We found these in a three seasons porch at a lake shore ... moreestate. Although not in poor condition, we felt the needed some love and restoration. We have re-finished the black bases and white wire seat shells with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality enamel based paint. We think they look pretty nice! One of the wire chair shells has some small broken wires and some small cracks in the front screw mounting arbors, as pictured. They do not affect the function or sturdiness of the chair. The other three shells have no broken wires or cracks. None of the chairs show any evidence of repairs, but may have a few wires that are slightly bent. We placed nylon washers between the bases and seat shells. We are also including the original bikini pads which are in fair condition. The have waste cattle hair pads and what appears to be a faux reptile skin naugahyde coverings. We feel these could be salvaged and restored with the original padding and production tags intact, if you wish. The rubber boot glides are all original with the exception of one new replacement. A few glides have some small cracks and two have back tape holding them together. We will include 2 new extra replacement glides as well. Bases will be removed for shipping. This is a Rare Vintage 1960's Max Gottschalk Leather& Iron Saucer Swivel Chair. The chair is made from top-grain cowhide on an iron swivel base. The hoop measures 30" in diameter. The chair is in great cosmetic condition with wear from use and age. Colours(left to right in first image) are greige. Seafoam green, elephant hide grey and black. Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with Vitra Eiffel baes with black nylon gliders. The contemporary version of this chair(manufactured by Vitra) is made of polypropylene. Which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully. These can also be supplied on a selection of other bases if you prefer. In very good overall condition. With just a couple of very small scuffs here and there to the edges of the shells, in keeping with their age, but nothing noticeable. Exceptional Zenith Arm Shell RAR Rocker Rocking Chair designed by Charles& Ray Eames. This chair has never been penetroled or been taken apart. It has all original screws. Large Hockey Puck shock mounts dates this chair between 1952-1955. The color is butterscotch. It is VERY Fiberous and has NO chips or cracks. The rocker base has never been detached from the chair. Screws are tight! Not sure I'd recommend taking apart for shipping! but that's up to the new owner. Rocker glides show its original patina.absolutely gorgeous chair! You are bidding on an original 1970s Krups wall clock. The face is made of black plastic with the minutes and hours hands made of white plastic. The seconds hand is made of red plastic. The clock is encased in an olive green plastic casing with a circular Perspex screen bearing white graphics standing as numbers. The clock's mechanism is placed at the back. There is a small dial to adjust the time and a small opening so that the clock can be fixed to a wall. The original Krups label is present on the face. Just Found! Fresh Pick of the Week! An Alluring Vintage Mannequin Head. Circa 1950's. She's made of Chalk Ware& is stamped FH 103. At about 14" high~7" wide at base~20" circumference, it's a nice proportion. The elongated Neck gives her a Wonderfully Classic Look. The features are also quite Attractive, eyeliner lidded deep Green Eyes, Full Rose Colored Lips, Blonde Sculpted Hair, Very Period. She is in Fair to Good Condition, some surface dirt, a mark across the back onto the base, several small areas of paint loss, see last few pics. This auction is only for the LOUNGE CHAIR. This is a VINTAGE 1950's- 1960's chair. NOT A REPRODUCTION! A wonderful Danish Modern easy chair, made in ITALY, in solid walnut. This piece has brand new upholstery fabric and new high-density foam cushions. Incredible mid-century sculptural form. Chair is exceptionally well-made. Extremely sturdy, and of the highest quality. Cushions are upholstered in a high-quality teflon-coated knit. The fabric color is"toast. Cushions are zippered for ease in cleaning. The chair retains its original finish. With a warm patina. The wood is a dark caramel brown color. The frame is solid walnut, with NO VENEER. The chair measures 27.25" tall. 28.25" wide, and 29" deep. Seat cushion height is 16" Vintage lounge chairs like this one are becoming very hard-to-find. I have included photos of all sides. So you can see the incredible condition. Chair has no chips, nicks, cracks, splits, breaks, hidden damage, or repairs. This is a very clean example. But there is some unevenness to the finish, mainly on the arms, as expected. Item Description: A classic vintage George Nelson"Action Office" Roll Top Desk for Herman Miller. This iconic Nelson Desk has a great look and practical design that will be a wonderful addition to any mid century home or office. The desk features a comfortable angled desk surface with 4 pencil drawers for storage and a large hanging file or storage area concealed by a drop down flap. This desk was well kept but does have some minor wear from regular use as detailed below. The wood roll top is in very nice condition with little wear. The sides of the desk were originally ... moreblack. The previous owner painted the sides of the desk as well as the top of the file cabinet flap in brown tones as pictured. The inside of the file cabinet has a black mark as pictured, the inside smells kind of like a wood fire(this desk came from a very cool artist's compound and spent its life next to a wood burning stove. It is not very notable if you have the flap down and kind of gives the desk great character but should be mentioned. One little spacer and screw are missing on the drop down flap glide as shown in picture 16(there is also a scratch to the side of the desk also pictured in this image) this should be an easy fix but still works fine as is- the original hardware on the other side is pictured in image 17. The drop down flap has some minor wear as pictured in pictures 8 and 9. The aluminum legs have some expected scuffs but could likely be polished. The desk surface has some light scratches and some yellow marks(mostly on the right side) which are not too distracting can probably be cleaned up(see picture 10) The wood front of the desk(visible when the roll top is in the closed position) has some light water marks as shown in picture 14. RARE Mid Century Arredoluce Stilnovo Arteluce Eames 50's ERA atomic floor lamp
Highly unusual. Dramatic, and high style 4 cone floor lamp Aside from a partial Underwriters Lab sticker. And two numbers on the bottom of the base, this lamp is unmarked. But the styling characteristics look very Italian or French. I've had this for years. And I've never seen anything like it since. The central stem is 63 inches tall. And holds two 14 inch pivoting/ ball joint double cones. Each socket holds one standard Edison bulb, for a total of 4 lights. 2 Bakelite switches operate each pairing. Like some of the better pole lamps. This lamp separates in the middle and connects with a male and female plug. Condition: Good to very good overall condition. With appropriate signs of age related usage including some uneven patina on brass. The cones can be a bit on the loose side. And don't stay in every possible position. Not ... morea major issue. Scratch on base. The stem has a slight lean to it. But there's no obvious bends or dents anywhere. I've always had 2 nickels under the base to even it out. Since I've never removed the base to. Set of 4 RARE Eames Herman Miller LKX-1 Wire Frame Lounge Chairs w/ Bikini Pads
Awesome set of 4 rare Herman Miller LKX-1 Low Lounge Chairs made in Venice. California for sale. We found these in a three seasons porch at a lake shore estate. Although not in poor condition, we felt the needed some love and restoration. We have re-finished the black bases and white wire seat shells with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality enamel based paint. We think they look pretty nice! One of the wire chair shells has some small broken wires and some small cracks in the front screw mounting arbors, as pictured. They do not affect the function or sturdiness of the chair. The other three shells have no broken wires or cracks. None of the chairs show any evidence of repairs, but may have a few wires that are slightly bent. We placed nylon washers between the bases and seat shells. We are also including the original bikini ... morepads which are in fair condition. The have waste cattle hair pads and what appears to be a faux reptile skin naugahyde coverings. We feel these could be salvaged and restored with the original padding and production tags intact, if you wish. The rubber boot glides are all original with the exception of one new replacement. A few glides have some small cracks and two have back tape holding them together. We will include 2 new extra replacement glides as well. Bases will be removed for shipping. Vintage 2 Mid Century Selig Eames Style Lounge Chairs with Ottomans
Up for sale are 2 Vintage Mid Century Selig Eames Style Lounge Chairs with Ottomans. These used beauties are from the 1960's. The photographs were taken to show that beauty as well as highlight the worn areas. The springs work good. Everything turns and there is no rust on the chrome. The covering is still pretty much in tact with only one spot of the white cord showing on one side of seat which the last photograph shows. Hard to believe they have had 50 some years worth of wear. One chair is missing a seat button and the other seat button is loose. That chair has about 3 inches of loose bead trim in the front that would be an easy fix. The other chair has a loose seat button. The tops of the buttons are dented. No deep scratches in the wood. There are plastic inserts on the end of each of the leg braces. There is one missing from a chair ... moreand one from an ottoman. One ottoman looks as if half the veneer has been replaced at one time. The 11th photograph shows that.There is veneer broken off on that one and some on one chair. I have done my best to let you know of damage to these pieces. They really are still nice looking. This is a vintage steelcase adjustable swiveling office chair. The backrest and chair height are both adjustable. And the four point base has casters so the chair is easy to maneuver and move around as needed. Chair does have the steelcase tag, as pictured. The upholstey is all original, and had some wear typical of such a vintage piece. Also, the chair itself has some scratches and such on parts of the frame. Six drawers offering ample storage with black/chrome pulls I have pictured several bubbles in the wood on top of the desk.
