Per the picture of the bottom of the chair, there are two old tac nails present that would have held the original label down. structurally sound with all four glides intact. All screws, and soft, cushy foam cushions. it's 39" at the widest point on the arms and 35.5" high. the clasp on one of the hooks that holds the cushions in place is broken so it doesn't close completely. no rips. Knoll 1950's 1960's. Hans Wegner& Johannes Hansen production Rare original set of six JH 501's in prized patina Cane& Oak 30" x 24" x 20" Mid Century Modern iconic chairs. This listing represents a unique opportunity to purchase a complete& original set of Hans Wegner chairs by the original producer Johannes Hansen. And imported by Knoll featured in oak& cane. Each chair is marked with the Knoll label& the branded logo and name of Johannes Hansen. Copenhagen, Denmark. This is the most acclaimed design performed by Hans Wegner and are available new from P.P. Mobler for approx $5.000 and more per chair, though the construction has changed so they are not produced the same way Johannes Hansen did. Featured in the famous 1961 photograph with other modernist designers in Playboy and forever thereafter referred to as"The Playboy Chair" This chair since created has been considered one of the best ever produced and praised. What makes this pair so exceptionally special is that while the chair was in production for a time. And copied by other companies extensively. Finding one with the early label from Jens Risom Design Inc. confirming it is an authentic Jens Risom production is very hard to come by- This chair has the Jens Risom Design Inc. paper label on the bottom of the chair. On the frame and has the delivery ... moretag, and are also dated on the wood(see internal frames under seat) These chairs were made in May 1955 and early work is very rare. Lavish use of walnut. Cane, rattan and exceptional design the chairs are more than comfortable, with the right amount of sculptural element for any decor. Frames are near flawless. The rattan has a minor blemish see top middle left hand side. The Upholstery was faded, removed had foam added(still has the original hog/horse hair) And the fabric was flipped over as it was not faded on the underside. The fabric features a few small blemishes most important to the left side near frame where the weave is loose. You may wish this replaced. Up for sale is this fabulous pair of Richard Schultz Knoll Chaise Lounge Outdoor Chaise Chairs Style C. They were originally made in 1966. They have a sturdy frame and a well made fabric trimmed in leather. They are a Conn estate find and are in very good condition. The paint on the frame is all in tact and the leather with heavy white thread trim is all in tact except for 2 very small areas where a stich is missing. One does have 2 small areas where the fabric needs to be repaired but other than that they are awesome. They do need a fabric cleaning just to brighten them up a bit but I will leave that up to the buyer. Leather slip covers. From a NY estate. History The BKF chair is a modern update of the Paragon chair which was first made for use as campaign furniture in the 1870s. A later version of the design was known as the Tripolina chair. A portable chair introduced in the early 20th century. Jorge Ferrari Hardoy along with Antonio Bonet and Juan Kurchan developed the BKF in 1938 for an apartment building they designed in Buenos Aires. On July 24. 1940, the chair was shown at the 3rd Salon de Artistas Decoradores exhibition where it was discovered ... moreby the Museum of Modern Art. At the request of MoMA design director Edgar Kaufmann Jr. Hardoy sent 3 pre-production chairs to New York. Often mistaken for Knoll- Davis Allen for DoMore Superior construction solid wood credenza in Oak or American Hardwood 7 1/2 foot x 20.25" deep and 25.75" tall Circa 60's 70's(Four Available) Perfect for office or home study. DoMore which was purchased by Steelcase employed some of the greatest designers to have ever worked. Such as Jens Risom, Bill Stephens& Davis Allen who was within Knoll at the time they released their famed office credenzas. Davis Allen is considered one of the greatest industrial designers of the period. He performed a number of designs also for Stow Davis along very similar lines as this model. He is renown for his flawless designs and substantial contribution to the designs at Knoll International and many other since his time there and is considered a pioneer. He spent 40 years with Skidmore. ... moreOwings& Merrill(SOM) and was inducted into the Interior Design Magazine Hall of Fame. He has been employed as the manager by an innumerable number of firms for his designs and is in the pantheon of mid century modern designers. This design and a series of them were done upon the behest of a company in Kentucky that made a very large order with them. They have been in storage a great deal of time. The quality of this credenza is second to none. Besides having a substantial weight associated with it due to the use of very hard woods and the use of solid block lumber. The credenza features superior construction in the draw mechanics and pulls ensuring this credenza will last as long as any other made. The long length with the legs beneath(and not on the sides) gives the entire credenza a floating look. The single drawer slide on the right hand side reveals slide drawers. Metal inserts on the sides and fronts add to the appeal of this credenza in a very hard to find length that provides a streamlined look that is most appealing. The drawers are spotless. The wood is in premium condition with so few marks upon it that we will say it is vintage condition and it is display quality.

This piece is a quaint re-creation of an 18th century English cottage. The occupants relished the fact that the eaves weren't quite perfect but had character in their"tattered" appearance. And is a plastic 3 ring binder full of flash card style pull-outs that the customer could take including all the famous chair/storage/living room designs by famous Knoll designers such as Breuer, Saarinen, Florence Knoll, Platner, etc. plus many of the more obscure designers of the era. The big book(it weighs 8 pounds) is a great resource for the collector/dealer of Mid Century Modern furniture. MCM George Nelson Herman Miller lamp end table for side chair sofa Bertoia knoll
Please see notes on shipping at end. 19 and 1/8 inches wide x 30 and 1/4 deep x 22 and 1/4 tall at the main table section. Shade was professionally restored. The table itself is in nice vintage used and un-restored condition. It does show wear and has rubs and a few scratches- see pics for detail. Overall though it displays well in its vintage condition. nelson label is gone but the sticker backing remains in the drawer-light works but cord is old and should be replaced- ballast and wiring are original as well. rear clip was repaired because it had a crack- it holds well. Original Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe Barcelona Table Knoll Marked MidCentury Modern
Bought from Knoll International. This table has been gently used in a house with no children or pets. If you look closely, you may be able to see a few scratches in the glass on the top. It is 40 x 40 inches x 17 inches tall. I live in Philadelphia and this must be picked up. The glass is extremely heavy. I am moving on July 31 when it will be put in storage.
