Original Vintage Charles Eames for Herman Miller LCW molded plywood lounger
Original untouched Charles and Ray Eames molded plywood lcw lounger done in birch veneer. this chair is beautiful and extremely sturdy. There are only a 2 blemishes on this chair, as you can see there is a blemish on the top left side of the back, and one small blemish on the front right of the seat. should not be hard to remove I just don't want to touch it, however when I had gotten the chair the back was off of the rubber shock mount, but had it put back on correctly. the rubber shock mounts are all in great shape and are the original shock mounts. The back shock mount is one solid piece, no cracking as far as I can see. It has the original finish so it has not been redone or touched. The chair has normal light wear and scratches as you would expect on a chair of this age. Up for your consideration is this set of FOUR warm yellow Herman Miller original vintage side chairs. These chairs are in very good vintage condition. None of the chairs have any chips, cracks, significant edge wear or holes. All chairs have original shock mounts present(no mounting hardware or bases are included. some of the chairs show age appropriate wear, or some areas of staining deep into the fibers. I have photographed the worst of this staining, we have not attempted to clean this and it is largely inconspicuous. It was a very dreary rainy photo shoot today, the color is more cheerful than they appear in the photos. The color is what I believe is usually called ochre light. A very small group of Alexander Girard for Herman Miller fabric furniture upholstery samples. Originally these would have been given to prospective purchasers of Knoll/Herman Miller furniture in the 1950s/1960s. i have grouped them for the pictures: there are 9 total in this batch. I had listed these a few weeks ago. But they buyer never paid. That is why they are re-listed here. This is the last set of Girard samples that I have. These are Millchek samples from his collections for Herman Miller. They are the largest-scale checkerboard fabrics that Girard made during this era. Millchek is a multi-layer jacquard/brocade tweed weave-each sample has four colors of thread making up the pattern. the samples are small. About 2"x3" The cards have all required information on the back- such as name. Order number, color name, width content, ... morefinish type. The cards have some light age spotting. 4 Eames DCW Herman MIller DWR Mid Century Modern Dining Chairs Bent Plywood
Set of four used Eames designed DCW's. Made by Herman Miller. These are from a fashion showroom in NY that was liquidating. They were produced in 2002. These are used chairs and have some scratches and other signs of use. One has minor veneer separation on seat as well as a small dark stain on the curve of a leg(pic. 12) One is missing a screw on bottom. Please look closely at all 12 pictures, they are part of the description. Condition can be subjective.I feel comfortable saying that these are in good condition, not great, but, good. Included, are all four certificates of authenticity. These appear to be the $889 plus shipping and tax natural cherry finish. 8.87% sales tax added to ny residents. The Eames Molded Plywood Dining Chairs with wood base are a true original and a classic design suitably sized for any table calling for refined seating with enduring style. Cited by Time magazine as the Best Design of the 20th Century. These Eames chairs are molded to fit the contours of the body. So sitting on this icon of modern design feels good. By molding thin sheets of lightweight veneer into gently curved shapes, Charles and Ray Eames managed to give a hard material a soft appearance and establish the foundation for the design of modern furniture. An upholstery option introduces a soft touch and a dash of color to this classic design. The plywood has natural face veneers with hardwood inner plies and a five-ply seat and back. Together with gracefully curved eight-ply legs. Natural rubber shock mounts absorb movement. Herman Miller Charles Eames Side Chair (1)Elephant Hide Grey (no base)
Here is a Herman Miller Side Chair that were designed by Charles Eames. The shell is all original Herman Miller. They have the Herman Miller name moulded under the seat(see picture close-up) The original patent stickers at one point but have come off over the years of use. The shell is in good shape for their age all the shockmounts are glued on tight. They have some color loss on the edges. I think is normal) Other than a simple wipe and removal of some 50+ year gum I did not touch these chairs otherwise. It may need to be cleaned better and may have a fleck of paint or some gum. From the estate of a WWII Veteran and his spouse of 64 years: A HERMAN Miller alarm clock. This unique art deco burlwood desk clock dates to the 1920s. The numbers and hands are clearly art deco design. Set on a mother-of-pearl-looking satin face. DESIGN: An extremely clean and fully intact first production 1949-1950 Herman Miller Zenith plastics Fiberglass"RAR" Rocking Chair designed by Charles Eames. Naturally mellowed pale red/pink"Salmon" colored shell with Black enamel Zinc rod base and Birch runners. All unmolested and well preserved in sublime condition. CONDITION: This highly sought after 1st production Zenith Rocker is in outstanding condition. Completely intact and fully functional. The fiberglass Zenith shell is super clean with no chips or cracks and consistent vibrant translucent fibers with no glaring discoloring aside from the natural mellowing of the original Salmon Red pigment. Zinc base and runners are equally as clean and problem free with just normal bottom wear to the runners. These early Zenith Salmon colored shells typically are faded to the ... morepoint of being pale flesh pink due to the unstable nature of the Red Pigments used in the fiberglass molding combined with 65 years of UV exposure. This fine specimen still retains a good amount of"peachy" vibrancy to the pigment and has fairly even tone to front, sides and back.obviously it was used very little and well protected from the elements of aging.
