We found these in a three seasons porch at a lake shore ... moreestate. Although not in poor condition, we felt the needed some love and restoration. We have re-finished the black bases and white wire seat shells with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality enamel based paint. We think they look pretty nice! One of the wire chair shells has some small broken wires and some small cracks in the front screw mounting arbors, as pictured. They do not affect the function or sturdiness of the chair. The other three shells have no broken wires or cracks. None of the chairs show any evidence of repairs, but may have a few wires that are slightly bent. We placed nylon washers between the bases and seat shells. We are also including the original bikini pads which are in fair condition. The have waste cattle hair pads and what appears to be a faux reptile skin naugahyde coverings. We feel these could be salvaged and restored with the original padding and production tags intact, if you wish. The rubber boot glides are all original with the exception of one new replacement. A few glides have some small cracks and two have back tape holding them together. We will include 2 new extra replacement glides as well. Bases will be removed for shipping. A striking and most unusual1950's era Turquoise and white ceramic and walnut lamp with matching shade. The lamp with the shade measures 33" high by 16' wide. All original including wiring. I also believe the light bulb socket to be original. But I'm not certain. Works perfectly including the 50-100-150 watt switch. Overall very good to excellent vintage condition. I see no chips nor any other damage. There is a portion of the shade where it's connected to the wire frame at the top that has separated(see photo# 6) Not that noticeable unless you are looking for it. It never bothered me because the paper portion of the shade did not move nor fall away from the top. I also turned the loose portion of the shade to the rear so it wasn't visible. A George III Solid Silver Sugar Bowl. 18 th C 1796 by Henry Chawner& John Eames A silver George III Sugar Bowl dated 1796(by the letter A) and made by Henry Chawner& John Eames(registered in London. August 1796) Some info on the makers can be found at: The maker’s mark. HC. Is shown on the underside of the base in one corner; I E also the following four hallmarks are in two of the other three corners. Viz: the date letter A and the King’s head, the lion passant. And crowned leopard’s head. All five marks can be seen in the later photos. The Sugar Bowl is in excellent condition but it appears not to have been cleaned or polished for some time and is therefore tarnished. This planter is in great condition. Hardly showing any signs of use at all. It measures about 11.5" long by about 4" wide by about 3.5" deep, all at the longest point. It is shiny black pottery or ceramic(is there a difference? and has gold along the edges. The gold was very hard for me to photograph and my clothing even reflected in it. ACK! Anyway. I hope you can see the beauty of it and it truly is much better in person. This vintage Bulova clock-radio is a marvelous example of Eames era retro design. This is a Model 140 series. Serial Number 142-8271 produced in 1961/1962. It is a shiny black with gold borders and lettering. It has an AM radio with a unique sunburst face and vacuum tube technology. It takes a while to warm up. But it does work. Obviously. Sound quality and tuning range is limited. It is 10” long. 5 ½” tall, and 4” wide from front to back. As you can see in the pictures. It has been used and has the usual scratches and scrapes for a plastic-housed radio of this age. Some of the gold-tone highlighting is worn but the face retains the wonderful retro sunburst appearance. Fantastic Mid Century tripod Sputnik 50's atomic lamp eames era
Spectacular 1950's tripod lamp. I don't know which is more stunning. The shade or the tripod base. The base is metal and brass, and the shade is fiberglass with expressionistic black and gold swirls. Roughly 24 inches tall. And 18 inches wide. I have only seen this lamp once before, sans the shade and the base was damaged. Rare! Condition: The base is near-mint to excellent condition. With minor signs of usage. The shade has no rips or tears with minor scuffs on brass rims. The main color is off-white and looks. Incredible'off' or'on' The harp is newer. Depending on the box. This might ship in two different boxes for protection. As a mid century lamp lover. For auction is this lovely old swan planter/vase. Which I have seen advertised as being made by California Potteries, though there are no maker's marks on this piece. It measures close to 8" tall, 8" long. I have looked it over carefully, and though my eyes are not 20 years old anymore, I don't see any flaws; however, it does have age-related crazing.
