Very nice Victorian era motto sampler on punched paper. This sampler has a very nice walnut frame with gold inner border. The frame is in good condition just needs a little light cleaning. It is missing one tip of a leaf in the top right corner. Has old wavy and bubbly glass original to the piece. The back looks nice with the original backboard. The sampler says The Old Oaken Bucket. The box opens to reveal a hand carved and painted Confederate"Stars& Bars" on lid. The inner compartment measures 7 1/4" x 3" 1 1/2" In the lower right corner of compartment is the signed maker's name. Quality brass hinges were used with slotted screws. All screw holes used to craft this box were filled and finished over. For auction is a Vintage Talavera Plate La Corona Crown Tlaxcala Mexico Folk Art Cobalt Blue 8" diameter decorative plate hand-made and hand-painted in cobalt blue on a white background. The design is very detailed and beautiful. The plate is in very good condition. The pottery process includes a little unevenness in applying the cobalt paint on the outside edge of the plate that leaves some white spots which look like highlights. Or chips, but they are not chips and the plate is glazed over these spots and are smooth. I have pointed out an area in the photos. The glaze also had some tiny air bubbles when applied on the bottom of the plate and these bubbles can feel a little rough. All of these issues are normal for hand-made, hand-painted folk art and make the piece more interesting.

Hi. Thanks for looking! Up for sale is a vintage hand carved wooden Mickey Mouse wall hanging. It measures 31 inches high at the longest point and 18 inches across at the widest point. It appears to have been hand carved and hand painted and is signed"INCORVAIA" on the lower front of one of Mickey's shoes. There is a bracket on the back to allow it to be hung on the wall. It isn't obvious at first but mickey is holding balloons in his left hand that spell out"LISA" in red. Orange, and green colors. Mickey is in good condition with very little wear. A wonderful Mexican Tonala style vintage pottery bird. It is at least 38 years old. As it sat in a classroom that long. Great condition. No cracks, chips or repairs for the figurine itself. I measure approximately 7 inches long by 4 5/8 inches tall by 2 ¾ inches wide. I believe the glossy surface is from burnishing, although I’m not entirely certain as I am no expert. It may well be a Tonala piece, but there are no marks to that effect. There are spots where the color is imperfect such as the right side of the neck and perhaps the paint is chipped on the back of its head in the central black band and also down a little lower in the black. There are many small imperfections most of which appear to be original but perhaps they are not, I’m not sure. Colors are tan, a muted blue and muted orange. Also black and some white. Hello everyone I would like to invite you to please take a look this beautifully crafted hand made vintage Sicilian horse and carriage.This vibrantly colored carriage I am told may have been hand painted by an artist in Italy.The carriage is made of wood and pressed paper and seem to be in good condition.Although the wheels are a little twisted and one has a couple of cracked sections as well as an up- right or two but holds up well and the horse has some use and fading on it and all needs a good cleaning but still looks nice to me as is.There may have been originally a couple of farm peasants setting atop this carriage that are not available anymore as this is how I received it.It measures 22" long x 8" wide x 11" high.Questions are welcome.Thank You for looking, John

22" x 28" oil on canvas. Circa 1861-1864, of Union General George Brinton McClellan, the 1864 Democratic candidate who lost to Abraham Lincoln. He has one hand tucked into his jacket, a la Napoleon, and grasps his sword with the other. His trusty white steed even wears a patriotic red, white and blue bridle rosette. It has been cleaned, six holes repaired with patches, the edge folded over and stapled to a new stretcher. The amount of excess canvas folded over is minimal and consists primarily of plain background. Overall condition is quite good. It might have been painted during Little Mac's brief tenure as Commander of the Army of the Potomac, or it may have been issued when he ran for president in 1864, and may even be a painted banner mounted on a bandwagon or carried in a torchlight parade.
