Large Dutch or possibly English Delft tile from the 1600s or early 1700s decorated with globe or netted/meshed circle inside concentric circles with wavy lines. Or Delft pottery, denotes blue and white pottery made in and around Delft in the Netherlands and the tin-glazed pottery made in the Netherlands from the 16th century. Delftware in the latter sense is a type of pottery in which a white glaze is applied. Usually decorated with metal oxides. This is an older model, it still includes the USSR so it was definitely made before the fall of the Soviet Russia. This is a beautiful piece with some wear, which gives it a great vintage patina. Up for the next auction. Is a RARE globe from my personal collection, an early 1930's(or 20's) Standard 12" Globe, clearly marked in RED INK-the location of world wide RADIO STATIONS. I have never seen another like it. Review photos carefully. This globe is a beautiful aquamarine blue ocean. Clearly labelled and features CHOSEN, PERSIA, SIAM for dating purposes. This is a wonderful old Replogle relief globe that was distributed by Maclean's. Canada's Weekly Newsmagazine. I cannot find the date to know how old it is but it shows the U.S.S.R. so it is prior to the 1990's. It is similar to globes labeled as the World Nation Series. It sits on a gold stand of lightwieght metal. The globe turns freely on its axis. The identification section states: Canada's Weekly Newsmagazine Macleans's copyright Replogle Globes. Inc. LeRoy M. Tolman. Cartographer 12 Inch Diameter Globe Made in U.S.A. It has a Legend that shows International Boundaries. State Boundaries and Other Boundaries. Including the scarce to find original hollow fillable glass stopper. No cracks or even tiny chips and the glass is unusually clear for this type of display piece. Usually these type of display sections are found with much water staining and cloudiness present on the inside. Not the case with this one. The bottom fillable section has some very light streaks or spotty places inside around the bottom which look like will probably come clean- no real noticeable water staining or cloudiness. All this goes magically transparent anyway when any of the glass sections are filled with colored water. So no real big deal. Please see all photos provided which show just how AWESOME ... morethis piece looks when its filled with colored water! The height of bottom fillable section is about 13 inches from extreme tip to tip. About 7 inches in diameter at the widest point. The height of the pedestal base is about 3-3/4 inches. Measures 13" across its broadest expansion. 10" high and at the ruffled top is 7-3/4" wide. The fitter or bottom lip measures 9-7/8" across, outside to outside. This has some roughness/small flakes at the bottom which will be"tucked" away once in place.

Replogle 6" World Globe Set Antique to Modern Atomic Space Age Mid Century Cram
Set of three 6" Replogle world globes. Antique to modern. The antique and blue world globes are vintage 1960's- all metal bases and spheres. The black and silver globe is a modern acrylic Replogle Spectrum globe on a vintage metal base to match the others. The black globe is in very good condition, the base has a scuff and a slightly loose bottom pin that does not affect anything as the globe holds firm and spins freely. The blue globe has a few very minor spots on the sphere and base, no dents. The antique Revere globe has a hardly perceptible dent south of Madagascar and one southeast of Tuamotu Arch, a few minor scuffs and spots on the sphere and base, and a circular scratch around Antarctica. The rivet on the bottom of the base is slightly loose so the meridian rotates if forced but firm enough to stay still when the globe is ... morerotated.
