Additional storage is found below the desk area consisting of an area with a ornate door measuring 20" x 14 1\2" deep. The drawer below this storage area measures 2" x 14 1\2" deep x 5" High. To the left of the desk is a tall shelf area with four adjustable shelves for storage or acting as a bookcase again having fine ornate wood carving over the glass door front. The ornate carvings on the front of the fold-down desk and upper glass door appear Victorian. Work is needed for refinishing this piece to bring it back to its original beauty. Some wooden back pieces shown in front. Need to be fixed to the back of the desk area and one more missing piece to make the back complete. Overall measurements: 63 ½” high 42 3\4" Wide 14 ½” deep The carved decorative top piece laying in front is shaped to hold a mirror which fits between the pieces and sits on the top of the desk area. The Hardware and wooden casters are original. All hardware appears to be brass. It is missing one wooden caster from one of the legs. Everything on the piece is original. The large Secretary Desk Bookcase has a half round mirror on the left top side over the desk area and the right top side has a double brass finial and rod gallery over the bookcase area. Everything is completely original except for the mirror which was broken has been replaced. There is a small wood professional repair to the bottom left corner of the drop front lid but that is minor and matches the grain and not noticeable. It has been completely refinished to restore its original Golden Oak finish and ready for your beautiful home. Notice the beautiful quartered sawed oak grain through out the piece and the deep heavy ornate carvings and bead work. What a great piece of furniture. It doesn't get any better than this! There are three shelves in the bookcase that are adjustable. There is one shelf below in the lower double door compartment that locks underneath the desk. Each drawer and door has a skeleton key lock with two keys included. Inside the desk is a beautiful pigeon hole interior and one small drawer with a brass knob. The piece is complete with an open shelf above the drop down desk. The piece is 50" wide. 14" deep, and 80 1/4" or 6 ft. 8 1/4" tall. The drop down lid is 22" x 15 7/8" with the inside interior measuring 10 3/4" x 22 1/2" The upper open shelf space is 12" x 22" The arched bookcase door is 58 3/4" high x 21 3/4" wide, and the bottom double door compartment is 22" x 15 3/4" A must for the American Oak collector's Side By Side Secretary Bookcase collection. He was 96 when he passed and he got this desk from his parents estate in Spokane Wa. when they passed. It is made from solid oak and on the ends of the top board you can see that the top is tongue and grooved. Very hard to show in the pictures. I don't know tiger oak from quarter sawn oak so you be the judge. There is some what appears to be grey paint on one corner of the top. please see pictures. Someone drove 2 finish nails about 2' long into the top of one of the legs. One leg has a chip out of it at the bottom about the size of a quarter and another leg has a little grey paint at the bottom of one side. See pictures. I have made no attempt to repair. Clean or restore the finish on this desk, it is in the condition it was given me in. All in all this desk is in great vintage condition given its age. Top of desk 36 1/2" wide x 24 1/2" deep and the desk top is 29 1/2" above the floor. Will ship via Greyhound Bus to a station of your choice for you to pick up. I've detailed the restoration work this lovely piece will need to bring it back to it's former full value in my detailed description of condition above and in my multiple photographs included to accurately represent the design, quality, condition and construction as well as the overall beauty and potential of this marvelous old piece of mahogany furniture bargain priced as a restoration project. It has had a few small professional repairs to the veneer previously. This wonderful cabinet travels easily in two pieces and stands 68 1/2 inches tall by 42 1/2 inches wide and 20 inches deep front to back. The top bookcase section measures 33 1/2 inches tall by 42 1/2 inches wide at the bonnet by 12 3/4 inches deep front to back. It has 12 panes of glass in it's upper cabinet doors and three small drawers run across the bottom within the top cabinet just below the two display shelves. The bottom bureau section measures 36 inches tall with a 35 inch tall flat surface height when the desk is closed and a 3/4 inch recessed space along the back for the upper bookcase to rest in. The base is 42 1/2 inches wide and 20 inches deep front to back and had three drawers. Inside the top bookcase the cabinet measures 25 1/2 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches deep and 28 inches tall. Divided by a shelf with 12 inches clarance below the shelf and 15 inches clearance above the shelf. Below the shelves but inside the cabinet doors are three small beautifully hand dovetailed drawers, 11 1/4 wide by 5 3/4 inch front to back by 2 3/4 inch deep with the center drawer of the three actually being only 11 inches wide. The desk top writing surface when open has a surface height of 33 1/2 inches and measures a nice large 39 3/4 inches wide by 14 3/4 inches front to back with pull out supports on both sides to support

Arts Mission Bookcase. Excellent age related condition. Circa 1900. Two very large bookcases. Both being D 12 1/4. Base with drawer in great shape. And drawer opens and closes fine, as do the glass doors. Glass on both cases are wavy and old. But I can't attest to there originality. One of the glass doors has been extended at one point. Who. What, where, or why, I don't know. This is a solid wood series. Made with quartered and fumed oak. The pictures are very accurate in terms of condition and color of the wood. Which is darker then golden oak, with a reddish tint. The top piece does have a bit of lifting. But no splitting. Local pick-up. No shipping unless pre-arranged.

A very beautiful and useful stacking seven piece(includes top and base) sectional bookcase manufactured by Gunn. The oak bookcase has a mahogany finish. Measures 35” wide, 12” deep, and 69 ¾” tall. It features 2 leaded glass sections with original glass. It also has a fold-down secretary with pigeonholes, all original pieces in tact, with working lock& key. There is a large book section and a drawer section. This bookcase is original to my family. Good condition. Lead Glass all original. Secretary has all working parts including original lock& key. The backing pieces have some warping. The back left leg has some surface damage. Please refer to photos. This piece can be fully restored to its original beauty.
