Vintage Folk Art Weathervane (50's-60's), Dog Motif
The folks we bought our 1925 house from moved here in the late 1950's. And according to neighbors they promptly took down the original weathervane and put this one up. I don't know much about it other than it is in pretty decent shape for its age, has a dog motif, and a pretty simple folk art feel to it. I'd conservatively put the vintage on it to the late 50's, early 60's in that case.

Large Mexican Pottery Chicken Red Ware Hand Painted Folk Art Chicken
Offered is a vintage Mexican red ware chicken pottery casserole about 11" long& 7.5" tall at the tail. These come from Tlaquepaque. The colors are very different from the usual with a predominate cream color with black dots and other accents. There is a not all the way through crack at the applied part of the handle. This is a vintage carved and painted wooden cactus from Oaxaca Mexico by Pepe Santiago. It was collected in Mexico in the 1970's. It is 17 1/2" tall. 12" wide and 11" deep. A five lobed prickly pear cactus in bloom with 18 flowers and a hummingbird drinking from the top flower. Nothing missing or broken, it is excellent collectors quality. Artist signed on bottom.

We found the following on Wikipedia: USS Warrington(DD-383) a Somers-class destroyer— was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for Lewis Warrington. Who was an officer in the Navy during the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812. He also temporarily served as the Secretary of the Navy. The second Warrington was laid down on 10 October 1935 at Kearny. Wonderful old wood carving of a Russian Squirrel. It looks like it could be a candle holder. It measures 5 1/4 inches tall and the base measures 4 1/2 inches x 3 5/8. It's signed and dated on the bottom by the artist. Robert Patscheider. It was given as a gift to Dick Kohrt in 1934. Kewaunee, Wisconsin. The carving consists of several pieces of wood. One of the squirrel's ears is broken off. It's a lightweight wood.

This is for an old Folk Art Fireplace Display. I am not sure of it's exact age. But would guess from the 1920's to 30's. It has 2 old match safes, a small mirror, and 4 iron hooks that have been attached to a hand painted and hand carved wood display. The paint is checking in some areas. The bird carvings were beautifully done. The sides and bottom also have hand carvings. There are dings, scratches, and some minor warping commensurate with age, but overall in quite nice shape. The only new additions are the wire connectors for hanging. This piece came from a turn of the century rural farm house in south western Wisconsin(The thick dust and soiled surfaces are free) It would make a beautiful display in your log cabin or primitive area. Description: This whimsical vintage clay figurine is approx. 4 ¾” high x 2 ¾” long x 3 ½” deep. It depicts a Mexican man kneeling with melons and is glazed in polychrome colors with a green glaze on base all over red clay. It is missing the right hand thumb as shown in photo. Otherwise. Antique Mexican? Folk Art Carved Wood Praying Madonna Statue wooden carving
Old hand carved and painted statue of Madonna praying. I purchased this from the first estate sale I went to 3 years ago in Sacramento. CA. The woman was a volunteer educator at the Crocker Museum. Her house was filled with various Native American and Mexican art and artifacts. I am not sure the age of this piece or origin, but at the time it was one of the few pieces that was within my budget so I purchased it. The statue stands 15 3/4" tall.

Old Tile Art SIGNED by M. Hunt. I am not sure how old they are but the back tells the story of at least mid century as well as the wood which looks to be teak wood but I cant be sure. They each measure 4 3/4 by 4 3/4" They are in good condition with no chips nor cracks. You can see in the right light that the shiney coating on the tiles has worn in places. Rare original folk art hunting man with rifle and hunting dog weathervane
Up for bidding is this unique hunter and hunting dog weathervane. Great weathervane just came into the shop with lots of patina. The rear fin needs to be set back in place and secured. Antique Vintage Black Painted Folk Art Weather Vane Nautical Ship Sailboat
This is an antique vintage black painted folk art weathervane of a nautical ship or sailboat. It is probably from the 1920s or 1930s. There is no maker's mark on it. The arrow measures 20 inches wide. The rods with the letters are 16 1/2 inches wide. The overall height is 27 inches. It weighs 2 lbs. 8 oz. The base parts are made of iron. The ship and letters are aluminum or zinc. The tip of one of the masts is gone as is the other end of the arrow. There is heavy rusting and a lot of the black paint is worn. Here is a vintage hand crafted wall plaque for AFRIKA and dated 1941-1943. It has a decorative rim with Ana indented center which features a map of the African continent. On it is a hand painted Egyptian vendor and a pyramid and palm trees in the background. It is marked with initials P.W. on the back. It measures approx. 7" across.
