Authentic, true example of Unger Brothers workmanship at its finest Art Nouveau sterling woman with flower-adorned bonnet The patina enhances the intricacies of the design Marked with UB logo on back. Along with sterling I used to attach her to a beaded necklace. Sometimes pearls- when I think of this I don't want to part with her, but I am downsizing my"stuff" Condition: over one hundred years old. She does have some age issues. One ding on her cheek. Numerous dings on the back of the bonnet- see photo 2. Old-style pin has no safety clasp(never did) and is bent, but still closes fine. On close inspection I realize tip of pin is only slightly pointed, not sharply pointed- would be careful what type of fabric to pin her into. This piece is in 14kt. yellow gold(marked) and features iridescent guilloche limey yellow enamel fading to pale pink around the outside edges. The color is radiant and difficult to describe. There is veining in the enamel simulating natural leaf veining. The center of the piece has a round prong set diamond. Surrounding the diamond on"spikes" are 8 natural, round shaped creamy white pearls. The maker's mark on the piece is for Bippart, Griscom& Osborne of Newark, New Jersey. Very organic and there are a total of 9 Links. Each link is attached by a since Chain Link on each corner so there is a little articulation and the Clasp is a Spring Ring Clasp on a looped Chain which connects to another small looped Chain on the other side. One on each side, and in France, which was known for romance, such duplicates stand for toi et moi(you& me) The Minerva in a squarish box indicates that the goblet is of French origin with a silver content of 950, which was their equivalent mark for sterling silver. The makers mark is on the bottom of the goblet L C with a large X, the mark of Louis Coignet a Parisian silversmith from 1889-1893. This beautiful Art Nouveau goblet cup is approximately 8 cm(3 2.5/16 inches) in height, with a bottom diameter of approx. 5 cm(1 15.5/16 inches) and open top diameter of approx. 6.4 cm(2 8.5/16 inches) and weighs approximately 103.8 grams. It is. I think, just a stunning chair. Understated and elegant. I suspect it's circa 1940s, but can't be certain. The chair has a lovely grain and appears to be primarily solid mahogany, except the center backsplat is veneered- with a beautifully figured wood- I think a burl mahogany, but I'm not certain. The ... morefinish appears to be original(it has a wonderful color and patina! The faded green velvet covering covers an older, pink brocade over a padded wood slat seat. There is no visible maker's mark. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. It is just a beautiful chair. The finish is in nice condition. With nicks and superficial scratches. I think the velvet looks perfect as it is- showing age and some charming fading, but with no damage. Structurally, it's nice, solid and level and without wobble or play. Offered is a fabulous antique carved shell cameo depicting an Art Nouveau lady. She is carved in good relief in white against a caramel background. She has her hair up and plaited. And ther is a leafy scroll type decorative surround typical of the period art. This is a brooch pendant combo, with a silver mark at the bottom of 800. This has an old t bar with an early locking clasp. The bale for the pendant folds down. It measures 1 1/4" in diameter. Stunning true period piece. This is a nice antique 1904 World's Fair Veiled Prophet Parade tray with art nouveau decoration. The 1904 parade was celebrating art and architecture and the tray was actually done after an actual place at the St. Louis World's Fair. In pretty good shape with a really nice patina but does have some minor wear from age like that shown. Pretty antique art nouveau stickpin. Stamped G in a circle 10K on the stalk. Contains one square cut synthetic ruby- could be real, but not sure, set point to point, that shows wear under a loupe with nicks/abrasions/chips, but has a really pretty red/pink color.
