The handpainted design is very traditional of a Japanese village with pine trees. Mountains, rivers, resting huts. It also has the traditional Imari geometric design edges and, what looks like, waves on the back of the plate. This bowl is 5 1/2" in diameter and 2" high and is good condition for its age which is mid-late Meiji period. Many of these bowls were used for utilitarian purposes and found in many households during the Meiji period. Thank you checking out my auctions and store. Rare Antique Japanese Porcelain Arita Imari Sake Cup Washer Haisen/ Hizen Signed
A rare antique Japanese porcelain Arita Imari sake cup washer(Haisen/Hizen) decorated in underglaze blue and dating. We believe from the 19th century. The Haisen has an unusual shape at the edge. The body of the Haisen is hand painted with a watery landscape to the inside of the bowl with a simple line design around the inside edge. The bowl is decorated in underglaze blue and was used during ceremonial parties where sake cups were washed between use and passed on from guest to guest. The Haisen is marked. Diameter 17 centimeters height 7.5 centimeters.

Imari Ashworth Mason's Ironstone Rayner Covered Vegetable England 1860's
Covered Vegetable dish is 13" by 9" by 5 1/2" high with lid on. It can be used with lid on or off- inside of bottom is decorated too. The cover is in very good condition- no chips or cracks. The base of the bottom has a chip and small cracks. There is a crack in the dish that has been repaired with staples. The crack goes all the way through although it is difficult to see on the inside of the dish because the pattern is so detailed. See pics for details. RARE ANTIQUE JAPANESE ARITA IMARI PORCELAIN HAISEN SAKE CUP WASHER 18TH C Diameter of bowl just over 6.5 inches. Height of dish 4.5 inches. A rare antique Japanese porcelain Arita Imari sake cup washer(Haisen) decorated in underglaze blue and dating. We believe from the 18th century. The Haisen stands raised on a cylindrical pedestal foot and is of rounded shape. The body of the Haisen is hand painted flowers and butterflies and with a simple line design around the inside edge. The outer edge is painted with fruiting vines with a key pattern around the foot. The bowl is decorated in underglaze blue and was used during ceremonial parties where sake cups were washed between use and passed on from guest to guest. The Haisen is not marked.

This is an imari ceramic oval dish which dates to the late Edo era(c. 1860) It is designed with hand painted designs of fu-dog playing with a mari ball on the each side while mountains and temples are painted in the middle(see pictures) This dish is a high fire ceramic for lasting durability. This is a very nice little antique Gaudy Welsh Staffordshire biscuit barrel or sweet meat containter. It was mad by Wood& Sons in the late 1800's-early 1900s in England. It has pretty Imari colors and the pattern#2955 with the factory stamp appears on the bottom. The electroplated handle. Rim ring, and lid are marked JBC& S Ltd EPNS. The condition is very nice. It is free from any chips, cracks, or damage other than the obvious overpolishing through the years. It is a lovely little container. It measures 5 1/2" high with the swing handle up, and 5 1/2" across. The interior is clean and unstained. The loss of its silver speak volumes of the use and cleaning it has had over a century of holding goodies inside. US shipping only which includes insurance.

Georgian, Imari, Royal Crown Derby, Two Handled Goblets
Here for sale are an exquisite pair of Imari cups from the late 18th century. Each measures 6 1/2" in height and is 4" across the rim. They are adorned with flowers. Swirls, bows, dots, berries and leaves, in red, cobalt and sky blue and have gold trim. One cup has a couple of small chips on the rim, which look to have been there quite some time, and a fine hairline crack(1" to the underside of the base. The other has some gold loss. Very translucent 3" top diameter of cup 4" diameter of saucer two very small chips along the inner edge of the cup the markings are in a script I cannot decipher-they appear to be Asian. The low-relief moulded interior painted in overglaze polychrome enamels and gilt with Hotei with four karako boys playing on the fenced ground surrounded by flowering branches. Fruiting pomegranate, plantain and hana-karakusa sections. A chevron border to the rim, the underside decorated with three fruiting sprays of pomegranate, a gilt apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark to the base set with five spar marks.
