antique brass nautical fireplace set ~ arts & crafts movement?
Fine old nautical theme heavy brass antique fireplace or coal set. I have been using these for years myself and only gave them a dusting as I didn't wish to harm the patination on these. I purchased these on the coast of BC in an antique shop ran by a friend. He carried many great items. The detailing is gorgeous on this wee set. 20 inches high. Condition is good. They just need to be shined up. I believe these are from the Arts& Crafts era when coal stoves were popular. A lovely set this. Comes with broom. Grabbers and shovel. The pocker was lost in a move years ago. The detail on all items and the stand is great. Note the little fingers and lock on grabbers and the nice rings at top. Releaf of boats under sail on top of stand on both sides. A heavy set for shipping.

For your consideration a Vintage Antique Bradley& Hubbard(Logo stamped in cast iron on bottom) 5 Pc Cast Iron Arts and Crafts Fireprace Tool Set. This one is really heavy. Solid, and nice. The set itself weighs about 13# Bradley& Hubbard started in the 1800's and have made quality pieces during their existance. Has brass handles on each tool and stand. Set includes the stand, shovel, grabber, poker, and brush. Black paint has worn off on several tools due to age and wear. Love the older sets which were definately made better than the newer ones. I would guess this was made around 1930's or in the arts and crafts era. Measures 28" Tall with the base measuring 9" in diameter. Brass handles are approximately 5 1/2" long. Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts Leather Topped Stool
30 x 30 23 height Beautiful art nouveau or arts and crafts footstool. All original, you can see that the beautifully worked leather is showing signs of wear and has some small tears, as in pictures. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful piece and with some TLC will work beautifully in the right environment. The stuffing is still puffy. The underside may have had some refurb as there is a foam lining under the strapping- however. It is also very old, so may be original I cannot ell. The wood is rock hard and presumably oak. It has the flowing depiction of leaves as per William Morris style. And the studding surround like Arts and Crafts, but also seems to fit the twirling patterns of Art Nouveau. An expert eye would know. There is a scrolled E in the centre. But at a glance just looks like leather work scrolling. RARE WILLIAM DE MORGAN'PINEAPPLE' SUNFLOWER RED LUSTRE TILE c1880 ARTS& CRAFTS Interesting and scarce nineteenth century William De Morgan pottery red/ ruby lustre the design known as‘pineapple/ new pineapple’ tile based on a design depicting a Sunflower. The tile is illustrated and discussed plate 54, page 66 within‘William De Morgan Tiles’ by Jon Catleugh. This tile is on a Dutch/ Poole/ Wedgwood blank. The tile measures 6 inches square approx and is in good condition and as clearly shown, the edges on one side are a little irregular/ rough, it seems reasonable to assume that this is down to the person retrieving it from a fireplace surround.

Arts and Crafts Silver Ruskin Pottery Brooch Marked
For sale here is a lovely Arts and Crafts silver brooch which has a Ruskin pottery piece mounted within it. The ceramic is in a lovely shade of mottled blue. And the frame has a delicate half-circle design around the edge. These Ruskin pieces date to the early years of the 20th Century, around 1905 and were called'enamels' by the Ruskin company. The ceramic is stamped'Ruskin' on the rear- the frame is not marked but tests as silver. The brooch is approximately 36 mm's wide. The condition is excellent. No issues- some minor crazing on the ceramic. This is a lovely Arts and Crafts brooch. 2 Matching Vintage Window sash old 6 pane 30 x 27 from 1970s Arts& Crafts
These 6 pane top sashes were removed from a large apartment complex built in the 19 7 0s. They are in fair conditions. They might have chips and dents, specially in the center pane, as you can see in the pictures. The hardware might not be the same, some of the exterior putty around the glass might be cracked here and there. The color of the existing chipping paint is off white-beige. Please find for sale a rare and beautiful antique Skønvirke silver brooch. The brooch was made or retailed by N. M. Thune of Oslo. Norway, in around 1905. It is marked Thune, and for 830 parts out of 1000 parts silver. The brooch is set with two cabochon stones, the top stone being lapis lazuli, the lower stone is labradorite we think. This piece is Danish Skonvirke(beautiful work) in style. And is reminiscent of designs by Evald Nielsen and Georg Jensen. Skonvirke was a Scandinavian aesthetic movement that was separate from but influenced by both the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements. Another treasure from Grandma's jewelry box! Beautiful hand hammered copper Arts and Crafts bracelet. I didn't want to shine this up because I think most folks would appreciate the lovely patina this piece has acquired over the years. This bracelet makes a statement and is quite big- 2 1/2" at the widest part and weighs 80.4 grams or 2.83 ounces. Dolly wore this when I was a boy in the very early sixties and she probably owned it much longer than that. Arts and Crafts style desk or library table is in excellent condition. I have owned it since the late 1980's and have not altered the finish. Although it may have been refinished prior to my ownership. This desk is very sturdy. The dimensions are 47 3/4" long X 28" deep X 30 1/4" high. Nice copper hardware is complete and original. The drawers at each side open out at a slant and though I'm not sure what was the original use for them. They just happen to be the perfect size for CD's/DVD's for your computer software! There are two drawers in the middle. The lower of these is a regular drawer, but the upper drawer has a writing surface that tilts up with hidden storage space beneath it. The writing surface also has a circular ink well opening. This desk is constructed of quarter-sawn oak. I think the bottoms of ... morethe drawers have been replaced with wood other than oak. Up for auction is an antique E. Ingraham. Bristol, Conn. Arts& Crafts period mission wall clock. The clock is in very good condition and working. It gongs on the hour and strikes the bell on the 1/2 hour. Very solid and well constructed, the clock measures 28" long, 12-3/4" wide, 4-3/4" deep and used 3/4" thick planks of wood. Vintage Art Nouveau Arts& Crafts Natural Amethyst Sterling Silver Bracelet This auction is for a finely made and richly colored Arts& Crafts influenced amethyst bracelet. This piece is marked"925" for sterling silver and the stones are natural Amethyst. This bracelet is influenced by Arts& Crafts pieces but is much newer and is a fine reproduction. The bracelet measures 8" long. It is a bit fuller than 1/2" wide at its widest point, and is 1/4" thick at its thickest point. The bracelet has a sturdy and substantial feel and weighs 28 grams. This piece closes securely with the original toggle clasp. This piece is unique for the rich color of the amethyst stones- they are thick and domed in shape, jutting out from the base of the setting, and are faceted all across the top. The amethysts are open at the back ... moreto allow the light to pass through and show of the pretty color and natural fissures in the stones. There are no chips or surface wear to the amethyst, they all have fresh surfaces that gleam, and faceting that is crisp and refractive.
