We found these in a three seasons porch at a lake shore ... moreestate. Although not in poor condition, we felt the needed some love and restoration. We have re-finished the black bases and white wire seat shells with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality enamel based paint. We think they look pretty nice! One of the wire chair shells has some small broken wires and some small cracks in the front screw mounting arbors, as pictured. They do not affect the function or sturdiness of the chair. The other three shells have no broken wires or cracks. None of the chairs show any evidence of repairs, but may have a few wires that are slightly bent. We placed nylon washers between the bases and seat shells. We are also including the original bikini pads which are in fair condition. The have waste cattle hair pads and what appears to be a faux reptile skin naugahyde coverings. We feel these could be salvaged and restored with the original padding and production tags intact, if you wish. The rubber boot glides are all original with the exception of one new replacement. A few glides have some small cracks and two have back tape holding them together. We will include 2 new extra replacement glides as well. Bases will be removed for shipping. Cannot see the imprinted name under the designer, which is probably the actual Danish furniture maker. Believe the H&S is just the importer, but we could be wrong. The important part here is the designer, Mr. Madsen. We more often see his GORGEOUS desks, but we have NEVER come across a little table like this. Perfect size for low Danish modern pieces. Nice next to your low-profile teak recliner or between two sections of your mod sectional. The teak has a gorgeous red patina that only comes with age-and the photos did not come close to conveying the color or how nice it is. The photo that has the fruit on the table looks closer to the red in person, but monitors and screens are so varied. Let's just be clear, this is a rich, red old-growth teak patina, all original, only oil conditioning it. With older teak like this, you WILL need to keep it oiled for best results. This was oiled ONE WEEK prior to taking photos and it looks amazing. We normally do not oil furniture, but the owne regularly oiled it about once every 2-3 weeks, and we wanted to keep up the routine. You are bidding on an original 1960s desk lamp designed by Louis Kalff for Philips. The lampshade is made of sheet metal lacquered a rare chocolate brown on the outside and white on the inside. The lampshade presents with a circular cut out and rests on a metal structure fitted around the Bakelite bulb casing. The casing is itself encased in a metal cylinder lacquered chocolate brown. The stem is made of brass. The tripod base is made of three metallic slender feet fitted around a central metal piece. All lacquered chocolate brown. The original switch is placed on the cord. Good/ fair condition and in full working order. There are age related scratches. Marks and small chips on the chocolate brown lacquer work, particularly on the bulb casing cylinder and the tripod base. 50's Eames Herman Miller Parchment/Ivory Chair w Removable Alexander Girard Pad
Listed for sale is a rather rare early fiberglass armchair. It is an early-mid 50's shell by Eames for Herman Miller with an early upholstered pad. This example is a brown and black pad with Alexander Girard fabric. The unique aspect about these chairs is that the pads were not adhered with foam and upholstery to the actual fiberglass. So a finished and beautiful shell is underneath if you desire to remove the pad(a simple pull-off process) I personally think the upholstery looks great and very unique, so I have kept it on. The base is an early x base with solid metal legs. The white area you see is paint or tape(I do not recall) and can be removed with a bit of elbow grease if you'd like me to do that. Essentially, it is a near perfect shell in great shape. Please also refer to many similar items in my store. Fiberglass Excellent ... morecondition with no visible damage. There are also no holes under the chair. Meaning it would be a perfect shell on the opposite side. The finish itself is beautiful. It has not been coated or refinished and is original. Pad The upholstered pad is in essentially perfect condition with no wear to the fabric that is visible and no tears. RARE Mid Century Modern 1950s LARGE table floor desk lamp Herman Miller Eames?
About 4 1/2ft tall. about 5ft tall when extended(yes. It gets taller! amazing show stopper conversation piece lamp. I promise everybody will be awestruck by it. The shade is fiberglass with popcorn style cloth over it and 3 rings at the bottom. The lamp itself is some type of ceramic or plaster coating with some minor but repairable damage. Uses 2 lightbulbs each with their own pullchain. There's no finial, just a screw. but given the size, you'll never see inside of it. I believe the wood is walnut. not sure who made this but it certainly was not a Sears& Roebuck blue light special Shape wise it reminds me of a jet engine motor with the shade being the case for the engine. Eames Style Mid-Century Modern Lounge Chair 60s Vintage This is a well-made Eames- inspired lounge chair… Not sure of maker. Not Herman Miller, but could be a high-end Plycraft by Selig from the 1960s. It has a better and more stable base than the typical Plycraft. With 5 legs rather than the usual 4. This is a rare version of the Eames style chairs of the era. Of much higher quality than most. Very sturdy base. Back, seat, and arms. Nice, soft pliable Faux leather. Chrome base in perfect condition. Wood back is beautiful. Appears to be bent walnut plywood planks. Has a few very unobtrusive scratches. Caramel/brown color is a little more intense in some areas-see photos. And one button in the seat is loose but still embedded/attached and it’s nothing you can feel or have to repair. There are thin stretch marks and a tiny nick on the side ... moreof the right side arm rest. There is a visible but shallow scratch in the left arm rest. Rare mid century modern Eames Style Brown Tan Chair. Absolutely stunning condition. Came from an estate filled with 60s furniture all kept in immaculate condition. Someone had a large appreciation for this style as shown in how well it was kept. This item is made from Faux leather and padded with Urethane Foam. Original Tag is on both the chair and the ottoman. But neither show a Definitive maker. Top Part of the tag on the ottoman says# 3 followed by the number 768-10. the chair shows ottoman and chair numbered as 768-14/1 followed by tgl caramel which i assume is reffering to the color. Item is made with layered plywood as the base. Seems very high quality and well made. Seems like an expensive option to getting the real eames lounge chair. The metal base appears to be chrome and has a strong support underneath. The only issues that come ... morealong with this chair are some light scratches along the back that can easily be cleaned and fixed. The only other issue is one button missing on the bottom. This chair is extremely comfortable and may be even more than the Original Eames chair( dont tell anyone though. These are getting harder and hard to find so dont let this one go. This lamp is in the likes of design by Frederic Weinberg who created many fine lamps for FAIP. FAIP stands for Fine Arts In Plastic. This lamp is made of plaster and shaped in a rounded pot. Has a rough gravely sand finish with a leaf stamp. A raised retro tile like pattern in a teal blue green color adds a splash of design with a 50s flair. No chips. Breaks, repairs to this lamp. With a close look you might some slight wear to the painted brown or teal greens, but it is expected due to vintage age and use. The lamp is mounted on a brushed brass plated round base. Mid century modern extendable slat wood bench. Manufacturer unknown. Probably dates to the 1950's or early 1960's. Has 2 sections of slats in a frame. And tapered, danish modern style peg legs with brass chromed pivoting feet caps. The slats slide freely in a track in the two outer slats, but do not come out completely. This bench/coffee table measure approx. 48" x 18" x 14 1/2" tall and extends up to a total of approx. 59 1/2" long. Has quite a lot of nicks. Scratches, wear and a few stains to the original black finish. Also has what might be some splintering or just heavier wear to the wood at the corners/edges of a few of the slats and there the feet caps are corroded and slightly rusty. Still very sturdy/solid. Vintage Retro double Gooseneck Table Lamp with Fiberglass Shades. Switch on base is a three way(right side. Left side, both lamps) Lamp works and I see no problems with the wire. Cord has a very unusual"extra tap" devise. You can plug another item into the cord. It works. Everything is covered with a mixed brown. Tan fiberglass coating. Looks a bit like grass cloth. The shade must be red under the fiberglass because the shades glow red like buried lava when the light is turned on. Really cool Atomic looking! Some yellowing on the inside of the shades. VINTAGE EAMES ERA MID CENTURY MODERN DANISH 1960'S RWAY BENTWOOD CHAIRS & TABLE
We are offering a beautiful mid-century modern 1960's mahogany table with white laminate top. It is accompanied by 4 classic bentwood chairs. The table is signed R Way and even has the it's original paper tag. Rway, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The table is embossed Rway on the underside. I am limited to 12 photos but will be happy to send you a photo of the signature upon request. The chairs are unsigned but are original to the table. R Way has been producing quality furniture since 1881 under various names becoming Rway in 1942. Although I can not definitively attribute the set to a specific designer some very accomplished designer's have contributed to the Rway label over the years. Including Eliel Saarinen and John Mont. The 4 chairs are all in excellent condition. Other than a few very minor dings they are without issue. All have ... moretheir original metal glides. The table is also in excellent condition and other than a few small chips to the laminate without issue. I have offered magnified photos of these areas. The laminate is bright white without discoloration or stains. The table measures 42" in diameter and 29 1/2" high. The legs have 3" solid brass sleeves with an attractive unpolished patina. The feet have metal glides matching the same on the chairs. The chairs measure 30 1/2" high at the back. The seat and back 20" wide and the seat 15" deep. Sorry. The leaves for the table are unavailable. The previous owner indicated that the 2 leaves were probably left behind when they moved from Wisconsin to Florida 20 years ago. I assure you will not be disappointed in this very nice set upon your inspection when picking up or delivered. Local pick up and I will consider delivery within 100 miles. Vintage 1950s Eames Era Mid Century Modern MCM Danish Mod Side Table Teak Wood
Well cared for Mid Century Modern Danish Mod Side Table with Shelf in Excellent Vintage Condition! There are a few VERY SLIGHT rub marks to the finish from normal use but NO damage to the wood. Table is made of quality construction and is still nice and tight. There is one INCREDIBLY SMALL missing piece of veneer to the top front(looking at it) screw head plug. The original finish was covered in white paint but this is the original stain because only the clear shellac was removed when the paint was stripped. The plugs that cover the screw heads were missing so new plugs were made of Mahogay. There was also a veneered band that was around the edges of the shelf& table tops but it was so badly damaged it didnt survive the restoration. I didnt replace it because you could paint the edge gloss black or brown or add a black or brown leather ... morestrip to match the cushions on your couch or chair this would be next to. OR add a brass strip to match the Teak with Brass Trim MCM Lamp you probably will put on it. The table top is 24" deep X 24" wide(at its widest points) 19-1/4" high to the surface and made of veneered plywood. Vintage Flying Saucer Lamp Atomic Eames Era Light Mid Century Lamp Space Age UFO
For your consideration is a vintage mid century modern black and brushed brass plated desk or table lamp. The arm swivels 360 degrees on its square very heavy base. It has a very subtle original overall craquelure finish to the black surfaces. There are slight places where paint is off on the base. And a small ding and crease in the top which failed to photograph well. There are numerous discolorations on the brass finish as well. It is, however, highly presentable and functional as is.
