We found these in a three seasons porch at a lake shore ... moreestate. Although not in poor condition, we felt the needed some love and restoration. We have re-finished the black bases and white wire seat shells with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality enamel based paint. We think they look pretty nice! One of the wire chair shells has some small broken wires and some small cracks in the front screw mounting arbors, as pictured. They do not affect the function or sturdiness of the chair. The other three shells have no broken wires or cracks. None of the chairs show any evidence of repairs, but may have a few wires that are slightly bent. We placed nylon washers between the bases and seat shells. We are also including the original bikini pads which are in fair condition. The have waste cattle hair pads and what appears to be a faux reptile skin naugahyde coverings. We feel these could be salvaged and restored with the original padding and production tags intact, if you wish. The rubber boot glides are all original with the exception of one new replacement. A few glides have some small cracks and two have back tape holding them together. We will include 2 new extra replacement glides as well. Bases will be removed for shipping. This Large 17" tall Model 1977 Farquhar Celestial Navigational Lucite Globe is an amazing find! I do not have the Lucite base/compass that this gorgeous piece originally sat on. The globe contains these features: Star Magnitude. Legend, Multiple Stars, Variable Stars, Other Objects and Gallactic Boundaries The ecliptic circle and celestial names/ constellations are printed inside of the celestial globe so as to be viewed from the earth at center. A movable transparent plastic meridian ring A movable representation of the sun(which are designed for manual operation to present the positions of the sun and stars at any particular time) are mounted inside the celestial globe. The outer Star Globe has porthole so you can reach inside for easy access. Condition: Given the age of the item. The piece is in great condition. The plastic is clear ... moreand free of scratches. I have not cleaned it at all as I didn’t want to use anything that may affect crisp print. I don’t really have any knowledge this stuff. The outer globe is taped together, which seems to be fairly normal based on my preliminary research. There are spots around the circumference that are sticky from the tape. The tape wasn’t really affixed neatly by whomever. I am just keeping it as is. As I mentioned above. The clear Lucite base is missing, which contained a compass. I don’t have the manual either. This is a GREAT vintage 1960's bunch of RED lucite acrylic"raspberries" on a real driftwood vine! There are 29 grapes. HEAVY! The are held on the wood with metal inside each grape and the metal is wrapped with a silky thread. What is neat is the way the metal wires are intricately attached to the wood- please see last photo for this! Wood vine and raspberries measures 13" long and is about 5 1/8" wide. Driftwood vine alone to the raspberries is 4 1/2" by 2 1/2" at the widest part. The bunch is about 5 1/8" wide. Each raspberry size is 2" long by 1 1/4" in diameter. Here is a pair of amazing original mid century. Fully lined drapery panels! Each of the two measures 40" wide and 44" long! They have 2" rod pockets. The background is white with fabulous mid century designs in shades of blue/greens, lilac, and black. Look closely at my photos and you can see there are white images and even flecks of gold! Probably were larger panels at one time; the lining looks brand new and there is the least bit of a line along the bottom of one panel that looks like it might have been an old hem line at one time. Very hard to see, but I think you can make it out in my 5th photo. No other problems that I can find! The fabric is MUCH finer than shown! Here offered is the best metal Barrister Lawyer's Stacking Bookcase that I have ever offered for sale in the 40 years that I have been in the Antiques Business. This is a three stack bookcase made by Shaw-Walker one of the best Indusial and Office Furniture Manufacturing Company's of the 20th Century in America. The original green paint on this is in amazing condition. I had a very hard time showing the true color of this Green. This is much better looking in person than my photos show. This is a nice rich green somewhat darker than Army Green. There is only slight wear to the front bottom inside of the individual bookcase sections(These cannot be seen ... moreunless the door is open) and some minor scuffing around the bottoms of the feet. The top of the bookcase also has some scuffing from items being slid across the finish. This is not bad but you can see the marks if you are tall enough. There is no rust or dents to this Bookcase. On each individual stacking section on the back left side is an oval mark where a inventory or number tag was original affixed to the pieces. These are all missing and were probably taken off when this was decommissioned from a Company's inventory. This is 33" wide. 13 1/2" deep and 59" tall. Each Bookcase section is 16" high. The doors all lift up and slide properly and all the glass is free of cracks or chips. The knobs are made of brass. Danish modern arm chair in good condition with white vinyl accent area's. The wood on the arms is darker after years of use as a desk chair. The chair has been cleaned and is very sturdy in its construction. The chair has some interesting lines. If you look at the arms in how they are shaped and the wood is joined in the curve. Great Design& Good bones! Elegant Mid Century lamp. Elongated body with soft Matte finished ceramic base on top of a wood foot(possibly teak) with Rosewood stem that tapers upwards and crowned with burlap covered fiberglass type shade lining. 2 bulb with on/off switch at base. Works very well. This piece measures 24" in height& 7 1/2" wide at base. Shade measures 14" in diameter& 8" in height. This piece is in excellent vintage condition but has been used so there are slight signs of wear. There is one scuff on the surface of the wood stem(see pic) measuring approx. 3/4" long X 1/8" On the shade there 3 cracks in the lining(see pics) these are due to age& wear but are not visible from the outside. NO chips. Cracks or repairs. This is a quality piece. Construction, design& materials indicate ... morehigh standards. That said there are no markings aside from the NEW BRUNSWICK LAMP SHADE on the top of the shade armature. Vintage Creators Rain Oil Motion Lamp Grist Mill - Eames Era-VGC. All Restored !
Vintage 1970 Creators Inc. Grist mill-Excellent working condition. MUST BE SET on a level table to work properly. 31" Tall. 11" wide. Molded plastic. I have completely restored this lamp. When I bought it off eBay i was assured it was in great working condition. Not true! So I restored it. As well as many others. The lamp has been drained and regretfully one can only use Mineral Oil these days. Use nothing else, PLEASE! This lamp will require 2 pints of unscented Mineral Oil. Regretfully. The old"Rain Oil" is not made anymore. However i have found that Mineral Oil attracts dust. Therefore. When the oil is no longer clear, NEW Mineral only. Motor works great. Takes a couple minutes for the oil to get through all the lines. Remember, this item is 40-50 years old. Removing mineral oil is easy. 3 screws and the base comes ... moreoff. Throw the base in the sink, some Dawn Dish Soap. There will be a little residue of Mineral Oil in the lamp when i ship it. It's impossible to get it out of all the lines. It has a new 40 watt bulb. I would recommend not using anything brighter. The original greenery was cleaned. Some fell apart. So I mixed some of the"good" old with the new greenery. I think it looks sweet! Remember: 2 pints of unscented mineral oil. Or wrecked motor, plain and simple. Because. This is a grist mill, please keep in mind, there is a little"splattering" from the wheel on occasion. Once the mill wheel gets going. It moves briskly. I have tested this lamp off and on. For 6 months, to make sure it worked properly. I am now satisfied to release it for sale. Remember. Level table top! In this condition and the style. Table Top Models are getting very hard to find these days. This one is a beauty. I've put a lot of hours into this lamp. VERY VERY COOL! For your consideration. A vintage porcelain vase in an unusual shirt and tie design. The vase came from the mid-century estate of an extremely prominent Texas family here in Austin. I have not been able to find any information on the maker, Valfre, and suspect the vase is a studio piece. The vase has a playful, Fornasetti feel to it. Awesome Eames Era Mid Century Modern Table Lamp Lava Glaze and Brushed Brass
Here is a truly awesome brass and lava glaze table lamp in the style of Eames/ MCM/ Danish Modern. Overall height is 42' The top brass column is 2 1/4" in diameter x 8 1/2" tall. The brass disc is 7 3/4" across. The hour glass shaped brass column is 8 1/4" tall. The lava glaze bulbous base is 9 3/4" across x 3 1/4" tall. The original felt pad is missing from the base. Brown cord is about 6' long. Great working condition. Unfortunately I was unable to find any maker's marks. The lamp is in excellent vintage condition. I found no chips or cracks to the pottery portion. No dents or damage to the brass column. The switch works great. This lamp is very heavy! Please view all photos and ask questions before bidding. Selling this set of four Cleo Baldon Iron Barstools. All are in great vintage condition. One chair has a break in the weld but it is an easy fix(see photo) and doesn't hinder the function of the chair. I just noticed it when I removed the cushions to photo. Normal wear for the age so please see photos as part of the description. Cushions seem to be reupholstered and are missing some snaps and one button. Super nice and rather rare and heavy iron. MID CENTURY MODERN ORIGINAL 1951 SLIPPER CHAIR EAMES ERA VINYL LOUNGE EXCELLENT
At auction we present this near-pristine mid century slipper chair. Finished in shiny and obviously very durable vinyl or naugahyde. This chair is stamped November, 1951 on the underside and its style is right out of the Dick Van Dyke Show! Designed for use as an accent in a bedroom or foyer it was never intended for rugged usage or excessive amounts of weight. The whitewash stained legs are in very nice condition albeit there is some scuffing; the vinyl itself is stunningly intact with almost no condition issues at all. The chair measures 28" high, 23" front to back and 19" wide. The back can easily be disassembled for shipping. Local pickup is an option. Please feel fee to ask questions!
