It has an elaborate cobalt blue decoration with vines, flower and leaves, tendrils etc. This jug is about 19" tall and approx. 10-3/4" across the diameter at the base and about 34-35 inches in circumference at the widest part of the jug. The top and side(of the spout) have very old chips. There is an"in-the-making" defect in the front that you can view with the e-bay magnifier. McCormick Platte Valley straight Corn Whiskey crock jug distilled and bottled by McCormick Distilling Co. Weston. Mo. 4/5 quart. IT IS EMPTY. On bottom stamped in blue ink is 219-1978 Liquor Bottle 11-D16. Light brown on bottom and darker brown on the top. Has the original cork with a wood screw head. A little bit of the red paint is off on one side of the cap and The cork has been broke a little on the end. At least I think it was supposed to be longer than it is. But at least there is a cork because a lot of these don't have any. Jug is in good condition with just a 1/8 in chip on the neck opening of which you can see in my pictures. The light brown has some grazing. Stands 7 1/2 in tall and 4 1/4 in across the bottom.

Up for bidding is an antique FRED K. MYLL CO 1/2 gallon jug. 169 Monroe Avenue. Detroit. Mich. Fred Myll made many liquors, wines, and ryes. He was a wholesale distributor in the Eastern Market area of Detroit during the late 1800's into the early 1900's. The stoneware advertising jug is in great shape with no cracks or other damage. For sale is a Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar or Crock. This is an old Wax Sealer sometimes referred to as Earthenware. The jar is 4.75" tall and 4.75" in diameter. The jar is in good antique condition with some edge chipping and a ghost hairline on the base that does not show on the inside. The jar will still hold water. I rarely find these pieces in this size. I have tested it for lead so I would date it to about 1880 to 1900. Glass jars were still quite expensive so stoneware jars were still in use during the late 19th century especially in the South. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. Up for your bidding consideration is a vintage stoneware jug made in the USA. On the front in gold is a crest with words that appear to be Latin. Under the crest it says in gold Spring'71. It is approximately 10" tall and 5 1/4" across the bottom. There are no chips. Cracks, or signs of repair. There are a few scuff marks on the bottom, the cork has a chip out of it, and on the brown stoneware there is tape residue and on the tape it apparently said 100. Pot-Belly Crock Jug - Southwest Style
You are viewing a very nice little Vintage Potbelly Style pottery jug. This jug is more of a true deep golden yellow than it appears in the photos. Closer to the 2nd photo in tone, but a very rich golden yellow color, a true Southwest color. This is a fairly small. But not at all miniature size jug, with a nicely round shape. It has no cracks or chips, only a bit of scuffing from sitting on a table or shelf, the normal marks you would expect in a vintage piece of pottery. There is a marking on the bottom. Which I tried to show in the 3rd photo, which looks like the number 175. This jug measures about 5" across the thickest part and stands about 5" tall. This is a very cute and nice jug. The crock also has a blue crown stamp on the back with the number 1(see pic) The crock is a very heavy piece with hand painted Jemima/Black Americana dolls on the front and a heart with splash designs on the back. Small Brown Beehive Stone Crock Jar with Metal Lid Insert Solid No Cracks. The opening at the top is 2" the metal insert looks like it would come out. It is sitting in there crooked and I'm not going to attempt to remove it. The base is about 5 1/4" and it's about 6 1/2" tall. There are a couple of small chigger bites in the lip which can be seen in the photos. I don't see any cracks in the jar itself although the finish has crackling as would be expected. Very nice collectible Cruiskeen Lawn Mitchell's Old Irish Whisky crock. The front of the bottle reads Belfast. THE BOTTLE IS EMPTY. The stamp on the bottom identifies the maker, Port-Dundas Pottery, Glasgow. There is a statement on the backside of the bottle, shown in the fifth photo, which reads: Caution, Our Whisky when in jars and bottles is protected by branded corks and patent capsules without which none is genuine. Any one re-filling our packages for trade purposes will be prosecuted. The crock is in excellent condition with a couple of small manufacturing"boo-boo's" One on the handle and one on the back of the crock, both of which look like tiny holes, as shown in photos five and seven. Otherwise, there is a little roughness to the glaze in spots and a little paint bleeding under the glaze but these imperfections ... moreare all part of the manufacturing process and are what gives this piece its character and makes it one of a kind. Nice piece of antique American history from Ohio OLD CROCK POTTERY BOWL ~ ACTUALLY IT'S A STONEWARE BAKING DISH It's HUGE measuring 10" x 5.5" high AUTHENTIC AND HAS BEEN USED FOR MANY- MANY- YEARS! No cracks ~ has all the original beauty& charm. There is a"blurp" in the nice thick edge. But is was in the making and original to the bowl. The bottom has advertising that says"COOK-RITE COOKIN WARE ECONOMY HEALTH ~ REG U.S. PAT OFF" but I don't see a patent number. I have not cleaned this and looks like it may have been used a lot. It has a raised pattern of LEAVES& PEACHES& FRUIT all the way around the base and fork-marks(like you do on pie crust edges) all the way around the 2" rim and the bottom edge. Has 2 small"lips" to assist as handles. The bottom has raised rings& ... more4 vents to keep it from sitting on the floor of the oven. These were made from the 1930's to 1945 approx. ABSOLUTLEY GORGEOUS IN IT'S NATURAL STATE& ORIGINAL PATINA! Primitive Antique Stoneware Crock Old estate find in New England. This is a nice oval Shaped Stoneware Crock with blue cobalt decoration. Two applied handles at the sides and early glaze. The jug is in very good condition and nicely decorated on both sides and on the handles. There are some slight glazing flaws and marks from when it was made. Great display piece Crock measures about 8.75" tall. And is about 10" across at the two handles. Nice Primitive Stoneware Crock with Original Cobalt Design. Great Ovoid Shape. Great display piece.
