It's a day later and I've brought back what I thought was the 4th bell but it has some dissimilarites that would exclude it from being one of the originals. I've included some extra pics to illustrate: 1. On the positive side. It IS larger than the others so it fits the group acoustically. 2. The clapper is same type and configuration as is the bronze bell and spring attachment to bell. 3. Wall attachment is a bracket instead of a spike. 4. Flat mounting spring winding is only a turn and a half while the others are two full turns. 5. Orientation of the bell crank spring attaching point is at 3 o'clock instead of 12. 6. Patina on the bronze doesn't match the other 3. Anyhow. This is prob why I didn't mind putting the odd-ball bell on an outside swing set 3-4 years ago since it didn't exactly match the others. Cast I ron Punch and Judy Door Stop Set Each figure is approximately 13" tall. And w eighs approximately 9 p ounds. They both have only LIGHT wear. With only a few spots of LIGHT rust. Judy has a small dab of whit e paint on its right edge. Each figure has a f ew spots that appear to not been cast(thin spots? and some what look to me to be minor casting flaws. I have no idea o f when. Or where they were manufactured. The only identifying marks that I could find are" C47" and"B57" on the b ack of Punch. And"C48" and B58" on the back of Judy. This piece is coming to you in“as is” condition– it should make a fantastic restoration project resulting in a fabulous looking door stop in the end. Please note that the rust color is showing up very bright and very pronounced- it is not a severe as it looks. This old door stop features a family of 3– the rifle toting dad. Mom and child– sitting at the front of an old covered wagon. On the right, there is a cowboy holding the reins of two heads of cattle, and on the ... moreleft, there is another cowboy riding a horse. This piece stands 6 ½” tall, measures 5 ¼” from side to side, is 1” wide at the base, and weighs in at just over 4lbs. There is old paint on the front of this piece– you can still see the red. There are spots where the old paint has come off in large flakes(around the top of the covered wagon) and also small flakes(in the red at the front of the wagon) There is overall light surface rust on the back side and around the outside edges. The front scene also has a few spots of rusting. Some areas of cracking paint, and natural patina. The door stop has no cracks, breaks, or repairs to the metal. Original Cast Iron Door Stop Saddlebred KINGS GENIUS 1938 Rife Loth Corp
Here is an original cast iron doorstop of the foundation sire for Saddlebreds. King's Genius. It has his name on the bottom and on the back, cast into the horse is copywrighted 1938, Rife Loth Corp. Waynesburg, Va. It measures 11 3/4" to top of ears, 12" long from nose to tail and the base is 12" long. Some of the original black paint is still there. It's rusty where there is no paint. I purchased this about 20 yrs ago at a sale. I had contacted the Saddlebred museum in Kentucky and they had told me that they have never seen an original before. They sell repros in their gift shop. HUBLEY 32 CAST IRON DOOR STOP HOUSE COTTAGE DOOR STOP
DESCRIPTION OF THIS ITEM: Based on what I was able to find. This door stop appears to match similar door stops that were advertized as Hubley 32. I found a few with slight variations also called Hubley 32. None displayed the Hubley name and only some displayed the number 32. On this door stop I am only able to find the number 32 on the back bottom left, which clearly visible in the above picture. It is clear this door stop does have age and I feel confident it is certainly not a reproduction. I am not sure if someone has at some point in time touched up the paint. Most of the paint looks old but I can not really tell if the green was touched up. This door stop measures 5-1/2" high to top of chimney, by 8-3/16 wide at the base, and 2" deep at the base. This door stop is structurally sound and complete. No cracks or chipped areas on the cast iron. The paint has some chips and blemishes. The door stop could use a cleaning. Just 10 years after Michigan became a state. Measuring 22 1/2" tall, 17 1/2" wide, and 3 1/4" deep, this Furnace Door swings open on original iron hinges and holds closed firmly with a stationary handle. It weighs 40 lbs and has an inset that measures 18 1/2" tall, 13 1/2" wide, and 3" deep. Circa late 1800's. Beautiful Victorian entry door with Norwalk hardware c 1863
We have recently removed a beautiful. Half stained glass Victorian entry door with 1860s Norwalk hardware from our home. It was fitted as a passageway door and believe it's been there since the house was built in 1983. House is very quirky-in case you're wondering what an 1860s door is doing in a 1980s home! It's pine wood- I believe. And in good condition for it's age. Lovely hand carving, particularly on the inside of the door. The glass is a mixture of different colors/textures including blue. Amber, red and green- very pretty. 2 of the glass panes have small holes in and 2 others have cracks. It is hinged on the right if you were standing outside facing the entry. In our home it was fitted as a passageway door. It is in as found condition-all I've ever done over the last 8 years is clean the door with furniture oil ... moreand the glass with warm mild detergent solution. I've never cleaned the hardware. Dimensions are 80 1/2 x 36. Hardware includes Norwalk c 1863"Bluebirds an butterflies" cast bronze mortise lock( lock box is marked Norwalk patent 1863) 2 large matching cast bronze face plates with 2 keyhole covers 2 matching cast bronze knobs. 3 matching large brass circa 1920s"Yale" ball tipped hinges. Vintage Sliding Fire Door & Hardware Commercial Factory Antique Barn Door
1930's fire door 2-1/2" thick 68" wide 92" high on tall side 88" tall on short side. Manufactured by Willis in Galesburg IL. Around the 1930's UL Tags on the door. There is a counter weight attached by a rope to a pulley system that allows the very heavy door to slide open and closed with very little effort. In the event of a fire the rope burns off and the counter weights fall to the floor and the door will automatically slide closed. For sale locally so auction may end at any time if sold.
