I am unsure of who made the knobs as there are no makers markings or dates but I would think they were made in the late 19th century. About the 1880's. The knobs are a standard size 2¼" in diameter and the overall length of each knob is app. 2½" The knobs are uncleaned and as found with an excellent surface patina. The only flaws worth mentioning are that the set screw in one has the slot of the screw messed up to the point that I was not able to remove it, the second knob has had the head of the set screw broken off, so the remaining screw section will need to be drilled or gound out to remove the piece of steel shaft that protrudes. As they sit this great vintage pait of door knobs displays beautifully and definately rate as one of the more unusual and beautiful door knob sets produced. This great antique door knob pair will make an excellent addition to someone's collection, shouldn't it be yours! RARE The North Face VE-24 Tent in Perfect Condition Reinforced Door and Floor
Up for grabs is a VE-24 with it's Reinforced Door. Reinforced Floor, and Easy Access Fly with awning. ALL made in the USA and it Excellent condition with a repair made to the mosquito net of one door. See Last picture. NO UV Damage at all! No Fading at all! I tried to take pictures of areas that would show wear like the corners, floor, pole sleeves etc. Photos of this tent are not on the internet that I could find but with the original fly it has an awning not a hooped vestibule. There is a little writing above the door from a big group camping trip for ID. There is a picture where the tent has antenna. Those are the awning poles. The tent poles show a few marks where they have rubbed against each other but they are new and have never been wind stressed or snow loaded they just mark easy. It is sad how good of condition this tent is as ... moreit makes me reflect on how little use it got. The picture 2nd to last shows the fly on top of the new fly so you can compare fabric and color and see there is no fading. The picture of the yellow bed is the original fly top up. Again the last picture is showing the repair where a part of the screen pulled off and was sewn back on. Solid repair and NO other flaws. Vintage 1920's to 1950's Set of Glass Door Knobs In Mostly Decent Condition
Originally used by my grandfather at a house that was built in 1925. These items were recovered from storage in October 2010. Each rod measures between 1/2 to over 4 inches and did cause quite a small stain on the cloth I normally use to shoot the pictures. Measurements are given inside a small box. I salvaged these from a very old door that was attached to a house that was built in 1933. I am not an expert. But it appears that these are much older. That is just my opinion and not a fact I am stating. Look at the photos closely for condition and as part of the description. The knobs appear to be hand hammered to give the modeled look.
