entitled Dragon Sea: A True Tale of Treasure. Archeology, and Greed Off the Coast of Vietnam. In contrast to many unprovenanced Hoi An pieces on the market. This is the classic book for collectors of Dutch relics and artifacts from the medieval to early 18th century. The book is a great reference and condidrered one of the better books in this area. It was printed in 1977 and is now long out of print and a bit hard to find. It covers everything you will find. Written in Dutch with English summaries and easy to use to date artifacts. It has 524 pages. If you collect relics or period items it is a good book to have. I normally sell these in the $125-$150 range but will list this at a special price for this listing.
