We found these in a three seasons porch at a lake shore ... moreestate. Although not in poor condition, we felt the needed some love and restoration. We have re-finished the black bases and white wire seat shells with two coats of primer and three coats of high quality enamel based paint. We think they look pretty nice! One of the wire chair shells has some small broken wires and some small cracks in the front screw mounting arbors, as pictured. They do not affect the function or sturdiness of the chair. The other three shells have no broken wires or cracks. None of the chairs show any evidence of repairs, but may have a few wires that are slightly bent. We placed nylon washers between the bases and seat shells. We are also including the original bikini pads which are in fair condition. The have waste cattle hair pads and what appears to be a faux reptile skin naugahyde coverings. We feel these could be salvaged and restored with the original padding and production tags intact, if you wish. The rubber boot glides are all original with the exception of one new replacement. A few glides have some small cracks and two have back tape holding them together. We will include 2 new extra replacement glides as well. Bases will be removed for shipping. Pair of TWO Mid Century Eames Era Vintage Chunky Lucite Resin Table Lamps Pillow
Great pair of space age lava rock Lucite lamps! We purchased these from a vintage store a few years ago and are now changing décor from oranges/yellow to blues/greens. I am also throwing in a vintage pillow that matches the lamp perfectly! I believe these were originally attached to a floor lamp as they have a couple on tiny holes on one end where they were attached. The bases are IKEA table lamp frames and each lampshade sits on top of those. Lamps are approx. 18" tall and 7" wide. Great colors in oranges. Yellows, reds and browns. This is a very rare piece of mid century furniture. It's a yellow Parsons(not sure but same style) rolling bookcase/shelf with sliding door storage on bottom shelf. This can be used up against a wall or as a room divider since it's the same on both sides. It measures 30" wide x 40" tall and is 11" deep. Made of plastic with plastic faux wood sliding doors. Condition:overall it's in excellent condition especially for it's age. There are a few scratches on the sliding door but with a dark brown Sharpie you can have it looking like new again. There is a very slight variation in the yellow color but not very noticeable. Comes from a smoke free home and it's been cleaned. PAIR VTG 50s EAMES MID CENTURY SPACE AGE BLUE 3 WAY TABLE LAMPS FIBERGLASS SHADE
Really fabulous pair of 50s lamps. Blue and gold ceramic base, brass tone center piece to the three way socket. I have been selling vintage lighting for about 10 years but I have never seen a lamp that switches on by using the center piece, if you turn it three clicks it turns the lamp on three settings(when using a three way bulb) and then turns the lamp off again. It's an incredibly retro cool"space age" feature! Both lamps works perfectly. Big fiberglass shades with gold cross hatch design finish the look. These lamps have little in the way of flaws, they really are almost"movie set" quality- the only flaws I can find is some wear to the metal center piece or rod from the base to the socket(this is the part that turns to turn the lamps on) Also, one shade has a small crack, it is closed and you can't see it, ... moreit's only about 2" long, I tried to picture it but could only get a slight shot of it from the inside of the shade. It is extremely minor but needs to be mentioned. I am listing this amazing and rare JBL Paragon up for sale. Ok. Here is the deal, if you are seriously looking for a Paragon to own then you have probably already done your research and know what you are talking about. For that reason I am not listing any specifics here. This is a very high dollar item so I would like anyone interested to come out to beautiful Palm Springs, CA and take a closer look and listen in person or if you are too far away or too busy, send someone you trust out. After all you would never buy a vintage car sight unseen! well actually I did once and boy did I get screwed) I got The Paragon from the son of the original owner who believes it was purchased new in around 1964. It is in beautiful original condition and has never been opened up or tampered with in any way. I know everyone wants all sorts of serial numbers.etc ... moreand we can check all those out when you come to look at it in person. I have McIntosh. Dynaco, Fisher and even a very rare HH Scott 290 tube amplifier that we can hook it up to and listen. I hope this does not seem rude but I think it makes perfect sense for anyone that really wants one of these to come out and see it. We are only 90 miles from Los Angeles and if you need to stay overnight the hotel rates in Palm Springs are very low during the summer desert heat. Nice pair of lounge chairs. With nice brass legs and beautiful lines. I was told the chairs are stamped 1954 under the fabric, but haven't seen it myself. They were probably recovered in the 1970's with a cheveron print fabric. Fabric is decent, but would benefit being redone in period appropriate fabric. Large vintage estate found SAARINEN style heavy aluminum coctail table base in excellent condition. Ready to add the top of your choice. This base is quite heavy duty and large and has a large very heavy cone shaped lead weight that goes into the bottom of the base for added weight making this suited for a very large heavy top if that is your desire. This orginally had a 54" round marble top that unfortunately got broken during a move and discarded some time ago. Base is un marked as far as I can tell I am unsure if this is an original Saarinen for Knoll? Burke? or who the original manufacturer was. But I do know it is of superior quality and not a recent flimsey knock off of a modern classic. MID CENTURY REPLACEMENT LEGS(4)/CHAIR/TABLE/6 1/4" long EAMES ERA FURNITURE
Listed is a set of four Mid Century replacement legs for a chair. Table, stool, etc. purchased at an estate. These are original and NOT reproductions. The color of the wood is a Champagne much like Heywood Wakefield stains. The brass fittings on the end are adjustable to keep the furniture piece from rocking. There is a white plastic base on the legs to keep from scratching your floors. The tops of each leg has a screw in attachment. Each leg is 6 1/4" tall. Set 4 Mid Century 50's Eames Zenith X Base D Side Shell Fiberglas Chair Bases
This auction is for a set of 4(four) Mid Century early 50's Zenith Eames X base side shell chair BASES(i am throwing the shells in for free unless the high bidder doesn't want them) Designed by Charles and Ray Eames. These I believe are an early version of the chair. The X-Base chair is the first generation Eames fiberglass chair with the solid metal legs.These are an x base side shell in painted/ vintage condition. Lots off heavy fiber, I think#2& 4 in the photos(from the left working right) have the stress cracks on corners/ at the bends, they are noted for this) The X bases are all stamped D in the middle of the X's and none of them retain the original boot glides. Out of the 4 chairs there are 3 of the original screws missing. I don't know how to clean the paint off off the shells(it seems to scrap off easily in the ... moresmall spot I tried) but I leave paint removal to the knowledgable buyer. I am selling the heavy X bases and will throw in the shells for free(no reason to complain about the painted shells as they are a gift) unless you just want the bases and screws. This signed Martz ceramic lamp is 35 in. high with a 7 ¼ in. diameter. The base is 22 in. to the electrics and the shade harp is 12 in. I do not have the shade. Overall condition is very good with some tiny marks and faint shading in the glaze. The Teak has some small faint marks(see photos) Similar lamps were produced in the 50s and 60s. The lamp works.
