It measures 4" x 1 1/4" There is a small amount of gold wear to th rim and a spot in the glaze/plate itself, as you can see in the photos. It is free of chips. Fleabites, or repairs. The markings on the back ... moreof both the saucer and the plate(6 Kanji characters) may help the antique collector determine the date range for this fine piece of porcelain. Similar pieces on antique websites have been listed as being from the 19th century or earlier. I am unfamiliar with determining the age. All three pieces are painted in the traditional colors of the Arita Imari region. Such as, cobalt blue, iron red and emerald green. There is a very generous use of gold or gilt detailing in the panels the rims/edges and the tea cup handle. The Chrysanthemum is the predominant flower in the design. The Chrysanthemum in the larger plate is also complemented by a molded relief pattern in the porcelain. There are 16 panels to the design around all three pieces. On both the plates the panels are complemented by a lovely scalloped edge. Similar to the Chrysanthemum. The 16 panels are molded into the porcelain. Note the outstanding. Painted blue border under both the saucer and the small plate. The cup is 3-1/2" diameter The saucer is 5" diameter The plate is 7" diameter CONDITION: These pieces have been gently handled and used for display. The gilt remaining on all three pieces is over 99% with the largest plate almost at 100% The saucer has some tiny areas of gilt scraped from border(seen with magnification) but is still over 99% for the entire piece. The saucer has some light crazing in the center(front) seen with magnification and on the back seen with naked eye once I found it with the magnification I would appreciate hearing any information you have about this piece. Inspect the photos and the description to determine if the condition meets your satisfaction. Please let me know if you have any questions. The plates are done in the very popular Kings pattern. These plates are dinner size. This pattern features lovely cobalt blue and rust red designs. With gilded detailing. Wonderful example of Derby's"old Japan Imari" or Kings Pattern porcelain bowl in restrictedcolor palette of cobalt blue. Iron orange, and gilding. The classic orange/red Derby mark on the underside of the bowl was used from 1782 to 1825. This bowl most probably dates from the early part 19th century 1800- 1810. There are no chips. Cracks or hairline fractures. There is also no restoration to this bowl. There is limited wear to the gilding primarily at the rim. This is a gorgeous. Vintage English bone china cup and saucer set. The set is decorated with the imari colors: cobalt blue, red/orange and gold on white background. The cup is slightly flared with fat loop handle. The trimming is gold around the edges The white handle is gold on top. The marking on the bottom dates back to 1915. Incised into the bottom of the saucer is"Derby 1915" Size of cup: 3 1/2" diameter around the top. 1 3/4" deep. Size of saucer: 5 1/2" diameter. Condition of the set is mint. No chips. This Japanese imari bowl is 6 ¼ inches in diameter and 2 inches high. It is heavily potted. It is nicely decorated with a colorful scene of a peacock and a bird on the inside. The bowl is heavily gilded. The bowl has pre-Wagner blue and dates circa 1860. It would have been made in Arita and shipped through the port of Imari. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs.

A stunning vintage Japanese Porcelain"Hand Painted" Imari Gold Vase. Emerald green& white with gold highlights. A round the rim is gold paint and under that a pattern of two different florals in two shades of green and a gold center on one. In the middle a large brunch. With beautiful flowers and berries. Still circulating the same green shades as the outside floral pattern. Beautifully detailed, a pair of peacocks sit on top of the tree limb. One male and one female. The male sits with golden beak facing the female and 2 long golden tail feathers with the aqua green circles. Each feather and wing on both birds are painted intricately. 100 YEAR ANTIQUE JAPANESE TAISHO ERA CRANE KUTANI IMARI TOKURI SAKI CARAFE
A unique handmade hand painted kutani imari ceramic tokuri(sake carafe) designed with hand painted images of a"thousand cranes" from the late Taisho Era(c.1920) The intricate design is done in multi color and gold. It required three separate firings with the gold going last. This tokuri is signed by the Japanese kiln Kutani on the bottom(see pictures 5 and 6) Kutani is one of Japan's most famous ancient kilns; it began making imari such as this earlier than even the Edo period. It uses a tripodal footing as seen in pictures 4 and 9 for a very stable base. Having been fired at a high temperature in a wood fired kiln for lasting durability. It remains in near perfect conditon with only minimal wear. This tokuri(carafe) measures 6" tall by 3" across(15 x 7.5 cm) and holds about 8 standard cups of warm sake. A rare large covered vegetable or serving dish by Royal Crown Derby in"563" pattern. Very similar to that of the"Kings" pattern. The lid was later matched(an astounding feat) to the dish, and it fits perfectly(in size as in color) Both lid and dish were produced in the Osmaston Road factory. Dish bears the older mark(produced between 1877-1890) lid bears the 1925 cypher. In excellent condition. Except for very minor wear on gilt decoration and faint utensil marks in dish. This is a beautiful pattern which I have not been able to find to confirm the name. The colors are beautiful and bright with deep cobalt blue background. Rust colored flowers, poppies, gold or gild decoration and trim, white background in opposite panels. sweet! This is a wide rim soup bowl, which is 9 3/4" in diameter and about 1" deep, the rim is about 1 1/2" wide before it dips down into the bowl portion. There is some wear on the gold rim color, there is a small chip on the top and bottom of the same area.see pics please. This auction is for a Fantastic and Very Old Pair of Matching Soft Paste Saucers or Shallow Bowls. They are in a classic Chinoiserie scene with Imari Colors of Cobalt Blue. Iron Red, Pink, Peach and Green with Copper Luster Highlights and Outlines. The pattern is hand painted with great. Intricate artistic detailing: a woman under a parasol is being served by a short man as a bald Asian man sits nearby arranging flowers against a Large Urn with blossing blooms. Above, a green bird is perches on a limb. Like I said. Intricate. They are in very good condition. Especially for their age. There are no chips or cracks or repairs in either piece. The colors and images are vibrant and bold. They were a recent estate sale find. There are no backstamps or marks. A previous owner placed a sticker on each indicated they were"early S underland circa ... more1800. By the form and feel of the soft paste. I believe they are from the very early 1800s and could have been made in the Sunderland area of England given the use of luster glazing. Whatever their origin. These are Fantastic Examples of Very Early soft paste and are a Rare Find. I have been unable to find another example in this pattern. Lovely little cauldron shaped salt made by Davenport Longport. This sweet and unusual cauldron shaped salt has a metal handle. It stands on 3 gilded feet and features a stunningly detailed hand-painted imari pattern. Rich colours of blue. Brown and gold. Just over 1 inch tall(with handle down) Fantastic condition. Strong bright colours. Very little rubbing of gilding. If held to the light you can just see some very faint micro crazing to the base and the inside rim. No chips. Cracks or staining. The centerpiece server or'lazy susan' consists of 5 porcelain dishes that fit together and sit upon a turnable stand. The stand is laquered black with a deep red enameled trim.
